The Nigerian woman who was put up for sale for $1,000 on Facebook in Lebanon has been rescued, a government body representing Nigerians abroad has said.

The woman in her early thirties from the city of Ibadan in western Nigeria was now “safe” and her brother in Nigeria had been contacted, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, which falls under the foreign ministry, told Middle East Eye.

This comes as Lebanese authorities on Thursday arrested Wael Jerro, the man thought to be responsible for the advertisement, which it said could fall under the crime of human trafficking.

The president suggested that Coronavirus patients could perhaps be injected with disinfectants that could "knockout" the coronavirus in "a minute". This was moments before he asked the bewildered head scientist of the possibility of passing some UV lights through patient's bodies to annihilate the virus! Who say things like this?!??

From the video clip being shared on social media, he made the remark after Bill Bryan, who leads the Department of Homeland Security’s science and technology division, gave a presentation on research his team has conducted that shows that the virus doesn’t live as long in warmer and more humid temperatures.

Bryan said, “The virus dies quickest in sunlight,” leaving Trump to wonder whether you could bring the light “inside the body.”



Now, when Trump took over the stage, he said to Bryan: “So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just a very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn’t been checked because of the testing. And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too.”

He added: “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”

He didn’t specify the kind of disinfectant.

This has stirred heated reactions all over the media, with medical professionals, including Dr. Vin Gupta, a pulmonologist and global health policy expert dismissed the President’s speech as “improper health messaging.”

“This notion of injecting or ingesting any type of cleansing product into the body is irresponsible and it’s dangerous,” said Gupta, per NBC, “It’s a common method that people utilize when they want to kill themselves.”

Ghanaians took to the streets in their numbers to celebrate after the 21-day Coronavirus lockdown order was lifted, though public gatherings are still banned.

President Nana Akufo-Addo announced Sunday, April 19, in a televised address, that Ghana is lifting a 21-day lockdown of its biggest cities after the restrictions bought the government enough time to improve its preparedness for the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents of the capital, Accra, and major centers will be allowed to return to work from Monday even though other restrictions such as school closures and a ban on sport and religious meetings remain in place, Akufo-Addo said.

Ghana has spent the three-week lockdown to conduct more than 68,000 tests and draw-up plans to establish testing centers in all of its 16 regions, Akufo-Addo said. Local factories commenced the production of protective equipment while drone services are used to speed-up the transportation of tests, he said.

Confirmed cases reached 1,042 with nine deaths, while the results of 18,000 testing samples remain outstanding.

“Lifting these restrictions doesn’t mean we are letting our guard down,” said Akufo-Addo. “We’ll tailor our solution to our unique social economic and cultural condition. There’s no one-size fits all approach.”

A video has surfaced on YouTube showing citizens and residents of China reacting to the ‘controversial prophecy’ from Prophet TB Joshua that the coronavirus outbreak would end in Wuhan, China by 27th March, 2020.

He said he immediately dismissed Joshua’s prophecy as a “fake prophecy” but became perplexed when heavy rain fell across the region from 23rd to 26th March 2020.

Within that time frame, Wuhan declared it had no new confirmed cases of the disease, leading the resident to change his perception of Joshua’s authenticity.

Sun, a Chinese citizen went on to confirm that the few cases being managed now arose from foreign travellers, but domestic cases had completely ceased.

“March 27th was the last day for the virus to finish in the epicentre,” a Chinese doctor further corroborated, explaining that the heavy ‘lockdown’ imposed by the Chinese government has now been lifted.

“We started working on March 27th,” a Chinese citizen in Shanghai equally stated, adding, “95% of our offices are now working.”

Joshua came under scrutiny on social media after clips of his prophecy regarding coronavirus emerged.

However, the full clip of the prophecy shows Joshua’s message on March 1st and 2nd was directed specifically towards Wuhan, China.

In his prophecy for 2020, Joshua had declared it “the year of humility”, specifying that “God would use challenges such as affliction to humble us” – leading many of his supporters to link such terminology with the ongoing outbreak and its extraordinary worldwide ramifications.
