The other positive thing though is that them young players are out on loan in the EPL and hopefully, they will get enough playing time on the pitch. IMO this is the best decision so far for them.

Just how will the team play upfront? a classic 4-4-2? DD and Nando upfront?

Besides, I can't remember us playing long balls anymore (maybe occasionally, all teams do that). Now we try to work the ball through the wings and sometimes center. So, how is this going to work knowing fully that the midfield is super weak and can't remember Torres running back to win the ball unlike DD or Nic.

Can someone please clear this up for me?

@nateevs, who do you think made/requested for these players? Lotti himself? 

Personally I have mixed feeling about the price tag for Nino though this can be erased if he proves himself on the pitch and IMO the Luiz signing may be the real deal. He is young and dynamic and I don't think his wages will be that high.

I cannot believe Chelsea is bidding mega-bucks for Torres who hasn't done anything for 18 months. If you ask Roy Hodgson why he underperformed at Liverpool, he will give you only one answer - Torres!

Simply put, he is not the same since his injury. And besides he is a central striker. So what do they wanna do with DD - play him on the wing? Instead of buying a young dude like Lukaku that can be eased into DD's position gradually.

As for FBS statement that Lotti knows best, the truth is that Lotti is not consulted in the slightest about any transfer. Lotti does not want Torres.

I don't understand why the Club is bidding for Torres. I simply do not want to believe it. What for? A quick fix solution?
Regarding my statement that Lotti knows best. . .well he has no other option 'cos according to him, he is very much aware of what the club is doing as per transfers. It's official.
And if as you claim that he does not, why is he the manager? a lame duck manager? A manager with no balls? Well, he won't get any respect from the Club if he continues this way.

What I just don't get is when we need a goal, Carllotti throws on JMcE. If he is good enough to get on when we need a goal, why can't he start more games.
I am not in favour of saddling young boys with the responsibility of ensuring the club success but who else do we have?

What else can I say, Lotti knows best.
My thinking though is that the club decided not to look for MFs this transfer window cos we still have YZ and YB (both still injured with no return date) and of course Josh. Either way we just have to make do of what we currently have.

Lotti also claims that the Club is trying to improve the squad. We just have to wait and see.

I completely agree with you. Any suggestions as to who is capable of filling this position since Josh ain't getting the nod.

We had the chances to win this match in the first half but didn't. Somehow we managed to equalise with virtually the first and only shot on goal in the second half. Kalou you try no be small.  

Everton 1- 1 Chelsea. Not the ideal result but heck, not a bad one either.
