Nope, it is not accepted. You should ask your school to send the I-20 again, you probably need to pay for the shipping again. adedoja99: Good afternoon everyone. Please I need advise,
I gained admission into Morehouse college, and I've done everything necessary and also scheduled an appointment with the Lagos embassy. The only thing is my school used FedEx to mail my i-20 since 2 weeks ago and I've not received it. But I have a PDF copy the DSO signed and m sent to my email. Can I print that out in case FedEx doesn't deliver in time?
Thank you |

Search for Gilbert Strang on YouTube. You can also check MIT open courseware. If you want only the knowledge without a certificate attached to it, then this will be a good option for you. charlyduru: Good day everyone, please does anyone know where one can do a university level linear algebra and calculus as a friend who is not from a management background wants to go for a management masters degree? Perhaps online preferably |

Go through this thread from page 1 - 372. Also there is this wonderful tool called google.com it is very affordable. You will be needing it through out your application process. I am sure that after getting all the info you need, you will deactivate your account and never come to nairaland again. Good luck to escaping from Nigeria. tonidgreat: Hello NL,

Wow! You have an awesome CGPA (it will be around 3.7 - 3.75 WES conversion) coupled with one year experience as a research assistant and relevant experience too. With a good GRE and TOEFL scores, right choice of schools, you will surely get a full funded PhD offer. I will advise you to give GRE your best, the exam is a bit tricky but with consistent practice you'd get a competitive score. Check petersons.com to select list of schools, Gradcafe to see profiles of student admitted to programs you intend to apply to. I particularly don't like giving applicants list of schools. Also, use Quora, Linkedln the importance of networking(contacting graduate students in the prospective lab/program you intend applying to) can not be overemphasised. I would advise you to register for membership of Education USA, due to your class of degree membership form will be free. Also, apply for opportunity funding program. Visit this link; https://ng.usembassy.gov/education-culture/exchange-programs/opportunity-fund/P.S: I deleted my previous account because my moniker was my real name, you may have read my story. I am Mechanical Engineering major too, I will be pursuing PhD (direct PhD) in mechanical engineering this fall. Success bro! Kingzd: ..
Anyway, I plan on writing this exam soon. However, I will like to go for a direct Phd programme and I really need help with schools who can offer full funding.
Here is my profile ; Undergraduate: B.Eng. Mechanical CGPA: 4.57/5. I don't know what that would be on the WES scale, maybe 3.6/4 dunno Experience: Graduate Research Assistant 1yr., Automotive/ energy establishment 7months PhD Focus: Mechanical Eng. (Sustainable/Renewable Energy/Climate Adaptation, Energy/Power, Material Science) Schools Projected: I'm looking at UT, Boston University, Purdue and University of Minnesota
I kindly need advice and suggestions from all the pillars of this thread. Cheers!!! |

Congratulations!!! I admire your tenacity, inspiring indeed. learner007: MY STORY IN FULL!!!
On the back of 5 visa denials (admitted into UBC, Canada and visa denied 3times due to insufficient funds, travel history etc plus Cleveland State University - admitted, no GRE, no funding, denied twice last year) I went to the embassy yesterday. Got there about 5:50am for a 7am appointment. After all the checking in, we got on the queue to be interviewed. Windows 1&2 were not available so we sha couple. A VO was speaking Yoruba to aged applicants, it was really funny . Lots of Babcock students were on the queue, all of dem just collecting white paper like kilode Every interviewee had 2 others lined up behind them. The CGI lady sha put me in between 2 queues wen i got to d front. As I tried going to the lady in window 4 in an attempt to avoid a man from interviewing me based on my previous experiences, the lady dragged me back to the guy in window 6. Na so I look up say God Na mercy I need. After he denied the person right in front of me, he beckoned on me. I was like Jesú Klisti ooooooo. Did you mean me or my ancestors |
