I've just had the chance to revisit Lakers vs Warriors game 1 with 2 of the greatest names in the NBA in the modern era impressing with their skills and hunger for the game. I've got nothing but absolute respect for both of them.

That said, I thought AD really came alive this time and despite the "own goal", he was on fire but some consistency from him would be great.

It also seems to me that Lakers are really helping each other out whereas Curry is left to do it by himself? Kevon Looney is definitely trying but I would like to see more from Klay Thompson.

Game 2 should be interesting.

Re last weekend: I guess the aim was just to try something different whereby cars are not just running around the tracks for 2 days.

i think it will take about 2 yrs before teams get their shiit together....by then, Leclerc would probably be tired of Ferrari lacking to give him a world championship car and move to Mercs (i hear he has been talking to them already) while Ham might want to get that "legend status" with a 8th title, and move to Ferrari to get it, since Mercs are dropping the ball lately (that would be something)

as for that new sprint format. it was good for extra points but thats about it... was a waste of a weekend IMHO (especially since cars were in parc fermé since practice 1).

What I don't understand is this, Mercedes had the whole time in the world to come up with a better car but bottled it on all fronts. Yeah I get the cap on spending but that car is near useless. They are battling Aston Martin for 4th on the same engine.

RedBull hit gold when they switched to Honda though Alpha Tauri are not exactly lighting up the tracks.

You guys do this for two reasons.
1. To underestimate a Vet(Haters)
2. To have an excuse if the Vet underperformes(Fan boys)
This is what happened last season. Curry Haters ranked him below Tatum, jokic, Doncic and even Morant. He outperformed every one of them and they won the Title.
Those Vets cannot be underdogs against these new schoolers no matter how you put it. Curry and Lebron have over 20 years of playoff experience and 8 rings between them. Save for Tatum, non of these dudes have been to Finals. Some of them are yet to play in a conference finals sef.
Tatum went to the finals with a better team and fell to the tragedy if inexperience.
As far as playoffs are concerned, championship experience is more superior than regular season performance.

As with sports, preferences and all the shalaye punditry wey we do dey here, everything is subjective minus the stats but stats does not always tell the whole story.

No one, can claim to be 100% objective. Anyone claiming so is a liar and we are all guilty of that bar none.

Lakers could have lost game 4 but they pulled it off so kudos to them but remember series is not over yet. I asked the question even before playoff started - Athleticism vs Experience.
