D purpose of this jamb unified tertiary exam was to save cost & give equal,timely opportunity for students to pick a favourable institution among d various schs according to d choice of his most preferred,more preferred & preferred. NOW if a particular sch fails to conclude admision process on time,thens it creates distortions & dislocations in d chain of events.my advice jamiu is that first conclude d admission screening wit 0AU B4 rejecting FUTA. IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL ITS OVER.Like my case my name has been on d 0AU merit list since sept but because they did not send list to jamb on TIME d busy body POLY first sent my name to jamb.infact d college of education also giv me admision though i did d screening in 0ctober & now admision proceses are almost concluded.so any sch that does not conclude admission processes on time with her counterparts is really mind disturbing.but if you have seen your name wit 0AU,you have d correct 0 levels,correct jamb subject combination YOU ARE TRU.But my advice is conclude 0AU screening b4 you reject FUTA.infact if u have money,u can do registration wit Futa if Futa is about to close their registration.BUT only if u have d means because u must be ready to register wit 0AU when they start registration. GREAT PATIENCE/GREAT HOUSE/GREAT ASPIRANT/GREAT IFE. UNA GET MOUTH.

Happy new yr to the House.pls it is good to always cross-check our info before they are posted to avoid misleading people especially those anxiously waiting 4 the other lists.your experience culd be one in thousands provided you have d required 0 levels & you have d right subject combination for that particular course you were given which requires serious human effort or God grace !not automatic because there are thousands who originally applied for that course. For instance u originally applied 4 accountancy due to wrong combination u now intend to change ur course to like English lang or theatre Arts & u did not have 0 level in literature & is not in ur jamb combination can u now be given Eng lang,? remember part of d exam is to study d brochure wit emphasis on proposed sch utme subjects.BUT for schs like UI some of those issues are sorted b4 names are sent to jamb.the essence of d school screening is to cross d Ts & dot the i-s so its not automatic that admission culd not be forfeited if u 're found wanting in those areas.

It is the school that will send your name to jamb before its posted on their site.A candidate can 0NLY forfeit his/her admission in the course of registration if he has problem with d 0' level result or jamb subject combination.eg chosing commerce instead of account for Accountancy.such a student can lose his admission eventhough d name is in jambsite or 0AU Portal.concerning d new session önly God knows because they seems in my view to be running a different & unique academic calender so we need to take more patience pills.if an aspirant is expecting his name by march or April & jamb wil b conducting another exam by April next year, u can imagine how disturbed such aspirant wil b going through in terms of concentration because only d people on merit list are safe somehow provided there is no tragedy of wrong subject combination.

those who have been given admission by other Universities but still prefers OAU and met their cutt-off must have to wait to see their status when their own E-portal is updated most likely DECEMBER to check their status,becuase JAMB will only give one admission at a time depending on the University who send your name first.this waiting game really is not good especially for those expecting their names on merit or the supplementary list.

i am not a medical student but i am very happy for the guy for such a painstaking effort by junior star in fact i call him senior star but if you think its outdated then post the one for 2011/2012 for everybody to see.but the truth is that even non-medical student benefited from that posting.

This double admission of thing is a big mischief either by the school or jamb because the process is quite complicated because i am in a similar situation where my name is already on OAU merit list and my second choice more preferred institution The polytechnic ile-ife also give me admission.AND JAMB instead of placing my name on my most preferred institution OAU THEY decides to PLACE my name on a polytechnic i only fill for record purpose as required by their OWN guidelines that you fill a place for a polytechnic.that is the TRAGEDY of JAMB PA-LAVA.However the school you don't want must first give you letter of admission rejected which will be taken to the preferred school.the admission officer of your preferred admitted school will now contact jamb for the new changes.then the status will change to the new school of choice.i don't really know the duration for the status to reflect the new status.i am quoting what jamb officials told me in Osogbo and Ibadan.BUT your own case you have to first make sure you are admitted by OAU before you can reject one for another.Any institution where merit is sacrificed on the altar of mediocrity then always expect complains and complains.you can also reach me on 08071491938 so that we can rub minds together on this issue.what is the relevance of most preferred,more preferred and preferred? their own very laws they refuse to obey.GOD HELP US

faculties of Admin,Arts and Education have been pasted that i saw with my eyes yesterday saturday.those for Arts is pasted on the first floor close to the History dept office,for Education is pasted in the last floor close to room 327 for Admin just beside the main faculty office.Actually i copied the list for FACULTY OF ARTS dept of HISTORY where i was given admission,PHILOSOPHY,ENGLISH LANGUAGE,AND EDUCATION ECONS ONLY so in case you are in any of those 4 dept i copied you can reach me on 0807 149 1938.CONGRATULATIONS for all those who by HIS DIVINE GRACE managed to cross the hurdle and those expecting subsequent list:GOD will see you through.

those names on the merit list pasted in the school, have not been uploaded to jamb site because i randomly checked about 4 names using their reg numbers but what you see is NOT yet admitted.even this afternoon i have checked.

in OAU patience is one of courses' you add to your prospective courses in the school.i mean as a way of life because compared to neighbouring schools they will not release admission list on time,whether is deliberate or otherwise i don't really know.But last year the merit list was made available first on jamb site around few days after mid-September.let us pray they improve on that record dis year.HAPPY new month to all prospective friends and thanks for your wonderful contributions especially Dubemkelly for timely response to questions and the funny story of the children of James and Okon.
