You are probably mixing the information up, I am a PR and an applicant for the Canadian AIrforce, from what I know, previously, only Citizens could apply to the armed forces, but recently, they opened it up to Permanent residents too, so this is what I think you came across. But maybe something else is cooking, I can't say. smartkester: I heard Canada is about to open new path way to Permanent Residency, something related to joining the armed forces. Please anyone with better information should help out. |

Go ahead and upload everything you have, the processing officers are not robots, provided you're stating the facts and have the trail even as stated by you, you will be fine. Attach and LOE to explain also it's not a problem. Zeemaan: Please for the bank statement, I recently sold some stocks on bamboo and whitdrew the money into the bank account I intend to use for pof.
But there is one issue. My bamboo account statement that shows me whitdrawing the ammount doesn't have any contact information. But my trade confirmation containing proof that I sold my stocks has "Lambeth Securities Capitals Limited" on it and no single mention of bamboo. The 2 documents don't align at all. Trade confirmation is in dollars, stock account statement is in naira.
Please any idea on how I could navigate this? Would they also need the source of funding for my stocks or they'll be satisfied with me just giving them my stock trade confirmations and wallet statement showing that I transferred the money from there to my bank account? |

I slightly differ on this. Uploading ECA and Language proficiency test result in a single PDF is ok and enough, The ECA already shows that you have a degree and a recognized one. So uploading transcript and certificate is not needed, I simply uploaded my ECA and Language proficiency in on PDF and that sufficed. chimzyblack: Simply combine all Educational Certificates together in one PDF.
Degree certificate Transcripts WES ECA IELTS TRF
You can also add a LOE in the PDF explaning that the PDf contains the above listed documents. So in one PDF you will have LOE, Degree certificate, Transcripts, WES,IELTS and TRF. this PDF will be uploaded in the Education placeholder. |

First, Congratulations on your ITA, it's a big deal in recent times. 1. You don't have a problem with you not claiming points on your sister, even if you declared her, you would only claim points for just one, which your Brother in-law has given you already, just put your sister in you family composition when filling, you do not need any document from her since you didn't claim any points. But you must include all your family (including any who have passed on to glory). 2.Since it is a family application, leave the POF as it is, husband money is family money, it doesn't matter in whose name the fund is, so long as you both are married. It can be in Primary applicant name, it can be in secondary applicant name, it is all family money. Collect your investment certificate and if you want, print out the investment account statement to support your POF further. Hope these clarify, All the best. Aameenaah: Help please! I have two question please;
1. My sister is a PR holder in Canada but I had no idea until we got an ITA ( we weren’t in good terms for a while) I already claimed points for my husband’s brother. Is it okay to include my sister in my PR application now that I know she has PR(it doesn’t change our points).
2. My husband has our POF in an investment thing with the bank, should we take out the money and put in my Own account OR put it in HIS own account OR leave it as an investment and get an investment certificate. How do we go about that?
I’ll appreciate your responses |

It is a redflag definitely, however if there are supported explanations, maybe some sales, some investments etc. I don't advise you submit just like that as I have had a visa rejection for this same reason before. However during my PR application I didn't put anything about my salary, and the POF I availed was very huge, there was not problem with it, I didn't even submit a statement, just a letter from the bank. Islabelle: Hi everyone, please is having a savings account of around 25-30m a red flag for someone with annual pay of around 2m?

Congratulations. You don't need so much really, pack your essentials, personal belongings, sort temporary accommodation if you can't get permanent one before landing. People talk about packing food, I disagree with that because there is everything in Canada, you just need to know the name it's called in English and where to get some in Asian stores and African stores. The immigration and welcome process should be easy. The airport people are usually very helpful. You can use Service Canada desk in the airport once you land and finish with Immigration to get your SIN immediately. We did that. You can even open your bank account at the airport also, if you go to the city, you may require to book appointment. Everything you need will be given to you, You can also use the ARRIVECAN APP. If you have specifics, you may ask. All the best Hmslf: Hello Everyone, My partner and I got confirmed for Canada Express Entry.
We're landing in Ontario on the 25th. 10 days time.
I have been looking for a community that can help with the all the information I need before landing. Spoken to a few friends there already but I'm not sure I have all the information.
I need like a to do list before and during landing at the airport so I don't land and start wishing I should have done certain things before landing or before leaving the airport.
Please share anything helpful. I don't want to miss out any hack or tips. |

You may have missed out the mail. Send webform immediately. Same thing happened to me, once yo have COPR details, PPR has happened already. Check all your mails search using IRCC and other keywords. I saw that I had missed out the PPR mail one month earlier, sometimes the subject is "Ready For Visa" Linasbeauty: Good morning, everyone PLEASE advise.
Our AOR was September 19, 2024 Medicals passed: December 5, 2024 Our biometrics have also been done We got a pre-arrival services letter on February 3, 2025. We finally got our FD and tracker updated with CoPr details on May 8, 2025. No PPR mail yet, and it's now almost four weeks since then. It's been more than 8 months now in total.
Any other person with the same experience? Please advise. Thank you. |

Yes you need a visa to connect via USA. You also need a valid Schengen Visa if transiting through more than one airport in Europe, so book a single transfer in Europe. Check any route you're passing very well using public sources and airline websites. eniola1010: Hi guys. Just evaluate your PHD, that's all you need now to score the max point for your education, whatever happens to your masters validity is no longer relevant, events have now overtaken it since you have a higher degree now. For your NOC, I will advise you just stick to the secondary school NOC (Secondary school teachers - 41220) This qualifies for the education draw which is your best bet right now, If possible remove the lecturing permanently from your history or put it as just volunteer work you did part time or part of some educational project. IRCC doesn't care about how savvy your CV is, they want secondary school teachers and don't need university lecturers, *it is not a job thing, it is immigration* so put your best foot forward. Your age puts you at disadvantage plus general draws have not been conducted in a long while, just category based draws, CEC and PNP. All the best. Princess080: Hello everyone, please I need your input with my concern stated below:
I evaluated my master's degree about three years ago and now am done with my PhD, should I also evaluate my PhD? If yes, will it also count with the date I did my first evaluation and expire same time after 5years?
Also, my first degree is in accounting, had to switch to education through PGDE program, had TRCN certificate and a teaching licence, master's and PhD in Education. Should I also evaluate all my certificates? Previously I was told is only the highest qualification.
Lastly, which NOC is best for someone who has being teaching accounting and marketing in government senior secondary schools for over 13years, and same time take up a lecturing job for undergraduate students going to 4yrs? Am 40yrs of age and was told the best route is PNP so as to enable me to acquire 600 points to boost up my points at the federal level, please how do I go about the PNP and which province should be the focus?
Thanks, as I await your response. |

Don't worry, take a copy of your passport and the evidence of submission to Irish embassy for your biometrics, explain to them, they will allow you do your biometrics. I had mine with UKVIS and just explained to them and I did my Canada Biometrics. Life no hard reach like that. bigmills: Hi People,
I have a little issue and I need your guidance or advice.
I submitted my passport at irish embassy yesterday for irish visa. The visa processing time will take about 6 - 8 weeks.
Just today IRCC sent me biometrics request letter.
Does anyone know how I can retrieve my passport from Irish embassy or is it possible to go to VFS with my biometrics request letter and scanned copy of my passport datapae, would that be accepted?
Kindly advice please |

My advise, the class of degree doesn't matter, Age, Masters and the new Teachers EE scheme gives your wife the higher chance between the two of you. Use the CRS tool to simulate, check for the eligible NOC under the new Education stream if it is a match for what your wife currently does. Prepare for your IELTS, evaluate your highest degrees only and enter the pool to wait. Fiestafetta: Good morning everyone, hope this message meet everyone of you well. Please I'm here to seek everyone's sincere opinion and advice most especially the professional ones in this group. Me and my wife are considering to migrate to Canada even though I have been researching on the easiest paths we can explore to make the process seamless in terms of time and financial affordability but I consider it necessary to come here to seek more opinion and advice to make us make informed decision. Please below is our profile: Husband: Educational background: BSc psychology (2.2) Age: 42 Work Experience: Business/trader no formal work experience before Wife: Educational background: BSc Sociology (2.1), MSW Health Social Work Age: 38, work Experience: Medical Social work (Volunteer) Both in Hospital and mental health services Presently working with state government as a teacher, guidance and counselor with 3 years experience. So my questions are as follows 1) Between educational qualification and work experience which is best eligible for PNPs or have higher chances? The reason is that, my wife is going to be main applicant and if that is the case, she doesn't want to get registered with Social work regulatory body before migration, (we believe the process is cumbersome and most times Nigeria social work standard not fully recognize in Canada, so additional training may be required). And most importantly, each provinces have their seperate regulations. Or is it possible we start process without Social work registration? Please we will need more insight and help to enable us navigate the process. 2) which other ways or path ways we can explore that will simplify our process? Thank you so much for your anticipated assistance.... |

Ernest93: Please i need answers to these. Ejoor, help my life Yes it a must to add them if you have one. If you select that you have spouse and the spouse is accompanying, you will have to load her profile and get scored for it, if you say you have but not accompanying, you will not get scored for her. If you add her after ITA as accompanying, your scores will be recalculated and if the new score falls below the CRS cut off, you will not be able to proceed again. Asides point, I think you risk misrepresentation if you claim you don't have a spouse and later come in future that you have one. The level of family disclosure required is much more than spouse, you will even be required to include your spouse family(living or not). This I think is vital for future sponsorship |

It is advisable you keep realistic expectations about immigration, I have spoken to people on both sides, people who feel they are favoured and people who feel they are worse off. Prepare, be optimistic. Everybody have their reasons for migrating, for me personally it is not economic at all, not even near economic, for others, it is economic. |

olabanji88: Anybody who can clarify should please I am in a high demand Noc but presently for a while I have been promoted to mid level manager( I skipped the lower level management due to recommandations from top management and also some company policies bs ) I can’t reject the role as policy doesn’t permit I either resign or take up the new role
But now the role takes me out of my high demand Noc in the sense that my job description on paper now Carrie’s more of administrative tasks and managerial the hands on is not stated even though physically my job is still almost the same but now I head the team
Can I ask my line manager to issue me a reference letter that shows am still acting in my old capacity but as a lead of the team and not present my generic référence letter issued by HR If this helps you, I didn't collect reference from my current work, I only uploaded my previous 2 experiences and collected references from them, so don't fuss, just collect reference of the previous role you had that matches the in-demand NOC provided it also gives you the needed numbers of years required. |

Staness: ah! This is not a good advice o. IRCC has been known to reject applications outrightly for not uploading enough supporting documents to show proof of work experience even though only reference letter was required and it was provided. Please add enough supporting documents if you can and don’t bank on the fact that they’ll send adr. Gift deed is very important if you know your salary cannot support your pof I differ on this, if your work reference is as demanded, why would they reject? Personally I uploaded only reference letter my employers, Bothe of them were even previous employer, I didn't include anything else, bank statement, ID. Note that they are both big organizations with presence in many jurisdiction worldwide. But it costs nothing to add as many document that supports you or a LOE as may apply. |

incofab: Good people, I have a serious challenge.
I'm claiming 7 years experience in my SINP application. I can get all the Offer Letter, Reference Letter and Payslips from the company but there's no PAYE or bank statement for the payments I received over the years (It was irregularly paid, sometimes in cash and most times paid from the owners private account).
My question is can I Personal Income Tax (PIT) Clearance Certificate serve as the "Government Issue Document" for proof of work experience knowing that PIT Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) does not bear the name of the company that you're working for in the Certificate.
Please help, I need answers urgently. I don't know about SINP or if they have any tax declaration requirement. But this I am sure of about EE, you don't need tax or salary details, or even salary account statement showing the pay, all you need is a job reference showing you worked and was paid for the work and that you worked the number of minimum hours required. I hope people who have done SINP would see this and offer precise advice. |

I heard a story about someone who applied online for a passport, and when he didn’t get a date for his capture, he went in and was told, “Online will let you know when it’s time for capture.” Lol. Apply online by yourself, make payment, book appointment, then discuss with him for the whatever other assistance you need, the new application is pretty straightforward. |

sisicanada: Hello @GraciousWords and all other gurus in the house. Please I have some questions regarding ECA Evaluation.
1) For my WES Evaluation, I have a Bachelor's and Masters Degree, Do I need to have an Evaluation for my Bachelor's Degree as well or will my Master's Degree Evaluation Only meet requirement?
2) If its just an Evaluation of my "MASTER'S Degree", Please will I be required to select a "YES" Or "No" when asked the question regarding if I have had my bachelor's Degree Evaluated. I am filling the EE Profile form and entering information about education and I am unsure what to fill form Bachelor's degree since I did not have it evaluated.
3) Please I am currently a Financial analyst with 3 years experience( my intended Occupation for EE), however prior to this i have worked for 4 years as a CX Support Rep, Do I need to Include this experience on my express entry profile
4) In addition, If I have to Include the CX Support Experience on my EE Profile, I do not have a way to prove this employment with my Previous employer if selected from the pool. Please what options can I use to prove this employment if requested for.
5) Lastly, Please can I have gaps in between my employment, because i was unemployed for sometime so I fear that this may be an issue.
Kindly advice house, I will appreciate your feedback to these questions. Thank you all 1. No you don't need an evaluation for the BSC, that may prolong your evaluation, just evaluate the Masters, it gives you the full point. 2. Select NO, as that is the case. 3. You don't need to fill that, the current role already gives you the maximum point as your Primary NOC, however when you get ITA, you will need to fill all jobs you have done in the last 10 years in your personal history, you don't need reference for any job you did not claim points for i the CRS 4. Better not to include it in the EE profile as it confers no advantage to you 5.You can have gaps as much as is there, just be truthful as possible. Gap will never be an issue. All the best |

KenIchiban: Good day house. I’m in need of some clarification. When exactly during the express entry process is the proof of funds required? I used to think they would request for it after ITA, but a friend just told me that it needs to be in my account for 3 months before ITA. I’m confused. I have a response that may be debatable to this one, but I am going to talk on my personal experience. I didn't submit bank statement, so there was no way IRCC could have checked when the funds in my account entered(It is a lot of funds, both NGN and USD and each of them was more enough for my POF for my family size). What I did was apply to my bank(one of the international banks operating in Nigeria) and they gave me a one page letter showing my balances as at day of application, they stated the month and year I opened the account and stated that I had run the account satisfactorily since then. They didn't write any 6 months average balance or anything of such. And I got PPR (2 times self, they sent and sent again... Lol). In my opinion the bank's reference letter trumps everything else and should suffice. POF is only submitted after ITA, but since there is a request for 6 months average balance, it may be proper to have had the funds for a while incase ADR is raised for full statement. |
