popizaino: Arshavin did, paulvishenko did,i have no doubt Zakharyan will hit the ground running if he comes, provided he is given the confidence of playing as he wish with the ball.
Arshavin was uber talented (relatively), was already banging in goals for a top club in Russia and was mentally there. Chelsea is always different and you know it.
Say Pep overthinks this game and decides to implement some funky setup in his usual style? Say Halaand and KDB are on for whatever reason on different wavelengths. Say Potter finally got his hands on the tip of a magic wand and cooks something overnight? Say our boys are ready for a fight - defensively and attacking wise. Let's just say football is crazy.
All of una wey dey shout data this, data that... Yes data is of high importance, has it place but not a substitute for actually watching these players play (eye test). Our scouts shouldn't get lazy relying ONLY on data then paying ridiculous fees.
Ballzproblem2: Chelsea be like "Santos, fofana, Hutchinson, you are not ready",is not like your first team is any Better,at least try them first before you come to conclusion,my club sef
Same Captain is still here & the midfield hasn’t changed once. If someone thinks coaching is our problem, I feel sorry for the person.
80% of Chelsea players are terrible and most of them cannot even finish a full season without getting injured
Our midfield is disaster
“Sarri Out” - He wasn't exactly brilliant (I mean someone who gave us Jogginhoe ) but won the Europa League “Lampard Out” - Did an OK job stabilising the team given the ban and all that but he thought he had arrived by becoming a cross and nod merchant. He kept asking for new toys but his cluelessness was glaring to everyone besides his fan boys. “Tuchel Out” - Won the UCL + 2 other trophies with the same set of players we were told are not good enough. His undoing was his inflexibility, forcing players to play out of position and some would say he wasted money on the wrong players. I think fingers should be pointed at Mr Boeli. “Potter Out” - Not sure anyone likes this version of Potterball. No ideas, no strategy, does not inspire confidence and took the meaning of playing out of position to a whole new level.
Midfield - There are new faces within the squad but not used or used sparingly. Whose fault is that?
So yeah coaching will always be part of the problem but the hope is that the likes of Enzo, Datro, Badiashile, Nkunku will cook once/when/if they come in.
nateevs: Big TT fan here. There was data stuff by Boehly and then there was just poor transfer nous and squad management from TT. We have to admit. For once, TT had what was a blank cheque, to build a proper squad. He could have pointed to anything he wanted, and he would have got it. Those guys were ready to spend. But he squandered it.
If TT had managed the midfield needs very well, then one could argue that there probably will be no need for Enzo now. Fine player but like you opined, worth less than £10m only 6 months ago. To say we have seriously overpaid, is a grand understatement.
And yes, the same energy will be applied to Potter when he's given £400m worth of players.
Why blame Tuchel here? Could it be those purchases were made based on the data presented by Boeli?
popizaino: I think i am more concerned about Rolling stones not including Celine Dion in the list of 200 greatest musicians of all time than discussing anything relate to Chelsea at the moment. Our last game was completely an eyesore.
User09: What is this Boehly blame I see going round?, I hope you all maintain the same energy by blaming Potter for all the money spent as u did for Tuchel.
As far as I'm concerned Potter is also responsible for this transfer especially for someone who cost 10 million just 7months back and hasnt played that much in Europe
Blaming TT for everything that went wrong despite it being clear Boehly was chasing his own agenda with the data sports crap.
Clearlake Model, my ass!!
You just brought up the thing wey dey annoy me pass with Boeli. Who him data ep? Playing Puli and Sterling as LWB/RWB? Just SMH.
Ballzproblem2: ain't watching man city match unless I see Hutchinson in that starting line up,I mean it's clear Potter is trying to save his job but this senior players are dropping stinkers left and right ,bench them play young boys who are hungry.
Santos is a definition of modern 8, fofana has the strength and youthfulness,Lewis hall can complete take ons and deliver forward passes, ugh!
Ibime: I no get your time jor. I dey go Liverpool now. I suggested one way of introducing creativity by changing formation, while you are blaming the wrong players within his current formation for his statement, and I told you within his current formation, he is talking about his rightside players.
Lol. At least it's not Ipswich. All good. Attached just FYI
mushroomFarm: Our tuition is averagely 140k rubles a year You earn up to 3k per day, teaching. Our accommodation at international students dormitory costs 1k rubles a day. . . And certainly you will come here with your own funds. Well this only applies to cheap Federal universities.
Wow. 3k per day? Good work brother. How many hours of teaching is that?
Ibime: Your brain thinks any talk of creativity is talking about central midfield. Conte brain thinks of creativity from wingbacks and wingers. Take that to the bank. He is responsible for what he said, not how you interpreted it, besides Hojberg has 9 GA this season, so you are barking up the wrong tree.
Conte expects his midfield two and back 3 to be solid, and his wingbacks and wingers to be explosive. Conte will drop a Fabregas from midfield just to ensure this, you are yarning megedefegede out of your own wonky interpretation of what he said. Don't you know Conte at Chelsea, at least you should know Conte from InterMilan that will drop Eriksen for two solid midfielders and rely on Hakimi for creativity. Conte has no business with what you are assuming, you are making uninformed assumptions about his statement
Classic. Always contradicting yourself. You know very well that Conte plays 3 at the back yet you just suggested for Conte to remove 1 defender to allow for creativity. How is that going to work oga Mr "Expert I'm in Conte's head"?
And you are wrong, creativity can be anyway on the pitch but more traditionally in the middle - the likes of KBD, Modric are testaments to this but keep yarning opaks. I get your time today.
FYI - Besides James, Ziyech and Kova could be used as creative outlets too but they are not used properly or lack the consistency.
If you are into foreign movies or understand Russian, you should check out Land of Legends. It's an epic historical fantasy. Straight up blockbuster of a movie with fantastic fighting scenes.
