Oraelena: It will shock you that women like Debby won't stand for something like that, did you see her presentation during the one campaign? She said that as a woman she will give you back what you give her,if you give her pain she'll give u pain and vice versa, people like her that love hard can become dangerous if their heart is toyed with, see how she abandoned Efe when she realised he didn't like her,she only clung to Bassey cos he gave her attention. At times it's even the women that form hard that end up in abusive relationships, it's not by gragra that you know a strong woman.
Don't let these pseudo psychologist sway you, there is no such thing as a weak woman we are all strong in our own way. Fifteen points for you dearie. |

dammyllare: A debie will allow you bring a woman to your matrimonial bedroom, cook for her, and still apologize to her for putting too much salt in the food Because she doesn't want to loose her man Na wetin she do to aunt tboss tonight b dat I see your point Dammy. Not every guy tho is like that. I pray she gets a man who recognizes her cool qualities, is patient with her when she is not being so cool and helps her build her confidence in herself by constantly being there for her. |

tafrica: Broz, she might make a good wife because her husband will probably completely control and manipulate her like TBoss does, it might later end into abuse in marriage sincerely because her husband might gradually begin to lose respect for her. Also she might not make a good mother because she might raise her children like she is. I liked Debbie when she got into the house but she has lost her sparks to worshiping and servicing Tboss But do you know the fact? Every guy who has his head screwed on right would want a woman like Debie, provided the affection is mutual, because where wahala wan pass enter the home? She simply won't allow it happen. Even if you wen be man dey fain where to make trouble self you go tire. You conscience no go gree you. Abeg Debie rocks jare. Sms: Vote Efe. Send to 32052. Get your family. Vorpal: Then state exactly the point.
How is being called black makes you inferior? Because the white man said black symbolizes evil and white means purity?
I know if that is the analogy you wish to use as a reason for being called black is debasing, then am afraid the white man is smarter than you. Ok. I'll do that when I create a seperate thread for it, lest we derail this one. I'll mention you there. This convo is far from over. |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija 2017: Live Thread by Factoryfitted: 10:57pm On Apr 05, 2017 |
1bkaye: This is so ignorant. It's an inherently offensive, hateful and derogatory word, it's rooted in slavery, also, not every black person says the word so just because some people are ok with using it, doesn't mean others are, you can't tell people how they should react to it. Precisely said. Just listen to your typical newscaster on a foreign news channel call an Afrisoid man a 'Black man' and you know its not just words. |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija 2017: Live Thread by Factoryfitted: 10:46pm On Apr 05, 2017 |
Vorpal: All that grammar when you can easily say 'black' or 'white'?
Question is, what is really wrong in being referred to as a black man? Or a coloured person? All of these things boils down on how you choose to interpret these things.
It's just like the word nigger, blacks greet themselves with that same word but when a white does it, it is taken as an offence. Why?
In my opinion, it is blacks who take such words as an offence that have given them the supposed 'power' or 'supremacy' by making such words have an effect on them.
The truth of the matter is not in the name you bear, or are called but how you carry it. If I hold a phd at age 25, a billionaire at 35, became governor of a state at 50. Does me being called nigger or not change who I am?
Blacks should look towards what matter, for a start, being a major influential player in the society they are resident in than bickering about something completely irrelevant to their status in the society. Smiles. You obviously missed the point Vorpal. |

NLevents: I am sure if you are a white woman you will question me if I had used an Africa American lady on the poster and ask if it was a party for the blacks Why does anyone refer to a group of people as white and another group as black anyway? You most definitely know what the color of white looks like as in white paper; I bet you also know what the color black looks like, as in charcoal... No human being looks like any of those. The concept of 'black' or 'white' is just part of the whole white supremacist quest to drive the the feeling of inferiority into those of African descent. Sad thing too is alot of us Africans just play into that because we have knowingly or unknowingly accepted that as true, being inferior. My point? 'Black' or 'Negro' or 'white' simply doesnt exist as a skin color. You are either Causasian American or African American or Caucasoid Brit or Afrisoid Brit. And if nationality of the person is unknown or whatever, then they be referred to as An Afrisoid male or caucasian or caucasoid female or a mongoloid for that matter if the person is from the far east. Just my two cents. |

adudu208: This is a movement and it is way bigger than Efe himself. It is a reflection of how a supposed have-not will beat a bunch of proclaimed haves.
It is a story of hope and how it will inspire many more people years after the show. Period. Those words right there explain precisely the reason the guy has such a broad fanbase across the spectrum of society, no matter the class or creed. Its not supposed to be difficult to understand. #TheEfemovement. |
