Always keep this in mind while writing that copy.




I told a friend during our conversation that psychology and Copywriting go together. That psychology shouldn't be learnt as a university course but should also be learnt while mastering Copywriting.

Human beings are basically emotional beings. When they do certain things, it's not because they feel like doing it, but because they are emotionally attracted.

Take for instance, a lady who bought a weight loss plan, she didn't buy it because she wanted to,nor because she had money. She bought it because of the fear of being shapeless and being unattractive. (Here,her emotions were doing the work).

A guy who signed up for a coaching class did not pay that money because he had enough or because he wanted to, he paid because of the fear of being broke and neglected by all. He had the fear of not belonging to the happening guys in the future.

What am I trying to point out? While creating that copy,have it in mind to lure your audience with something they stand to lose if they don't take necessary action.

Whenever they notice they will lose something very important, there is an instant fear which results in them taking action.

Apply psychology tricks in your copy and watch how it skyrockets.

What Makes A Great Sales Copy?

There are several things that make a great copy but we will look into the most important ones.

1. The Headline: No matter how good a copy is, if the headline doesn't grab the attention of the reader, then it will barely or never convert.

The conversion of a copy is the ability of the headline to grab the attention of its reader.

The purpose of the headline is to grab attention and not to sell.

Therefore, to make your reader read to the end, use an attention grabbing headline.

2. THE HOOK: The hook is a sub headline. If the reader has been attracted but upon reading, find the hook not catchy, he/she will quickly swipe past the copy.

While your headline is catchy, make sure your hook is catchy too.

Use your headline and hook to arouse curiosity in the mind of your reader.

3. The ability to pinpoint the pain of your reader. If your copy doesn't show the pain of your reader, then the copy is an unsuccessful one.

Before writing a copy, understand your reader. What really kept them awake at night? What are they going through? What are they thinking of? What are their problems?

When you must have known all these, the next thing is to use storytelling to identify their problem (here, you're bringing in emotions). Let them know you really care about them and you're ready to solve their problem through your solution.

4. Add a CTA (call to action): Any copy that doesn't end with a direction to take a particular action is an unsuccessful one.

You should be able to indicate what you want the reader to do, either to send a message, or to click on the link below ( depending on what your copy is all about)

5. Always use urgency: A great copy should contain urgency, it makes the reader take fast action due to the fear of missing out on the offer.

An example of urgency; the 12% discount is available only to the first 10 persons to order immediately. (You can use this depending on what you're writing on).

These 5 guidelines, if well structured,will skyrocket your copy and get massive revenue.
