Ehn, but when Barcelona beat Real 5-0 in November . . . were the Real players also strolling on the pitch?
Or could it be that Real is closer to the others than they are to Barca? Maybe they are only marginally better than the rest, but nowhere as good as the best?
You have every right to feel like you are the best - You top your league but my thinking was that you would see that I wasn't even talking about the score-line but the attitude of the players on the pitch. Not the quality of the two teams involved per say.

Chelsea beat Wigan 6 - 0 in August. Would you say the opposition team were strolling on the pitch? NO! They gave their best until the very last. This is what I'm talking about.
In your own case, once Barca scores, you could well say, the tie is over. Sevilla boys were just moping at each other.

Nah, I don't agree. After all, RM led the league until El Classico. At the beginning of the season, Barcelona struggled with form, while Real was in top form, hence C.Ronaldo's goals tally. Look at the first five games Barcelona played at home. A loss to Hercules, a draw with Mallorca, A marginal win to Gijon by an almost offside goal. The team even struggled to beat Valencia 2-1, a victory which was due more to Valencia's lapses than Barcelona's brilliant play.

Now it's the turn of Real to be jaded. The other teams know it, they smell blood, and go in for the kill. Usually it all comes to naught, but occasionally a result can be gotten at their expense. Add that to the obvious dislike Ronaldo has evoked in referees and players alike, and the desire to humiliate Mourinho. It's like the league wants Barcelona to win.
This time ore, I agree not. Yes Real led until El Classico and you would realise it was mainly because Hercules thunked you. These things happen. Like Wolves beating Chelsea.  cheesy
You will also admit that others teams simply have to make mistakes for you to win sometimes (e.g against Valencia). You don't always have to play brilliantly. That comes with form and as the season goes on. Take MU for instance.

But it is that desire I was talking about  - not just to humilate Ronaldo and JM because they now represent RM  but because - really I don't know. It's not because Barca play gun-ho football. Watch the Sevilla match again and tell me what  you think. These boys gave up easily. They were strolling on the pitch.

Regarding CR, the boy still banging in goals like everyday irrespective of RM's form. He is not my favorite player ( So is Messi) but boy, is he good? oh yes he is.

It's too early to talk about winning any title. The season may yet prove tricky. Enuf possible points to drop.
Though it is looking in Barca's favour. The CDR final is not till May, so the hopes of a Madrid victory gingering their title hopes are dim. By the time that final is played, the league will be all but dusted, and so will CL. I also don't see a sudden drop in form by Barca. Save a loss of key players to injury, I doubt that will happen.

One player I think we can't afford to lose is San Andres. Even more than Xavi, the guy has been in destroyer form this season. He's the only reason why I do not worry about the Arsenal. That guy is the best attacking midfielder in world footie today. I think he can make the difference in any side.
He has superb close control, takes on even the biggest defenders, can easily draw a foul, and can run from box to box.
Well you've just said the League title is going to Barca and bar any miraculous interventions you guys are home, safe and dry.

The only objection though is about CL. That is a totally different ball game.

By the way, I think you guys will or shall I say "may" retain your title?  cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: The Galacticos (Real Madrid Fans Only) by FBS: 9:55am On Feb 02, 2011
@AjanleKoKo, while I'm tempted to agree to most of what you said (and brilliant to some extent I have to admit) my observation is quite different. As an example, I was watching (can't remember exactly now but I think it was Sevilla or so) play Barca some time ago and the impression I had was that the opposition team were just walking around on the pitch. They gave up as early as when, the 4th minute?
Now watching the same side play against RM recently and they were going GUN-BLAZING!

No, it was not the formation or style of play, it was more of. . . "na lie o, we go peme for this pitch today".

I don't see La Liga teams play against Barca like that.

dayokanu:
How is this different from EPL year in year out. Only Man Utd and Chelsea can win the EPL.

We can have unusual events like Arsenal/Villareal, Liverpool/Valencia, Man City/Sociedad playing beyond their abilities and placing second in the league but the usual winners are always Man Utd and Chelsea.

2004 was the last time neither of Chelsea/Man Utd won which coincided with the last time a Non Barca/Real won the league in Spain
hehehe. . .Sociedad? lol. . .they can never repeat their 1980 stunts. NEVER!!!
However, the difference between the EPL and La Liga (not saying which is the best) is at least the EPL has er, whadayacall it? - yes a TOP FOUR and realistically, any of them could win it.
Compare that to the La Liga. Even before the season starts, it always either Barca or RM.
There is no difference (by your logic) between La Liga and Scottish Premier League. Its either Rangers or Celtic
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: The Galacticos (Real Madrid Fans Only) by FBS: 8:49am On Feb 02, 2011
With the way the La Liga is presently i.e. basically ONLY two teams are competing for the league title. So, since RM is stuttering, I just don't see Barca giving up the lead until the end of the season. It is safe to say they will retain their title bar any miraculous event.  cheesy

JM and RM should concentrate on other available titles and blending the team wella and I know he can.

What I do not understand though is why other teams just open up and play like they don't care when playing against Barca? But act like wounded lions when playing against RM?

''I know very well that he is not a goalkeeper, he is not a defender, he is not a midfielder - he is a striker and he will play as a striker. He doesn't have a problem to play with Drogba or with another striker. Maybe we will have to play with two strikers together, but that's not a problem. It doesn't change a lot. Maybe with a diamond in midfield, our shape doesn't change too much.'' - Manager Carlo Ancelotti
