you have really gotten a boat load of answers to you question but i am sure you cannot do them all. to start with you did not tell us how long you have worked as an administrator and in what capacity.

also i would have loved to know what industry you worked with.

in all, this is what i think you should do:

assuming you have let say 3-5 yrs experience prior to leaving your job

firstly you need to get yourself a computer with internet enabled.
why would you need these?

okay here is the fun:

set yourself up as a consultant. with your years of experience, it is likely that there may be others who will really cherish your ideas and advice and they will happily pay you for it.

secondly you need to have somebody create a site to brand you. let the site tell your readers what you do. you can give tips and advice on "HOW tO, " and get people calling you and asking for an appointment

i know an housewife who is doing this selling information on "how to get the best school for your daycare child" or something like that and she's making a very good living on that.
