WhatsApp that in my encrypted chat with my friend I sent him pictures of my bad car brakes, and immediately I entered Facebook, Instagram and my broswer, I saw loads of adverts to buy car brakes exactly for my car brand.

Nothing is safe. They'll only tell you their own is safe so that they keep getting ur info and they demonise other messaging platforms coz they don't want them to get what they are secretly getting too.
