Business / Re: What Type Of Business Can Ido With #100,000 As Part-time Job by FatBusyBee(f): 9:16am On Jun 25, 2013
if you already have a job and you are looking for a past time income to compliment what you already have i think you should consider an online business venture...i know you must have heard every negative point concerning this kind of venture, but the truth remains that internet business is gaining ground so much that you are bound to make a good ROI on your investment if you are diligent...and the positive side to it is that you can use just less than 4hrs everyday and still maintain good returns

Now it depend on what aspect of the internet you really want to go into, you can decide to sell your ideas [consultant/publisher] you can help others to sell their ideas [affiliate] whichever one you want to go into you are sure to make money out from them...

but the first step you need to take to enjoy the venture is to find someone with experience; to teach you, and show you how its done...else you might be groping in the dark and eventually get frustrated out...

Hi Tolu...im sorry im not an employer but just kind of curious that with your masters degree you havent gotten yourself a placement somewhere....it only shows that getting a job in this country is more like searching for a needle in a haystack...

why not sit down and analyse the situation you are in very well...

like, who really needed my kind of experience...

what can i contribute to an organisation, person or community in terms of ideas... etc

if you can come up with good answers to these questions, then you dont need to look further for job...you already have one...

here is what i will suggest...

get yourself a nice looking shirts and jacket...
write a good presentation for a company you have researched...
go to the company and book an appt/meet with the person in charge of what you have in mind...like the HR, PM, MD, etc
tell them how you can help them to achieve a better company with your skill...
if you are good in your field, you will definately have admirers and can possibly land yourself a consultancy job!

i've actually done this to some companies and with just a little push i was able to get them to sign a monthly cheque for my experience...

though you might get some rejection, do not let that discourage you...

believe me it works...create an aura of authority for yourself and they will look you that way...

if you need to talk more on strategies to getting clients you can add me to your YM filiksb@yahoo.com or call the no on my sig...

lets share your success!!!

@otolorin4real im not sure if we still have such good samaritans in the house but i might be mistaken...instead of actually begging for financial assistance, i believe there is something more useful you could engage yourself with...if you are good with photography then you have no reason to beg anybody for anything...you already have something to put food on the table.

if i have the financial muscle to help i really wouldnt commit myself to you...why? i'll rather teach you how to fish than give you a fish...and as it seem you already know how to fish...so just launch into the deep!

pls let us know how you are doing if eventually you decided to start going to uninvited events and shooting the best pix for people.

Business / Re: Wondering "Why Do Nigerians Like Free E-books" And Still Want To Make Money... by FatBusyBee(f): 10:25am On Jun 20, 2013
i rarely do blame those who seek freebies...and its not just Nigerians...its everywhere... undecided

there are many books out there that are junks...not even worth been given out for free...

so i suggest that for anybody that want to offer any book for sale such a person should also consider having one that should be given out for free...this is the norm within the internet marketing world...you first give out a free book to know if you are an authority in your field ie if you are good then they will trust you by buying every other books you bring to the market...

beside whoever is asking for a free book from you is your potential customer...have his/her names and email and you can subsequently sell to him/her later...

Hi, i rarely make contributions on nairaland but im always lurking around to amuse myself with people in the forum. And every time situations like this comes, i find it very impossible not to give what i think is appropriate...

This might be a long post so bear with me...

If you are hoping to start a part time business with #200k, getting your business model online is a sure way to get started quickly and more profitably...

Why?...

Its a known fact that if your business is not online now, you have no right to be doing business...[take it or leave it!]

this is what im suggesting....

Take one of the business model that has been suggested above [one you really have passion about] and create an online presence for it...

if you dont want to have a website which is very good but could cost you, you can go through this route which is almost FREE...

Join facebook [if you haven't already], and create a business page or what you guys called Fans page...[this will cost you #0.00], you need to make the cover design to reflect what you do and make it look beautiful and professional...

Also you need to create a group on facebook...and make sure you are growing it...

have somebody with experience to manage this pages for you [online manager]...try and grow your facebook "LIKES" to something of about 100k...[this is what most coys are doing presently]

also invite your friends to like your page...

So How Do You Make Money On Facebook?
there are 2 ways to this model and i will only explain just one...the other method is for experience internet marketers...

now you have 200k and you already have a estore [facebook biz page] =#zero
you have goods you have invested on...eg female wears, lipstick etc...[sell women goods...they spend money very well #30k]

use one of facebook application to create a website on facebook so people can contact you...

The Marketing Angle...

if you have more than 3k friends, over 50k fans, and 5k group members...this can be achieved within 60days... [again have an experience online manager to handle this while you sit back and monitor]you can be sure to start making sales everyday...

if you want instant sales and you dont want to wait for the said 60 days or thereabout and you dont know how to grow your friend, groups or likes...you need to pay for traffic to your page...instead of using PPC [PAY PER CLICK - paying when somebody clicks on your banner ad]i will suggest you go for PPI [PAY PER IMPRESSION - facebook only charge you after some nos of people have viewed your site] this is far better than PPC...

you can invest say $100.00 = #15,000 to test run this PPI model ...

this is what i believe you can do part time and still make good profit, beside its cheaper to set up and cost effective as well...and also this is the model that most business owners are subscibing to presently...

i have deliberately left some info because of time and the technicalities involve...

if you wish to lean more about how you can use the internet to boost your business and sale you can reach me on this no 08023866209 or YM me filiksb@yahoo.com

orlando82: what is Nigerian youth fate especially the graduate over this unemployment

orlando82: what is Nigerian youth fate especially the graduate over this unemployment

hi orlando, its nice to know that you are one of those who really care for what the future have to offer you as a nigerian...if you are asking this question sincerely, then im guessing you are probably afraid of what awaits you as a youth or a fresh graduate from school...its no news anymore that the job market is a battlefield and only the connected and the mighty can survive...even with these two the competition is very stiff...

so my response is: for graduates with hope of securing their dream job...IT MIGHT NEVER BE...except they prefer to work for the indians/lebaneese or as casual staffs with paltry pay.

so what is the option open for you?:

firstly, you need to look inward...im very certain that if you decide RIGHT NOW not to work for anybody but to provide job for others you will achieve this feat...remember ...what a man can conceive in his heart he can also achieve...

secondly the greatest weapon against unemployment is right there in your hand...what is that?...the internet!
im sure many still think those that really makes money on the internet are the 19 guys...WRONG...

The Internet is a great resource for wealth accumulation. How?...by using it the right way!.

so how do you use it the right way and earn a living from there? find somebody who can walk you through...somebody who is already making some money...somebody who is committed to your success...

for instance the Internet can accommodate all type of experience and non-experience folks alike...if you are science, art, or handwork, oriented you bet you will find people who really need your service or your idea...its just getting to know how its done...

if you decide to go it all alone, you can also achieve success, in fact there are thousands of books and resources you can download on line to get you started, but the problem with that is its going to be a trial and error experience...and this might take years for you to really get the hang of how its done...and besides some books could be very misleading...
but ny candid advise is to get a friend who knows how to make money on the internet...he/she will save you the time you dont have to experiment with your trial and error...

if you are still interested in securing your future on the internet...you can call this no 08023866209 or shoot me a mail here...kemismartty@gmail.com

cfola: Hello Busybee,

Thank you for your inquiry.

1. Like I mentioned earlier, the online Project Management training course allows NYSC corpers to access the training/study materials from anywhere they are located or posted to.

Even if you are in a remote village, so far you can access the Internet, it will be easy to view our e-learning portal ( with your Blackberry/Androids or any other smart Phone to download your courses, take your assignments and run your tests remotely. You receive live interactions/collaboration with your trainers and fellow trainees online.

2. It is the cheapest Project Management course available with online access. We have gone this low (N8,000) so as to make it affordable to as many youth corp members a possible. We have done this as part of our Social responsibility to developing our youths in Nigeria.

3. Your certificate will be shipped to you anywhere you are in Nigeria or anywhere you request us to deliver to. It does not indicate that you did online training, they are the same certificate we give to our classroom participants!

4. The project Management course remains the only management course that marries all professions together, so whatever course you studied, project management is vital to you because it is life and practicable science.

thank you for your prompt response...i will call my sis to brief her and we will get back to you...BTW, did you say #8k...ive come across project management courses with #45 - 60k price tag...why is yours that cheap? or is the price only for youth corpers...

Hello Guys,

over the years i have become one of those who frequently come to this forum the fun of catching up with jokes and see what others have to say about their lives and events...i never really make post anymore...but when it comes to what i do with passion i cannot but help write something...

@Olbhagun - i really do not blame you for falling prey to such guys...im sure they have a way of cajoling their clients to parting with their money...smooth talker they are! nevertheless its a lesson you have learn't the hard way...sorry about that.

@idlaw2k3,lanregidi, napolitano, - you guys have spoken well...and i really respect you guys...BUT...i think somebody can make a website for #3,000 if he/she has a good marketing strategy. please i will explain what i mean...[i am also a web designer - but im not the #3k type anymore ; grin

once upon a time, i came up with a strategy to fetch me some money [client weren't coming as i expected] so i decided to offer to create website for clients at #3k! it was more like a promo and i really had everything planned. what i did was to get some money from my friends [loan] of #55k [to cover for unlimited web hosting + unlimited license to a wp theme provider] and that was all i needed.

my target was to get up to 150 people for my service.[i actually came very close to that]

note - i told my prospective clients that they would not have access to cpanel but only ftp account [most of them never bothered/they dont even understand what it all meant] so with their #3k i only have to buy a domain name and the remaining change was mine for keep.

they also have to provide the content and the pix [if they want me to get those - additional fee]

although it was a hard job - just like any other job...but it was something i really enjoy doing...i really did not get up to 150 clients but i got enough to pay back my loan within 4 days...and the rest was enough to get me some software i have craved for so long...the good thing about it is that many of them [clients] are still with me presently...right now i also offer them other services that is helping their business to achieve good exposure online

please note that in the couse of writing this post i might have missed some point...if you feel you want to ask any question please go right ahead and ask...just post your questions here...

Webmasters / Re: What Is The Best Way To Increase A Site Traffic And Rank In Nigeria by FatBusyBee(f): 12:48am On Oct 29, 2012
@maitimi
there are lots of ways you can drive traffic to your site which i know you might be away of...

firstly i will advise you check on your on-page to see if you really optimize the site

these are some of the question i normally ask my clients if they want to boost their traffic and show up in organic ranking

What is [are] the keywords you are targeting?
what kwywords are your competitors ranking for?
how many backlinks do your competitors already have and where are they from [pr1 - ?]
where are you getting your traffic from and what kw are they using to find you?

@basic i really like the idea of using freebie to drive traffic, this is one method people dont like to use. it work like cham if you are planning getting people to join your list.

@maitimi "the moment which does similar stuff. Making it hard to rise in ranking" i think with such sites you shouldnt have much problem outranking them.they are very broad and therefore not targeted.

and if you want to run a blackhat on your site to drive hordes of traffic from facebook, or you want to get lots of people on facebook to like your page i have a book im giving out that might help. the strategy in the book will also work very well for nigerians who want to use facebook to drive traffic, but you will need to open a new account if you intend to use the method mentioned in the book. you cancheck my sig to download the report............>>>>

Webmasters / Re: Google Adsense I Need Help by FatBusyBee(f): 10:19am On Jul 20, 2012
@Jamie b - with 400 view per day that is cool money...except you are doing it wrongly! if you have 400 visitors to your site everyday and lets assume you have a product you are selling on this site you should be making at least 4 sales every day...

400 views per day on adsense should fetch at least 100 clicks except you are doing it wrongly! if you have engaging contents on your blog/website its possible you might not have good conversion...

NOTE: with adsense you DONT need top quality content...you need contents that are fairly good [if you know what i mean] let your visitors leave the page by clicking away on some ads.

i want to believe your poor conversion might be due to where you place your adsense ads and aslo the type of ads you use.

if you need to get another domain and do a redirect, you can do a 301 redirect - this will automatically redirect your visitors to your new site but keeps the google bot on the old page, this is good if you want your website to rank very well on search engines, but it seems you are using a blogger network and this might not be possible

@ribechi surely i will keep an eye on this thread...

Webmasters / Re: Bloggers Help: What Can Be The Problem. by FatBusyBee(f): 9:48pm On Jul 19, 2012
@dansmog yes forum posting is definetely one good way to generate traffic to your website

@Jamie 20 post over what period of time/days? why dont you try and make a post everyday for 20 days and see what happen to your site...

Google/search engines love fresh contents, some people out there believe that google loves blogs better than other platforms, true only if the blogs are updated regularly...what am i saying? google do not love blogs better than websites but loves updated content.. which blogs regularly gives. so spike your site with some freash and human readable articles and you will experience quality traffic...

if you need a book to read about how to drive traffic to your website just send me a mail to phyllyx@live.com and i will look into my hard drive

but there is something i want you to tell me - what do you intend to do with the traffic? - driving traffic is just a means to an end...

EDITED===this is part of a text i sent to Engineer1985 and i believe it might be helpful to others...

Please note: there are other profitable keywords you can target that can still generate targeted traffic and even more! ie you easily rank it without so much stress.

if you decide to rank your site and get it to first page of Google then this is what you need to know

"Where you’re getting your links, the quality of these links, the relevancy of these links, how many links you have and what keywords you’re using as the anchor text all affect your rankings.[i][/i]"

But there are other factors that affect your ranking, including but not limited to

1. on page factor
2. whether you have unique content
3. how frequent do you update your site
4. whether your domain include your primary keyword
5. shady practice such as keyword stuffing

im sorry i could keep on and on...but i hope you get the message. get long tail keyword and you will rank your site easily!

okay let start from what you have given me..."how do i get into Google First Page?"....but first i need to have the keyword[s] you are targeting...if you dont feel like showing it here maybe you can send it to my inbox phyllyx@live.com...

the keyword will allow me to determine how long it might take you to show up on the first page...if its very competitive or not. you did not specify how long it took you to submit this blog to SE directories.
Webmasters / Re: Bloggers Help: What Can Be The Problem. by FatBusyBee(f): 2:24am On Jul 18, 2012
i think most of us forget to update ourselves with the latest google update...the last update was about a month back or there about and its called the 'google panda'basically among its cardinal objective is to punish sites with dubious links and contents....unlike before where you stuff your content with keywords so you can get ranked and also get organic traffic google now focuses more on HUMAN READABLE contents and a more diversified anchor text...not spun or rewritable articles...

im not saying your site falls within this circle but you need to recheck on this...also i need to know...do you submit 20 post per day to get the 10 view or what? also if you are serious about having an online presence you need to have your own domain...
Webmasters / Re: How Do I Get Into Google First Page? by FatBusyBee(f): 1:57am On Jul 18, 2012
Hi getting your site to the first page of google requires some work as you might have known...but firstly you did not give the keyword[s] you are targeting to rank so we can see the competition.

secondly, i also know that the official indexing time might truly run into 4-6 weeks but you can also get your site indexed within 24hrs [i have done this severally to many of my MNS].

Thirdly, you need to be aware that google loves authority sites more than newly created sites so you need to check your competitions domain age and see how old they are.

what page are you currently on now...and you said you submitted your blogs to over 300 search engines...i need to know if the submission was done manually or with a software and for how long did this submission last [1/day...2/day...]

do you have google ads on your site? if you have when did you place the ads there?

and not forgetten your on page SEO [this is very important if you want to rank your site]

so many tips you did not provide so i can do a due dilligence work for your site...i will be watching this thread for responses and i MIGHT give out my personal script i use to index my site within 24hrs...
Literature / Re: Do You Blog? by FatBusyBee(f): 7:20am On Dec 03, 2011
i really find this thread very interesting but i just do not agree that most nigerian do not blog [excuse me if thats not what you meant]

firstly, blogging is all about giving out info to your readers. and the main reason why you are giving out info for free is to make money. PERIOD![if anybody disagree with the money making aspect pls let me know] you make money from adsense ie if you apply for one and you also make money either from banner ads, referals and from your own materials you intend selling afterward.

secondly, why you dont see many african/nigerian name as bloggers is because most uses what is called a pen name. for instance tuface, ruggedman, mi, these are all our music superstars name [stage name] but not real name so also are nigerians online. most live under their pen name to blog.

personally i have more than 50 blogs targeting different market [niche] and i wont want those that love my writeups on [for example] parenting to also know im the same writer of gambling [both are conflicting niches].

again i dont see why power has to be an issue with blogging. you blog anytime you feel like. although it is good to update your blog regularly. doing this once a week is still okay. of course there are many aspect of blogging that some do not know nor understand but above all Nigerians do blog and i know some that have good and enviable PR blogs.

hello iaabc, i get so fired up every time i read about someone trying to manage the home more than managing other peoples business. as a matter of fact i have actually replied to similar post on this forum and up until now i still receive 'thank you' messages from those thar benefited from my 1 naira advice.that was the reason i decided to offer a free website design to small business owners or to those who are just trying their feet on the internet.

now lets get down to business:

you have been given many suggestions on the best form of business you can do, but few only address your issue which is 'a job that can give you more time to spend with your kids'

i think i like these offers more than others:

1. baby sit or start a day care business
2. take up private tutoring
3. writing articles as a freelancer
4. be a blogger [if you dont know how, skype me or chat on messenger with me]
5. baking cakes

, but if i need to choose for you i will go for writing article/a blogger! this is a goldmine that many preach yet do not know how it work. if you have a good topic to write/blog about you will have many people coming to your site to read your views.

take for instance if you decides to base your blogging on

those who are still searching for life partners, something like "Simple Tips To Get Your Own Life Partner Today! or

those who just got married, "3 simple Tips To Make Your Husband Love You More Than His Football Stations" or something similar to that. [hope you got my drift]

these 2 niche can really makes the difference in your life and you will still have all the time to attend to your kids.beside you will still get Google paying you some few dollars for educating others.

although there are still a thousand and one work from home businesses you can do,ALL still require hard work ,time, and persistence before you can make a break and still have the time for your lovely kids.

but start with what you've been given here also you can check my sig below and join the first 20 people whom i will be sharing my materials on how to start a successful work from home program.

interesting question! and im sure you are going to start getting different answers to this. from expert and non expert alike. my first advice, do not take advice from everybody. if you want to take advice from anybody i suggest you check his/her forum post [ this is not a parameter for good advice] but previous post can really tell you who such person is

secondly, to get good advice from people you should have given brief details about yourself and what you do or can do. i believe with that you can get people telling you what to do base on your info.

hi fokonkwo33

you did not give details that explain what your thread is. how much do your 'successful' biz brings in weekly, or monthly for you? that would have been an interesting read and im sure others would have chipped in how much is okay for them

i checked your website only to get dissappointed with the info [sorry mate, i was actually looking for how much you are making] but i guess you are also just a starter. -just a guess-
i couldnt actually say this is the niche you are promoting. seems you are 'general'. relationship-->traffic generation?

truthfully info mkting is pure gold ONLY if you have the RIGHT info that people are hungry to have.

please keep us updated on the forum how to achieve success with info marketing
