We knew Church to be a place where the word of God is been disseminated to Christians. Its a place where sermon were delivered to educate and enlighten Christian on the need to follow the Ethics and virtue of Christendom. In a secular state like Nigeria where we have Islam, Christian and Traditional worshipers, any issues relating to religion in the country is pretty delicate and sensitive.
It bored and seems to me incoherent if president want to talk in the church, he bowed to raising political issues, attacking opposition parties, denouncing issues in the church and many other political issues were raised any day Jonathan visit any church. what of if other politicians adopted the same strategies of raising political issues in the Mosque or traditional worshipers gathering, what did you expect is gonna happen? the country will be heading to what will not be able to control.
well, i will implore the President not to play to the gallery by using the name of religion to seek vote or raise any political issues in any religion gathering. What we want from the president is to nurture a level playing ground in the country as he's the president of Christians, Muslims and Traditional worshipers. Politics is a different entity that cannot be associated to religion, both are like fire and water! to avoid divisive act, we the too need to be distance afar. Performance is what Nigerian are yearning for not created religion sentiment amongst the good people of Nigeria.
