feflo: Yes it can but there will be a geat drop in efficiency compared to when the sky was clear. Its advisable to have more panels to compensate for this situation.

How long it will last depends on factors like number of batteries, the load on it, the amount of charge delivered by the panels and so on. Of course it can use more than one battery.
