Ghostagain: If by bloodshed you mean genocide then you would be right. But like the not very knowledgeable guy you are, you oversimplify things. The USA started as a settler-colony of Britain, the settlers rebelled against Britain and went on to expand their colony through genocide. Russia on the other hand, went through the usual steps of how a country comes into existence: expansion. From house to clan, from clan to village, from village to city, from city to kingdom, from kingdom to larger kingdom (or empire). expansion like South ossetia or Crimea or even the donbass/dombass regions. Which of this expansions are you talking about thats. |

Ghostagain: It seems you don't understand the expression "colonisation". Every country which exists (except colonial constructs), came to existence through expansion. So you are basically blaming Russia for being a country. expansion...thats such a subtle word to use, isn't it. The Russian conquest of Siberia took place during 1580–1778, when the Khanate of Sibir became a loose political structure of vassalages that were being undermined by the activities of Russian explorers. Although outnumbered, the Russians pressured the various family-based tribes into changing their loyalties and establishing distant forts from which they conducted raids. It is traditionally considered that Yermak Timofeyevich's campaign against the Siberian Khanate began in 1580. The annexation of Siberia and the Far East to Russia was resisted by local residents and took place against the backdrop of fierce battles between the Indigenous peoples of Siberia and the Russian Cossacks, who often committed atrocities against Indigenous Siberians. A second ideological pillar justifying Russian colonialism was the spread of Eastern Orthodox Christianity, although this pretext originated largely from explorers and settlers themselves as an ad hoc justification rather than being put forward by the Russian Orthodox Church itself.

Mention 1. the ogaden war of 1977...helping the Ethiopians take over Somalian lands setting up a crisis that is still active to this day. Ghostagain: I knew it, you are seeing history in reverse. Former soviet states didn't exist as independent countries untill 1991. These are former regions of Russia which broke away from Russia. You confuse it with colonisation and independence like in Africa.
No, it is a country breaking up and giving birth to other countries. Also Chechnya is a region of Russia (currently), people like you always seem to think Chechnya is an independent country. Ukraine was a region of Russia which broke away in 1991, Georgia was a region of Russia, even Stallin (the horrible Russian dictator) was actually a Georgian. lol how did you think Russia conquered all those territories.....you think they fell from heaven?? From Siberia to yakutia, Manchuria to Chechnya down to the baltic states...every single one of them was conquered and colonized |

2. So you also mean that Russia mistakenly helped Ethiopia to beat its would be coloniser (Italy) because Russia didn't "got the chance" ?
3. I guess Russia helped Lumumba because "it never got the chance" ? While your beloved USA and Belgium killed Lumumba and did many coups in Africa.
4. You need to stop talking about things which you do not master, repeating propaganda only makes it annoying to exchange with you because it is like talking to a robot. The things you are saying, we've heard them several times already, but unlike you, we tend to use our own brains rather than just repeat what we heard from your favourite source. when you talk about Russia...they always assume you support America because to them its impossible to be pan-africa..........bro Bleep Russia and Bleep America. obedience4: All this are just epistles upon epistles
The Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, was signed on 1 SEPTEMBER 1939, there was no war when this was signed.WW2 had not started, Not a single bullet has been fired in Europe.
A week later on SEPTEMBER 17 1939 Germany invaded Poland starting what we now called WW2. The Soviet Union on 17 September also invaded its neighbour Poland and took its territory as part of the bargain they signed with nazi Germany on 1st SEPTEMBER 1939. The painful thing about this whole thing is that the Soviet union invaded Poland its neighbour violating the 1932 Soviet–Polish Non-Aggression Pact, and occupied the Polish territory assigned to it by the "Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact".
By March 1940, parts of the Karelia and Salla regions in Finland were annexed by the Soviet Union following the Winter War. The Soviet annexation of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and parts of Romania (Bessarabia, Northern Bukovina and the Hertsa region) followed. Stalin's invasion of Bukovina in 1940. All this nation's were invaded and annexed by the Soviet Union,by early 1941 the Soviet Union had occupied most of all the baltic States, this was an unprecedented unprokved attack by the Soviet Union all this came about because of the non aggression pact signed between the soviet union and nazis Germans on 1st SEPTEMBER 1939, there was no difference between nazi Germany and Soviet Union they both attacked and annexed territory at will.
So man, the pact was signed in 1st September during peace time and the war started on September 17 a week after the pact was signed, this is common knowledge sir.
Note also that prior to Germany invading Poland. on 16 of September a Soviet–Japanese ceasefire came into effect, this was to show that the pact was a condinated plan by Germany to allow themselves take up portions of Europe, while having not to worry about a possible Soviet Union intervention.
Most historians would dispute the cause of ww2, they are various theories of what caused ww2, many people have postulated different reasons why ww2 came about, get my point, the whole point of this agurement is that someone there keeps calling the US nazis, what am trying to say is that the Soviet union which many here so much loved was a principal partner of the nazis and they both made a pact to share northern Europe for themselves.
For the Germans military might. Am not disputing the Germans fighting ability, Firsty they had an head start over many nations, nations were still recovering from the horrors and the economic impacts of ww1, and most nations at that time was more keen to trade and commerce, if you look at the history of Germany rearmement, I shared the link with someone here, you will clearly see they coverty started military buildup decades ahead of everyone beefing up their military industry, by the time ww2 started Germany had more tanks than the entire Europe. They knew at some point they were going to fight a major war and they had alot of time to prepare for it.
Also I saw you saying the Germans were going to set there sights on the US, that's funny, there's is a reason why no nation have been able to invade the continental US. Natural barrier the Atlantic ocean, how would Germany move its troops to North America and invade the US, let me end by quoting the Japanese admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's when asked about Japanese war against the US he said and I quote "that the only way for Japan to win the war was to dictate terms in the White House" he knew that no matter how hard they fought and how many battles they won ad long as the US homeland remains untouched they would never gain a clear victory
My friend, in conclusion, am not discussing the causes of ww2 am just buttressing a vital point that before ww2 started the soviet union with it ally nazi Germany had a secret pact to invade and share Poland and also share northern Europe for themselves. they also forgot the tons of raw materials supplied by the ussr to the nazis which ironically was used against them in operation Barbrosa |

usmanpogo: Firstly, everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, changing history or the account of what happened should not be tolerated. I'm not trying to absolve the Soviets of any wrongdoings. If you perused my recent submission closely you would observed I never mentioned "Nazi", because it's an ideology, certain countries share similar ideologies, some countries share these ideologies, in Germany there's Nazism, in Italy they've the fascist movement, both movements are ultra-natinonalist in nature. We have these ultra-natinonalist in Russia, the US, Europe and other countries.
You claimed the Soviets made a secret pact to share Poland during a time of peace.
The question now is " when exactly do you think the so called world war 2 started ? You don't just wake up and start a world war, there was a build-up to the point things got escalated. In this instance the war started around 1938, I believe some people are deliberately leaving out or erasing some accounts of how things actually happened.
Thirdly, I'll repeat it "the f**king Germans had the best military and they had the industrial capacity to back it up" I can't believe anyone would dispute the might of the Germans during WW2, the Soviets were no match for the Germans, there was no greater force in the world during that period. The closest in might to the Germans after the modernization of the Germans army in Europe was the Soviet. The Germans not only captured and subjugated France but also Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Finally, if not for the Soviets paying the ultimate price( more than 20 million died) and the alliance ( the participation of the US mostly) your texts would have been in German lol
Fourthly, if Germany didn't invade the Soviets, we would all be speaking German by now, because Hitler, would take more than 80% of Europe and he would have his sight on the US, the only formidable ally the Germans had was the imperialist Japanese army and they sure had a beef with the US since the time the US took control of the Philippines. So yes both the Japanese and the Germans would have ruled the world with the Soviets playing catch up.
Disclaimer: this is not a glorification of Nazism or fascism or a subscription to any ultra-natinonalist movement but recognizing might where it is due.
cheers 🥂 whats the ultimate price you were talking about again?? Crazy fact: some of those polish deaths were carried out by the ussr and Poland was just a single country compared to the ussr...so don't bring up that ultimate price bullshit here.
