Rostikol: This is the main difference between Nigeria and some of these African countries like Niger and co.
Nigeria has the capacity to leverage these resources IN-HOUSE.
Process them and build anything we want.
I'm very glad Nigerian and African leaders have said that this LITHIUM of a thing will not be like previous raw materials that were just shipped out raw for a pittance.
That era is gone and gone for good.
The other day, Ugandan President Museveni said that some European investors had visited him in his office, and said they wanted to mine Ugandan lithium.
He asked them why.
They said because they wanted to use it to build nuclear power plants, to increase their power generation.
He asked them if they'd ever seen the Access to Electricity statistics for Uganda, vis-a-vis their country.
They said no.
He said ok, that they should go and read it, and get back to him, so that they could discuss how they could partner to use the lithium to increase power generation in UGANDA FIRST, before he can allow them to buy any extra they have left.
He said they left and never returned.
These people?
If you don't use your sense with them, they will finish you.
you are confusing uranium and lithium. The former is for nuclear energy and the later is for crucial component of rechargeable battery
WrriterNig: ⚡🇯🇵 Japan said it will start releasing more than 1 million tonnes of treated radioactive water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant starting Aug. 24, putting into motion a plan that has drawn strong criticism from 🇨🇳 China.
Why not turn the water to steam instead of releasing it into the ocean?
muhyideenabdul: I don't know why Lagos is more corrupt than other places in Nigeria. Someone recently said the immigration said there was shortage of passport for production that's why they delayed people which I can never believe. This passport is the same as that of other states, why will they say so
I only see it from angle of corrupt. When they get people frustrated people will start lobbying with money for quick production.
The government needs to intervene because they have killed mission of many applications over the past months.
The most disgusting thing about all this is that there's guys don't hide the fact that some people paid for fast track. I remember when I went for data capturing at Alausa, we were segregated. They didn't even hide the corruption.
muhyideenabdul: .... and let me share my experience which I believe to be useful for many here.
I did it through the DIY on July 6th which I captured on 10th. When I got to the immigration center in Kaduna, I chose any of the officers who I believed he's serious without knowing him. I told him to help me for capturing on time since they use to frustrate those that go for DIY at times. We bargained 5k, he went for verification of my NIN, within 5 minutes, I was called for capturing which I can say he dribbled the queue.
I was called by him yesterday that the passport is ready, within just 35 days and the passport is with me today.
My advice is make sure you involve any officer into the process to avoid delay.
5k lol. Lagos people kala. They wont even attend to you
markidoo: NDLEA and EFCC, treat this criminals with Kids gloves, Imagine smiling 😁 for a Mugshot!!! Even if you be suspect,Try am with the Nigerian Police 🚓, walahi Dem go don use slaps and blows design their faces, infact na during Mugshots sef dem go try do you makeup 💄 make public for no know say dem torture you..
Who said she can't smile. When she hears her sentence in court she can smile more. She doesn't not need to be beaten at all.
Don't tell me that elevator had no fail safe mechanism. WTF. This is tragic. Pray God gives the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
That hospital should be sued. Gone are the days when elevator falls freely when they fail. Modern elevators have fail safe mechanism that ensures that the elevator does not fall when the cables fail
donjazzet: Guys please come together and reject foreign powers in Africa!
Russia is not your friend simple!
Africa has been largely peaceful even with our fledgling democracies but a proxy war is being set up and that benefits no one.
Russia is arming rebel groups in Africa now. Things that we used to hate the west for. You cannot e angry at the west for arming groups illegally and look away at what Putin is now doing in Africa!!
Alamkir: Military coup shouldn't be condone no matter d circumstances.
I disagree with this though. If a government becomes corrupt and anti people, who should come to the aid of the citizens. In a stable country where the system works, coup cannot happen. Coup only happen in 3rd world country where corruption is rampant.
The issue with coup is that it does not really solve the problem the people face because coup plotters always make the same mistakes made by the government they replace.
From her comment, it could be concluded that she personally benefited from the man and I think it makes sense cus that's how an average selfish Nigeria thinks. What makes no sense to me is the fact that some individuals who have never benefited from this man still defend him like their life depend on it.
