Education / Gombe State Govt Vs Salaries Of Tertiary Institutions by farafa(m): 1:39pm On Dec 21, 2019 |
After four difficult, hard and uneasy months without salaries, just when staff from four Gombe State Government owned institutions are expecting all their unpaid salaries from the past four months to settle their numerous debts and carter for their families and needs, the State Govt just added salt to their overgrown wounds and rubbed it in by dispatching a document/circular which is Baseless, Unprofessional, Flimsy, Embarrassing and totally Out of Place. This Injustice and Unfair treatment is very unbearable and a difficult punishment of the highest order you can ever subject a civil servant to (only one who experience months without salary can narrate). Reasons are: 1. The govt can’t hold a public servants salary and wait for 4 whole and long months without giving a single reason for its action, and just when its propagandize to the whole world that its paying December salaries to its workers, thereby arousing a glimmer of hope from the minds of those estranged workers, then suddenly bring out a flimsy and uncalled for document/circular. 2. The Govt should understand that there is a great difference between the academic system/setting of tertiary institutions and that of secondary/primary schools, therefore the dispatched document/circular and its whole content is unprofessional, mischievous and just a means of the continued victimization of people who has already suffered allot. (Professional and unbiased minds should refer to section 2b of d document and judge d Gaffe made please). 3. The dispatch of the document by the Govt at a point in time when hopes and expectations of payments of all outstanding salaries is at its peak (Christmas and new year festival)can be seen as a means or excuse to shy away from paying these already suffering and victimised public servants. We therefore call on the Govt and the General public to please have mercy and fear of God and halt this punishment and maltreatment. idan gemun dan uwanka ya kama da wuta, katayashi Kashewa, sai kuma ka shafawa naka ruwa.. Don bakasan kaima yaushe naka zai iya kamawa ba. Long Live Gombe state. Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria

To: President Buhari On The Death of Yakubu Pindiga. The people of Gombe state and indeed northern Nigeria are disturbed enough on the incident that led to the death of one of our own, ASC Yakubu Pindiga. Mr. President Sir, you have been publicly sending condolences to the families of the victims of such incident in the other part of the country. But it seems like the soul of persons in the other part of the country are more valuable than ours, as the North is yet to get the same concern you gives to others there. Therefore, we have with us the following demands for you and your government to fullfill in order to make us feel that you have concern over the lives of our fallen heroes and particular over the death of ASC Yakubu Pindiga. These are: 1. Make a public condolences to the family of Yakubu Pindiga and condemn his killing. 2. Send a presidential delegation to come down to Pindiga and physically condole the family of Yakubu Pindiga. 3. With immediate effect, direct the relevant authority concern to pay to the family of Yakubu the financial compensation paid to persons whom lost their lives in an incident like this. 4. Direct for investigation into his death, apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Lastly, we do hope that your government will give adequate protection to persons who are far away to actualize the policies of your government. One is gone already, so protect those left at the battlefield so as to win the war perfectly. Allah Ya Gafartawa Malam Yakubu Pindiga. Yours Mal. Safiyanu DM, From Gombe state. |

Currently, We have being at the Kaltungo snake bite center where my brother is responding to treatment from the snake bite. We had to wait for almost three days before they brought the injection and each injection was N37,000. Also, I witness one death, a man was brought from Gombe yesterday evening, but he die as they arrived. No electricity, no water supply, no enough beds at that Kaltungo center/ billyG: billyG: |
