The way this guy aggressively pursues taxation, it's shocking that he claims to be muslim, because tax and taxation are haram in İslam. |

RandDigital: We have very bold journalists and personalities ourselves, which is why we are no walkover by either you, Trump or Netanyahu - incase you haven't noticed.
I don't know how we'd be left to "envy" you in that regard unless your intention is to be envied. Similar behaviour during a government press conference in France or Singapore (by an outsider in particular) would be met with a similar reaction. Keep painting your country in a bad light. Shalom.
As for the drug dens statements, Kubayi is indeed sugarcoating it - everyone in SA including Nigerians know what's up with Nigerians and shady business. There you go again, sidestepping the point. Some human beings are journalists, but all journalists are human beings. The point is, If you go treating all people badly because of the actions of some, then not only do you get the kind of frustrated reaction we saw from that journalist, you end up painting yourself in a bad light. You South Africans will be explaining yourselves for a veeery long time. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: SA Minister Tells Nigerian Journo To Show Respect During Media Briefing - VIDEO by Factoryfitted: 5:23am On Jul 13 |
RandDigital: No, Minister Kubayi addressed the issue of Minister Ntshavheni in detail. But your journalist proceeded to attempt to run the show.
KUBAYI'S RESPONSE TO DRUG DENS STATEMENT
"The Minister is not going to issue an apology because sitting here as the chair of the Inter-ministerial Committee, I have listened to her, and we can debate, we can argue that the South African minister has done something wrong. The appropriate channel is for that to be done through Dirco, through the diplomatic channels, and that shall be responded within those channels.
"I do not think it's appropriate for a confrontation at this point. Minister Ntshavheni never said all Nigerians are drug dealers in the statement. Never. There's nowhere were she says that.
"She spoke about drug dens, and my explanation is that if you listen to the marchers, you listen to the South Africans. That's what they have given us as feedback to say, ministers, please, go to Hillbrow, go to Sunnyside. We do have this challenge of drug dens that are there. It is South Africans who are saying to us some of them are run by Nigerians, and Minister Ntshavheni was explaining the feedback that we have received from South Africans.
"Not that it is the belief that Nigerians, all Nigerians that are here, are drug dealing. That's not what she said, and I don't think a demand for an apology from her is warranted, nor is it appropriate. Thank you." This line in your first paragraph: proceeded to attempt to run the show is the actual Genesis of the fallout with Nigerians. The source of the hate towards ALL Nigerians. The perception/belief that Nigerians, wherever, tend to "run the show". No one can take away the fact that Nigerians are born bold. They are industrious in whatever they set out to do, good or bad. So while we may argue or debate all day whether that is a good or a bad thing, try to hide the real motive for all the animosity under layers of political correctness and diplomatic rhetoric, no one is fooled. The whole beef stems from good old envy. Pure and simple. Nigerians are by no means the only ones dealing drugs in south africa, and drug dealing, or any vice for that matter, should never be condoned. But the bias runs so deep that even Minister kubayi believes that All drug dens ... and then she quickly goes on to correct to some drug dens are run by Nigerians. And you, quietly omitted that. Why? |

Business › Re: How Much Is Needed To Start Up A Gas Refilling Business? by Factoryfitted: 2:05pm On Jun 07 |
IDERAWOLE: It depends on the scale or size of business you're planning to embark upon. However, take note of this:
Setting up a gas skid refilling plant is a highly viable business venture in the current economic climate. The demand for LPG is strong and growing, and the skid model offers an efficient path to market for entrepreneurs with medium-scale capital. With meticulous planning, strict adherence to safety regulations, and a customer-focused approach, this business is well-positioned to generate consistent, long-term profits and strong returns on investment.
So, I can give you a detailed set-up plan if indicate what size your looking at.
For a gas skid, you'll be looking at a capital of #5m. If it's just a shop size, it's going to be far less than this. You can have a detailed plan including returns on the business and how fast you can recover your investment. How do you mean, when you say "gas skid", please? Also could you respond to the other mentions for clarifications? Thanks |

Education › Re: FG Moves To Scrap HND–Degree Dichotomy, Empower Polytechnics To Award Degrees by Factoryfitted: 12:30am On Jan 23 |
Nwaikpe: At this point, it is clear that the leaders don't know the meaning of education.
If you remove the distinction between a degree and an HND, you then will need to develop another institution that caters to the needed technical skills. And then, those people will face the dichotomy again.
There is nowhere in the world where a technical diploma is equated to a degree or "academic diploma" (as in Germany Austria, Finland, etc.) The technical diploma was meant to complement the academic diploma (degree).
There is a very important distinction in these two systems: the course credit system.
The course credit system for academic diplomas is based mainly on class (course) hours. While the credit for the diploma is based mainly on lab (practical) hours. That is why everywhere in the world, degrees do 90% class and 10% practicals (to appreciate the theory), while technical diplomas do 90% practicals and 10% class work (to conceptualize the practicals).
Although due to the twisted nature of the Nigerian educational system, you will see polytechnic students doing 60% classwork, 20% practicals, and 20% argument on how they are better than university graduates.
That is why the mechanical engineering polytechnic student is busy running around, looking for how to solve strength of materials equations, to prove that he knows "the theory," when he is supposed to be learning turning operations on the lathe machine. While the mechanical engineering student is running around, looking for how he can learn turning operations on the lathe machine so that he can prove that he knows "the practicals," when he is supposed to be solving strength of materials equations.
Then the graduate engineer runs around, looking for jobs that should be for the technologists, and the graduate technologists run around looking for jobs that should be for the graduate engineer. The employer now sees that the engineering graduate is not qualified to be a technologist because he is not practical enough, and the technologist graduate is not qualified to be an engineer because he is not theoretically grounded enough. Both of them lose the jobs and become unemployable. Then they blame the government.
Truly a twisted system.

Winterhaven: As long as blacks keep reacting and giving these racists attention, then racism will never end...
Completely ignore such racists and give them zero attention and watch how racism due to skin colour will gradual fade away. One major part of the problem is the way native Africans and African descendents have accepted to be called black to the extent they have internalised it. There is nothing good about the color black. It signifies death... destruction... a complete absence of life and light. Who is actually black? Like, tar black in the real sense of the word? No one! Who is actually white? Like paper white? Again, no one! So the concept of some people calling themselves white and other people black is just a tool of the same age-old subjugation/colonisation project. Its mind control. And Africans accepting to be labelled thus is just playing into the narrative and perpetuating the evil. Simple. |

owobokiri: This kind of statement only helps to mormalise infamy. You make it look like at their default mode, a northerner must be violent. I am afraid that is not true. We are all brutish at the base. It is not peculiar to anyone, unless when emboldened by religion and the absence of punishments.
They used to get away with all sorts of violence in the north. Massacres ontop Massacres. It lasted for years. Shariah riots under Obasanjo claimed nearly ten thousands lives! No one was sent to jail for that. Remember when Gideon Akaluka was beheaded at Kano and his skull put on a spike!? No one was arrested nor prosecuted for that. Remember the lady that was stoned to death in Sokoto? No one was arrested over that.
As long as you refuse to punish criminal offenders for their violent crimes, they will not stop. You need to make very rigid laws and make sure that the application is perfect. Send someone to the firing squad for murder and others around him will fall in line... ... And the man who spearheaded the killing, beheading and dehumanising of Gideon Akaluka was a Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, whom yeah, you guessed right, is today the Emir of Kano. No repercussions, no prosecution. And then you hear the same guy pontificate about the rule of law from time to time. And yet you wonder that we are even talking about a genocide where Christians are the main victims |

If this allowed to happen, for whatever reason, then Tinubu would have achieved his long-term objective - being a perpetual president.
Why wouldn't he be? If Nigeria were to be at war then it's Niger vs ECOWAS all over again. This time with more far reaching, far more deadly consequences.
After all who cares if people are dying if he gets the sit-tight status that he craves.
Smh. Master strategist indeed. Perhaps that is why the security situation has been allowed to fester this long. |
