I already got the cable, cut one end and attached it to a socket but it didn't work. There was a little voltage in the socket but it was very negligible. Could it be that the cable cannot be rewired the way I did it?

Oga Feflo, I'm looking to get a Pure Sine Wave Transformerless type of Inverter, I learnt their idle battery usage is very little compared to Transformer inverters.
