Q1 is over and this is my result. I am very happy with my progress.


It was a roller coaster of emotions for me but prayer and meditation really helped me get through it as I had to pay a lot of dues, house rent e.t.c. without putting pressure on the account. I am well on my way to hit my targets for the year. A new phone and a prop firm account are the main targets by the end of this quarter.

I also noticed that about 90% of mg trades have been longs. I read earlier in my trading career that one should not fall for picking a side when trading.(i.e don't wake up in the morning and decide to either be a bull or a bear, allow the market dictate to you what you should be) and I started to wonder why it seems like I am sticking with the bulls.
I knew that the markets are bullish, but what are the odds that I barely take any short trades so I fell for the trap and started looking for sells in overextended markets thinking my wins are a fluke and how will I cope when the market switches to sells? Will I even notice in time enough to avoid blowing my account?

And so I fell for the mistake of taking what could be for what is. I looked for shorts and sold🤣 I took 4 trades and 4 losses that day then I just turned off my data and went to play games. I didn't take it to heart because you win some and lose some, at least I didn't until I reviewed the trades... And they are exactly the same type of trades that blow my accounts every time because I have a fixed bias, it hits my SL, I refuse to ask myself questions as to why my SL was hit, I place some more trades, lose some more and I think you know how it goes from here😁

I was so pissed at myself I couldn't think happy thoughts. It happened at 1 pm, the anger came after the review by 4pm. I went to bed angry and deprived myself of food that night and the next day as punishment. I'm on guard now and I'll trade what the markets give me. My mind saw that I had no problems and went to create problems for me, I thank God though that I passed through unscathed. It's like I've been saying for a while now, "YOU SEE WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE!"




Otherwise my trading was relatively good and I noticed two things; One, I don't consolidate after breaking into a major threshold. Let's say I hit $200 this week, I won't stay at $200 next week, I might take some losses and drop to $160 first then when I get into $200 threshold the second time, I stay there. This realization is what prompted me to make this second realization. Two, Just like NEPA, I get 2 week's on and 1 weeks off😁 though it's not consistent, I make profit for two weeks and I make a loss on the on the other week.



That's all about my Q1 as always I will welcome ideas from my bosses as regards to psychology, risk management, scaling the account, trade management e.t.c... Thank you for reading my long epistle.

Some Nigerians there are even making over 100k per month, you're talking about 30k . Although most of them have been there for years and are very active, but for a newbie, 30k is very possible and you can go higher as you spend more time on the platform. I won't advice you to quit your job yet, you can do it side by side with your job to see if it's something you can be consistent with, because many people actually give up within weeks of joining. Then again, having it as a side hustle isn't bad either, many people on the platform have offline jobs as well

One question though, how do you know the direction of the London session? What do you look out for?

For the USOIL, I just draw a support/resistance line (from the beginning of the Asian session), and set my buy stop and sell stop. Works 8 out of 10 times.

I use period separators on the MT5, if right from the open which is Asia, price started selling, it'll definitely reverse on London open, so I'll wait it out and wait for candlesticks formation to buy into London, vice versa if price starts buying right out of the gate on market open.

On ranging days, I'll draw support and resistance and trade breakout which mostly happens during London open.

The sickest thing about this easy peasy method is, you don't lose much because there isn't high volatility, even if market goes against you, you won't lose much, you can also use reasonable stops.

I've gotten a lot of value from this thread, just thought of dropping one or two stuffs that have been helping me lately in trading Gold.

I only trade from 6am to 10am, I don't trade New York session, I leverage Asian session slow moves to know the direction of London and I'm mostly in the market during London open, I capitalize on the quick spurts/momentum at the open and I'm done.

I'm mostly right, and when I'm not, I quickly close my positions, and done for the day.

I hope this helps someone, I'm also open for questions on my method.

Unpredictable though, but when you have a good plan and take it gradually by increasing your trade lots, and compounding it for long, for months, you can then believe in your self more. You will also have a very loosing trades for long and consecutively, but dont over leverage and over trade, and pause when you are not making way forward. But low leverage and low lots will still keep you afloat.

I will also advice you to gradually build a substantial capital by carefully select your trades. Then buy a prop account from a reputable firm like FTMO or 5er. That is how you can expand your trades tentacles and build up. All the best.

Thanks, I'll definitely not over leverage, my plan is to continue using the lowest lot till I get to around 50k, then I'll increase it to 0.02.

I've never been a fan of prop firms, but I just checked out the 5%er and they seem solid, their rules are not over the top like others, also been in the game since 016, 5k account is also affordable, I might bite the prop bullets in the next few weeks.

I'm using Exness Broker, go to their website and register and then verify your account using an identification document could be NIN Slip, Passport etc and then deposit, I think the least you can deposit is 10$ which is around 16k Naira and the least you can withdraw is 4,000 Naira.

Complains = THE FUNDED TRADER

• Manually breaching accounts.
• Hidden rules and termination of live accounts.
• No payouts for heavy amounts.
• Auto breaching accounts regardless if trades are carried out or not.
• Mauled most of their already funded traders accounts after migration.
• DX trade is terrible but, the broker is worst.
A suspicious outage was carried out that liquidated challenges and funded accounts, huge loss for traders. CEO trying to bribe with Dragon challenges, refunds and bonuses. This is to ensure more losses to already funded accounts and progressing challenge accounts. What this means;

If there are 10,000 live funded account, 6K may be affected (assuming many didn't trade during the outage)

However many of them (6K) who trade, let assume 2K have all their accounts in drawdown or breach as STOP LOSS and TAKE PROFITS was ignored by the platform.

Some of those that refuse to trade too was breached. The support will keep beating around the bush and use delay tactics to pin traders.

Migration scandal ! Extra breaches during changing platforms, many withdrawals were revoked. Some LUCKY low figure payouts was accepted.

Summary : Less funded traders, less withdrawals. The breaching will HELP TFT reduce live accounts that may be considered as "THREATS".
TFT is suffering from some level of financial crisis.

I've never been a fan of prop firms because I hate silly rules like 10% draw down lols, I rather fund my own money and trade.

1. Ensure you have some cash saved up for feeding and misc expenses
2. Make sure you are single (that's nobody depends on you for their livelihood)

Bro Sir, i dont think its advisable to quit your job. Gold trading and indices are the easiest ways to skyrocket your account and then loose all, then blow the account away like paper on the runway. Its as easy as that. if its something you can run together with your job , please do. Just have a weekly target or so and enter markets on those active, trending days. If you trade daily, you may run into serious problem, when markets range considering your level of exposure to fx markets.
Even that $3000 as donsheddy said, is not guaranteed that you wont blow it within a month. Think twice and restrategize. we wey don dey trade live since 2007 self never quit our major source of income. we go run out for months and later run back again... na so we dey roll am

When I quit my job, I quickly discovered that I was not as skilled as much as I thought I was, I fully spent 1 year on Forex like dedicated my life to forex for 1 full year. I was footing my bills and also trading with my savings through that year and I fully respect myself for how I was able to handle everything without going to zero before getting another Job even though I was losing money constantly

Did I regret my actions,,,, no!!!!!!!!!! Inshort I should have resigned earlier, because right now I know exactly what to expect and what I need to succeed as a full time day trader because I have firsthand experience,

Crazy how I have a job which pays me higher than my previous job but the amount of USD I can afford is way less than what I used to buy when I was jobless

You see, doing the right thing at the right time can be so important that it overweight merit. You should have hit the iron while it's red. It always have to be sex before emotion or feelings. By bedding her when she was still over you, she would have been in your position right now, thinking about you all the time and how she could have been more nice to you.

Nevertheless, all hope aren't lost. She's just playing on your intelligence since there's nothing intimate between you two already. I would rather you call her, but just as friend, and not sound needy or desperate. Ask how she's fairing and don't let the call be more than 1mins. See what happens afterwards. But if they have, you can bring it back 95% of the time.

So how do we know?

● When you call her (not more than twice) just check up on her and see how she's doing.... if she says anything like "oh you now remember me" OR "like you even care" Just ask how she's doing... in a warm, caring way. Don't logically reply to those her comments. Just ignore and warmly ask how she's doing. This reaction means her feelings are almost expired completely. Probably just a few left

Now if she's cold with bad or negative energy, her feelings have expired completely. She's officially in the resentment spot. But don't take it seriously. Don't act angry or sad or feel bad. Warmly address how she's feeling and the situation without blaming yourself course. By blaming yourself, I mean don't say anything like "I wanted to call you" or "I should have called it's my fault. Basically don't say anything that blames you.

Just address the situation between you two... express how you don't like it because you actually fúck with her. At this point, she'll soften up or warm up a bit to a point where you can continue and steer the conversation towards you meeting her again.

Now, all of this is for if you still want her in your life as a FWB or girlfriend. Because she'll not accept to be just your friend. It's too late for that.
