The last time I bought phone, I couldn't find any for less than ₦100k. I was so afraid to touch any brand I couldn't recognise, I just asked for my iTel. All the phones are all sealed, you literally have to make your choice from reading the packaging.

I was seeing names I don't know, I said please take these away from me and get me what I can identify at least.

Not with the current state of things. Even earning in USD doesn't make so much of a difference because the inflation in Nigeria has made every single thing overvalued.

If you have a similar earning in other West African countries today as you have in Nigeria, you would be abito meet your daily needs comfortably at least.

How can you charge ₦100 for on-site atm that would only dispense ₦10k per withdrawal. This is not yet considering all the taxes in vat and electronic transfers. Expectedly, bank ATMs would be clogged making life more miserable for people.

The only time you use an off-site ATM is when you bank ATMs is faulty or not close by. Why should consumers pay that price? These taxes are literally transferring ATM service charges from the banks to the customers, worse still, they are doing it at a profit.

Now bankers salaries increase and literally only banks, oil and some big manufacturers are reporting profits. Every other parastatal is cutting costs and getting flushed out of the system.

Only few people know but millions of people would not survive the current hardship literally.

The solution is either fall to their will which is cashless or go hardcore cash heavy by ignoring the banking system.

Someone selling oranges on his hard would accept Opay transfer. It surprised me.

The downside is government monitoring all your transactions for the inevitable taxation.

I remember a guy came to hotel and order two bottle water.

Time to pay, he was told it is ₦600 (combined) and he was sincerely shocked. I have to gently explain that naira has lost value and before this year is over, one "pure water" sachet would be ₦50.
