Well LAUTECH can be funny. I did FAA 101 and 102 as a Physiology Undergraduate alongside other students faculty notwithstanding.
Some from my faculty also took in in 200L. And as funny as it can be I took a Regional Planning course in my 400L. My guess is over the years our academicians realized fine arts is more relevant as a science than as an art abi how else would we have learnt how to draw complex cross sectional diagrams of the human anatomy and histological representations.

Though ..I don't think you need the knowledge of fine art to draw cross sectional diagrams of the human anatomy ..you have a point still

Psychology, for instance, can conveniently fall under both the social sciences and the art. I have seen psychology fall under any of social sciences and the art in universities across the world.

Fine art should be a core art faculty course.

I have checked the the Faculty of Environmental Science of Unizik, and it has Fine Art listed there.

It is quite shocking, though. Because I don't see how fine art fits into that faculty. I have not even seen any fine art form that remotely matches the objectives of environmental science.

It is like Geography in Ahmadu Bello University which falls under Arts and Humanities, while even in my secondary school, geography was a science, and at least a commercial class subject.

A cousin of mine has a BA in Geography, and a friend has a BSc in the same Geography and both of them went to federal schools here in Nigeria.

That Geography sef is another one ...in OAU it's under social science but in some schools it's under Art ..I think ASUU or something should come to a national consensus where departments are placed under certain faculties in all tertiary institutions

In UNIBEN, fine art was under Faculty of Art, until 2018. They are now under Faculty of Environmental Science.

Faculty of environmental science in UNIBEN was created like 4 years ago.

I don't know about your school but the school I attended it was under Sciences I think Environmental Sciences in particular cos people studying all Environmental Sciences courses as well as medical Sciences had to take some FAA courses.
