This would be my first Ramadan in Nigeria. I am in Kaduna these days. I am not sure or dont get any notification or confirmation for tomorrow Fasting !
its 8:45 PM now and no news till now for Moon Sighting !

can anyone tell me please, how can i make sure about begining of ramadan. Any official website or some TV channel where i could make myself sure.

Please also share authentic link for Sahri and Iftar for Kaduna timing.

I am new in nigeria and i am deputed in Abuja, i just went for a visit to sapele. so, dont have much information.
but let me answer your question.

1) I am not so, sure either there is some disturbance in signals or not because its slow all the time.

2) its just attached to PHCL terminal so, i believe its a village sort of place.

3) I found MTN and Airtel signal there. although calls doesnt get connect on first dial

currently we have 512 kbps bandwidth there. i believe we have to increase but how much and with whom, this is yet to be explore.
currently using skylinks Vsat.

we are also running 6 IP cameras there and i believe IP camera must be making impact on overall bandwidth.

humm i dont know about Airtel but people talk with MTN and they told we have to build a huge tower ourself then only they will be able to provide us their services,

I have my office in sapele near electricity providers Plant.
we are having Vsat connection there but service is really poor.

can anybody tell me, what option we have for internet in sapele.
something like broadband or wimax connection possible over here ?

Its good to see, people are optimistic in Nigeria I wish you may be true in your analysis and Nigeria may get better result with Privatization.
Let me tell you, why i am against Privatization.
1) Once a Ruling Govt. Privatize its Local Resource like Electricity, Telecommunication, Railways, Airlines etc it looses country's Integrity and Sovereignty
2) Private Group to cut down high budgets, Always do Downsizing. so, people experience layoffs, its True.
3) Govt. only interest is to be on safe end and through all problems on Private sector and earn their share.
Note : the revenue they generate is appear to be invest on local citizens and will be safe in Country's Treasure but mostly it gets distribute among Ministers and allies. (talking in general not specifically about Nigeria)
4) As i mentioned earlier, Local Resource is COUNTRY's Property its not Ruling Govt. property. they are protector of those assets they are not the Owner of those assests !!!

i read native guys comment, there are mixed feedbacks.
Many of them taking it as +ve while few of them taking as -ve.

doing privatization doesnt always solve problem at times it makes thing worse.
One thing is for sure, when any govt. Privatize its local resource, it loose country's integrity,

Govt. Is saving itself and doesnt taking responsibility to fix current issues by privatising, they are taking a step backward and making citizens life more difficult.
Govt. Will earn great profit and leave citizen pay high bills !!!

Remember these resource are Country's property not the government's
govt. Come and go, they are protectors or to serve the nation not to come and Sell Local Resources !!!

there was a problem in paying visa fee online from Master/Visa cards activate in Pakistan.
Although when we try from Nigeria it even didnt work but just now i received email that Payment has been done by some Pakistani in Nigeria.

problem regarding payment is resolved now.

sorry for the typing mistake, yes i meant Abuja capital city of Nigeria.
The reason i asked from pakistani in nigeria because they may face same problem as i am doing,

nigeria immegration web portal must require to pay visa fee online. I am doing for STR visa.
all cards (visa/master) from pakistan are blocked. So, i cant pay visa fee from pakistan.
When i ask for alternative from Embassy, they told speak to your employer, they can submit fee in nigeria but HOW TO DO THIS !! I have no clue nither my employer.

Can any Nigerian help me out here, i just need procedure (alternate work around) if web site isnt functional or not allowing then what else we can do and more importantly how ?? What are the Steps to follow,
