bc i had 217 and 60..applied geophysics (coc) no admission yet

ELIGIBILITY: candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in 2015 (UTME) conducted by Joint admissions matriculations board(JAMB) are eligible irrespective of their most preferred choice institutions

Good morning every body, its no more news that FUTA has commence the sale of another POST UTME form for admission into the newly approved departments

Courses available are

Accounting
Computer engineering
Business administration
Economics
Human anatomy
Physiology
Biotechnology
Biomedical tech....
The deadline for the form is Nov 3rd

Yea. Exactly.. I wanted to change to FST.. One Lecturer was telling me to change to Biology.. I didn't follow his instructions! Na hin go dey mock me if person go back to class to dey teach after 5 years in sch.. Unless person get first class maybe dem fit retain am!

Is there a difference BTW studying Biology for 5 years in FUTA and Biology Education for 4 years degree in Adeyemi College of Edu.

I won't deceive you bro, the only Difference is one is BEdu & the other is BTech....

My kid brother has a higher JAMB and post ume score than yours yet he hasn't been admitted to study EEE. I spoke with at least two lecturers in School of Engineering and I was strongly advised to get him a COC form because EEE currently ranks top as the Dept with the highest cut off mark in the school and if an applicant's aggregate score isn't up to 70%, the chance of being admitted is very slim. (my brother's aggregate score is 69.4% and yours seem lesser). I was told he might still get admitted into EEE dept but rather than having all his eggs in one basket only for him to be given admission later to study a completely different course from what he desires, he should buy a COC form and kukuma wedge his risk.

I seeked my brother's opinion yesterday and after thorough deliberation, he decided to opt for Physics Electronics as it shares similar curriculum with EEE. I would advise you do similar.

Admission in FUTA is very competitive now,The reason why good courses (so to say) are not in change of course is because some of you guys who did extra-ordinary well will still get your preferred courses.so they dont want more people to jostle for them...make sure you obtain the coc form if you really want to gain admission,don't wait till next year....Next year maybe worse.A bird at hand........

Yes, but that would be a very very big risk. Even if u buy the form you might still be given ur initial course depends on ur score... My advice for u is don't take d risk, u might end up sitting at home for another 1 year....

Information got to me not quite long about a just concluded meeting in school. It says "A form will be out in 2/3 weeks time for those who wanna study Economics, Business admin & other related courses which will be stated.

And if you know any staff in school that can be of help & you had a good score, start running to them before FUTA go change your Destiny from CSC, EEE, MEE to CSP & other courses you don't have passion for.....

Information got to me not quite long says "The whole Admission List has not been compiled, that it's after full compilation then it will be pasted at the senate building notice board.. For those that hav seen their admission on FUTA site can proceed to print school admission letter & pay for their Acceptance fee... And for those with High/Good scores should calm down a bit as some of ur names are still gonna be included in d different courses/dept u guys choosed "

Resumption for freshers is on 15th Nov...

Based on what I have seen so far, I guess FUTA used aggregate this time around... A candidate with 88% in post Utme & 49% in jamb is not yet admitted, going for Electrical Engineering....

So if you're yet to see yours, I think that means you're gonna wait for change of course...

Congrats to those admitted, you're welcome to the Land of FUTA. Prepare to pay your acceptance fee before 21st of Sept...
