Lost your data? Here's how you can recover it, the easy way

We've all done it: accidentally deleted photos, videos or files by accident. But, before you say goodbye to it for good, there are ways to recover your data and get back your precious files. In this article, we'll guide you through how you can do that.

Don't Panic! Here's How to Recover your Lost Data

Time is always of the essence though: do not save anything else to your device or switch it off. First, check your backups (such as those made automatically by Google) to see if your lost data is there. If not, then its time to get to work, and fast. Turn off your internet connection so that no automatic updates occur before you've had a chance to recover your lost data.

Use a PC Program

Your best bet to recover deleted files that were stored on a microSD card is a PC program. There are plenty of them online and your success with each may vary.
We recommend trying Recuva.

Many users report successfully recovering their files with it and we were able to get the five photos we deleted for our test too. The software is easy to use and offers both a free and relatively low-cost version professional version for $19.95.

For our experiment, we used the free version.

You don't need to be tech-savvy to use Recuva.

First, connect plug in your microSD card into your PC or laptop. You might need a microSD to SD adapter to do so. Next, open Recuva. The program has a wizard interface, which is pretty self-explanatory. First, a prompt will ask you what type of file you are trying to recover - pictures, videos, text files, etc. If you use the professional version, you will also be able to create a disk image first and recover from it. Next, you will be asked where the program should look for the lost data. Simply select your microSD and start the process. If or when the program finds your files, check if they are usable on your PC first, since they can become corrupted.

We must note, however, that Recuva is usually not able to detect Android smartphones as removable drives. Restoring files deleted from your device's internal memory is therefore not likely using this software. There is still hope if your phone is rooted, however. In that case you can simply install a mass storage enabler app. After enabling it, Recuva will be able to detect and scan your phone.

Back Up

You never know what might go wrong with your smartphone, so backing up is essential if you don't want to lose any data. After all, prevention is the best cure. The simplest method for backing up your photos and videos is simply making copies of them on both your PC and an external hard drive if you have one. Once you've connected your phone to your computer and allowed file transfers, you can usually find media in the DCIM folder of your smartphone.

It isn't about what's new, it's about what's better and more advance!

Android Q beta 3 is available today on more devices than any previous Android beta has been available before. android Q has oft- requested UI changes like Dark mode and improved gestures. Even though those are the things most people will notice, they aren't the most important ( or impressive) parts. The more important parts are the things that address real user needs and resolve long-time problems with android platform.
Q is therefore special in the following respect:-
there is new accessibility called LIVE CAPTION
which is genuinely amazing as it allow you to get real time transcription of what is been said on any video or audio.

Improved security and privacy models many of which have been long time waiting!

New solutions to Android parental update and upgrades.
Google is therefore trying to finish a lot of the work it started with Android 9 pie.

Dark theme.
It is not totally clear why Google chose to call it "dark theme" instead of " dark mode" But this dark theme is true black not the very dark gray we've seen on some dark models. And it will theoretically help with battery life and protect users eye greatly against light!

Gestural navigation in Q is unique.
As there is a long thin white bar on the bottom of the screen. You swipe up to ho to home. You swipe up and drag across to go into multi-tasking view. If u swipe across it quickly to switch between Apps. But how you will get to the Google Assistant is yet to be determined. Moreover you swipe in from the left or right side of the phone to go back. and the back swipe works across the entire edge.

Notifications.

Q beta revealed that u can't swipe in both directions to dismiss a notification anymore. Instead, one direction dismisses and the other reveal options like snoozing or changing settings. Indeed the main notification change in Q is the new way to auto-reply to an incoming charts. At the level of OS android Q can recommend replies based on the context of the message u have received. So if someone text to u an address, u can hit a buttom to reply with "Be right there" or another buttom to open up google maps.

Conclusively it should be noted that there will be no grand theme to be found in android Q, no paradigm shifts in mobile computing. But there is bunch of many amazing advance stuff I haven't mentioned here such as app continuity and many other support for foldables!! And Q is ready for 5G network!

2019 has been off to a great start with all the new video games that have been released. However, that was just the beginning! As we are nearing the halfway point of the year, we still have a lot more coming our way in terms of video game culture! Here are a few games that have already caught the attention of the public through various forms of media like press releases, trailers and more!


1. Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Players can play either as Jess or Soph Blazkowicz (a.k.a. “The Terror Twins”) who are the twin daughters of B.J. Blazkowicz, who was the protagonist of the previous Wolfenstein game. Set in an alternate timeline where Nazi Germany won WW2, Jess and Soph travel to Paris in search of their father. Simultaneously, they are helping the French rebels against the Nazis who have now occupied Paris. The first-person shooter will be available July 26 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.


2. Borderlands 3

Jedi: Fallen Order, players control of Padawan Cal Kestis (voiced by Cameron Monaghan), one of the last remaining Jedi after the events of Order 66. In this order, clone troopers were ordered to attack and eliminate any and all Jedis. The video game will be played as a third-person as Cal Kestis tries to make his way through the game without being killed by those hunting the remaining Jedi. This video game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15.

4. Skull & Bones


Teased at E3 2017, Skull & Bones is finally being released to the public 2 years later. In this video game, players will be able to control pirate ships as they sail around trying to gain power and wealth. There are two playable game modes for this video game. You can either play solo gameplay where you sail around the Indian Ocean or you can team up with other players as you battle other pirate ships in the waters.

The XOS 5.0 Cheetah has been revealed on the Infinix S4 and Smart 3 Plus device, we take a look at the OS and how the future looks.
This version comes with quite a handful of new features that we were not used to seeing on previous versions of XOS. Today I’ll share about the feature Privacy Protection.

You might be thinking. What if there are lots of creepy apps that might be listening to your conversations by recording them ? Well, the new XOS will help you curb the paranoia. When an app is using the microphone and you are not aware, XOS 5.0 will notify you !

What it is ?
This feature let you know which installed app on your Infinix phone is monitoring you, or recording unwarranted data.
For example: When an app is using the microphone and you are not aware, XOS 5.0 will notify you with a pop-up message XOS 5.0 will notify you “XXXX App is recording”, giving you total control over your privacy. Happy now ?

How to enable it ?
Just open the System Settings, tap ‘Security & location’, then scroll down for ‘Privacy Protection’. Steps are uploaded below.
