The present anti corruption campaign of the new government will not be complete if some elder statesmen are not investigated. Ranging from the halliburton sleaze to the privatisation of national assets to mention but a few.
The erudite professor just gave us a tip of the iceberg in his interview that is currently trending on this forum.
https://www.nairaland.com/2517017/ribadu-later-realised-obasanjo-using

A part of it went like this: ....
Soyinka said that a leader dedicated to the fight against corruption should ensure that the agencies entrusted with the responsibility to fight the scourge were strengthened.

According to him, he told pioneer Chairman of the EFCC, Ribadu, that he was being used by Obasanjo but he did not believe it.

He stated that the former EFCC boss admitted to him when he was sent on exile in the UK that he did realise very late that OBJ was using him.

Soyinka stressed that it was imperative to remove the link between power and corruption in Nigeria.

He said, “Why should a President involve himself in what is already structurally established and dedicated to that purpose?

“I warned your former boss, Ribadu, I told him that, your task will be done when in the course of your investigation; you discover that the source of the problem is the very person who appointed you.

“He looked shocked a bit, and eventually he and I met in London, after he was removed and (the current Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasir) el-Rufai was also in exile after they tried to kill him. We met and Ribadu refused to sit down. I asked him to sit but he said no, that until I accepted his apology, he won’t sit down. I asked what apology? And he said ‘I should have listened to you. I failed to listen to you.

“Something you have said to me and I failed to listen’ Ribadu admitted that he realised very late that Obasanjo was using him.

“So we have to destroy that link between power and corruption. Audu Ogbeh confirmed what I am telling you. Then, it was ‘go after this one, go after that one, ahh you did not arrest him? Arrest his mother! I am challenging Obasanjo to deny it.

So, when you are looking for corruption, you should look at the entire stratum of the society, while some forms of corruption are direct, others are indirect.
Obj just forgot a popular saying that when you point a person with one finger, the remaining four are pointing at you.
His failed third tenure amBition and the billions of nigerian money that went down the drain with that has not been forgotten as well. He help to enshrine corruption into our democratic era, he is not and never a saint.

PoliticsRe: BUHARI: Start Anti-corruption Crusade In Osun - SDP by feemi: 11:00am On Jun 02, 2015
The good people of Osun are reaping their reward now and that's what they want. They way they celebrate politicians here in osun shows how shallow and hollow the peoples mind are.

Nobody, tactifully appraised AREGBESOLANTI's body language and policies before giving him another mandate. The same way they were singing oyin gidi gidi... when Oyinlola decamped to APC.

Those are the guys that are castigating GEJ wherever and whenever they gather. Now they are ashamed to change it for aregbe, the bandit. The situation in osun is too appalling, even Tinubu is collecting his EGUNJE regularly from osun but the workers' reward is left in God's hands.

If we must go to equity, we must do that with clean hands. Apart from PMB, the progenitors of change in Naija are just very dirty. Sometimes I wonder, how did we get it so wrong?

May God help us all.

What were the reps of such people looking at when they were about to cast the votes?

What happened to walking out?

Oba Akiolu did not threaten them He was having tete-a-tete with his friends, as demonstrated by the lovely cordial atmosphere atthat meeting. His red cap wearing friend were all laughing and applauding him/
We are just being callous about this issue.
Can we just allow these Biafrans /LNC to go?
We don't like or want them, and then we don't want them to go. Is not the point of callousness?
PoliticsRe: On Biafra And Lower Niger by feemi: 7:43pm On May 16, 2015
Its either we are fully one Naija or nothing. All those finger pointing shouldn't suffice at all

See this tree hopper that is pained for being a slave.

Being an Osu Caste is not even bad for you, you are now a slave of the Nigerian state and the 5th class citizen. Suck.s to be you.

If any y1bo, nyamiri, okoro or flat.head yarn rubbish with me on the road, i will tell him who he is, just like Oba akiolu told you to your face and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.

Get that into your head, red mud soiled orango tang.
These people still have some oil producing states and the house of reps just abrogated the concession to the oil producing states and said that the whole Naija should benefit from their claims to their oil. But Oba Akiolu just threatened their right to freedom last month.
Why are we double talking all the time in this country?
PoliticsRe: On Biafra And Lower Niger by feemi: 7:33pm On May 16, 2015
Am of the view that we split this country. Let everybody liase with who they are comfortable with, lower niger/biafra and arewa/odua as the case may be.
We have been pointing and poking fingers into our faces for a long time. We don't even trust each other no more.

At Aburi, confederacy was the slogan but some ghosts thought because it came from a particular section it was shouted down with Biafra. But those things that prompted the uprising still persist till today.

Is it not the time that we see sense in that and either scatter this country or do d confederacy shit. Afterall, we were looped together by people that don't share our sentiments.

God bless us all

Those folks who said stuffs like;

"The guy is greedy and doesn't want to

share his knowledge free of charge"

... are so pathetic and here's why.

Each morning, they wake up, and;

- Use toothpaste they paid for,

- Eat in a restaurant and pay for it,

- Buy recharge cards and pay,

- Enter a bus and pay the driver,

Yet they want someone who has spend

time and money to research and produce

his own product to give it to them for free?

Nonsense!

People who make statements like these

are idiats in front of my eyes.

Do not be like them biko!

Some also so: - "His ebook and trainings

were full of crap", EVEN THOUGH they

admitted they had not read it!

How did they know this guy's stuffs were

crap?

Sure, maybe it is, but how did they

know, since they had not even read it,

nor attended any of his trainings?

Oh I remember, they consulted an Ifa

herbalist!

And Ifa told them that the guys book

was full of blank pages.

Abi naa.

Otherwise how else would they have

magically known this without reading

it?

Okay Sure, it is true.

But why should people bring up that

argument here?

My point is; just because someone offers

his product for sale does not mean it is

crap.

You can only judge and decide that AFTER

you have gone through it.

And this is why we always tie money

back guaranty policy to our books and

seminars... such that you can have your

darling kesh back, should our material

turn out to be crap
