ShaqFu: so the strict law and system we have in place, is it being adhere to? The person responsible for upholding the law is NOT doing his/her job. There is no accountability. And I don't think we have a system in place and if we do, it is obviously NOT working. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by FBS: 1:57am On Jan 07, 2023 |
ShaqFu: well I'm not. Please don't generalize.
of course. This is how we support corruption, Saying exactly what you just said. Do we really need a system in place to stop us from being corrupt
if that strict law is put in place, I'm telling you Nigerians will react negatively to it, and say the government is hunting them, while the government is enjoying the same thing it is hunting them for.
Nigerians like to make silly excuse to justify their corrupt habit. Yes we do. It's how it works in every country. It's how they are able to maintain a working system. Without the strict laws in place and adhered to nothing works. Nothing. |

The thing is, I really don't do politics but interested in seeing the country move forward and be successful. The hardship is untold and has been since inception. |

airmark: Cucurella needs to start playing dirty sometimes.
When Mahrez peaked, I expected a little shirt pull or something when the ball was still with KDB, to reduce his pace.
As a defender you need to be a thug in some moments. So you see am too abi? Cucu is clean player but as a defender you gast to have a decent level of "thuggery" plus all he had to do was lean into that space Mahrez was trying to get into any which way without causing a penalty. PS: I still don't get why you don't like Rudibaba. You know he is a thug right? |

Spy360: I think we must begin to hold our elected officers accountable for their words. Whoever wins, Nigerians must start putting pressure on him to fulfil their so called campaign promises. This right here is the key. The politicians for japa countries ain't saints (human beings dey naturally inclined to be corrupt) but they know that the moment they mess up, they get kicked out. There is a very high level of accountability. That is the difference. Instead we celebrate mediocrity, shouting ranka-dede all over the place. Poverty na bastard. |

Itsrm: I hate to say this but the injury to foolishic is a welcome development. These are the players who should be getting injured. Useless players who add no value to the team
Chukwuemeka slotted in seamlessly and didn't look out of place. I hope to see more of that from him. This is what we are "celebrating" yet some are making to be something else. Boy came in and almost scored. At least had the ball/s to shoot on goal unlike the agbayas in the team. |

Spy360: 1. On security he said he will be incharge as he cannot disclose he security plans. He will also reform the police - responsible and responsive policing. This includes creating state and local government police.
2. On economy, he said he will move the country from a consumption economy to production using our vast resources like land, water etc. He means agriculture basically. He will also create a single exchange for currency.
3. On governance, he said he will cut spending.
4. On power, he will declare a state of emergency. Any body who can produce power will be given access to the industry until things improve.
5. On corruption, he simply said 'as I nor chop who else go chop?'
Etc etc Thanks man. I appreciate this. 1. Security - Reforming the police is one humongous task and if he can pull it off... 2. Economy - what exactly are we going to produce? Surely we can't compete in the technology area. Agriculture you say? That would be interesting. A lot of investment is obviously needed in that area. Where do we source the investment from? 3. On governance - Cutting spending? Is he going to close some parastatals or reduce salary for government workers, officials including the presidency? 4. On power - For me oh, this is the number 1 problem after security. Fix this and we will all be smiling to the bank. haha. 5. Corruption - He is going to cut spending and then stop corruption? Again, if he can pull this off.... |

Ibime: If you are kuku, you will rest knowing that Kepa will fall on that ball
Kepa the clown is 100% responsible for that goal This is where I will disagree with you. Yes he could have done better but not 100% responsible. Azpi should have stopped the ball from coming in Kepa - yeah don't know what he was thinking (I gave several options). That was terrible from him. Kuku - Mahrez is a fresher player, he should have anticipated it. |

Abeg ibime has explained in little details what happened in that scenario and why Azpilicueta can't be faulted which anyone who isn't for agenda will easily agree with. Go back to his post and watch the build up to the goal and tell me if Azpilicueta is at fault. Thanks o jare and lets even assume that Azpi was partly at fault (given the ball came in from his direction), Kepa could have done better there. Cucu also should have known that Mahrez was breathing down his neck. Neither did well. |

User09: Cant speak on this as I do not have all the information. Besides, I highly doubt that story, Probably missing some key elements.
My point was looking at the debt service to revenue wasnt putting it in context .
Although the argument could have been that the servicing cost is becoming increasing high and additional debt is still being taken to service the deficit. Worse off is that it is being used on recurrent items and unproductive things like managing subsidy.
That I think is the main issue Maybe someone can educate us on the Nigerian Government fiscal policy? |

I've been asking this question and yet to see an appropriate answer other than some nonsense person telling me I'm pro this, pro that. I am not pro anything. I will make up my own mind.
How exactly is Peter Obi proposing to fix this country? I've watched his videos and besides quoting figures and that he is a younger candidate, what else does he have to offer?
Please only concrete answers and not "se you are this, se you are that"?
Edited: Please add Atiku to the list - What is he offering? |

They’ve 24hrs electricity without uninterrupted, very orderly unlike Nigeria, very secured. in Ghana , i saw a young Japanese Man withdrawing 20 million Naira (cedis equivalent) without police escorts, going home with a public bus , can you try that in Nigeria.
