Afunkybaby: ASUU is the worst ever, they are unbelievable, they postponed a meeting for a whole month, because of the death of a member, so they strike for 4 months and we have to spend 6 months at home, this is so sad, i am so frustrated and angry, what kind of people are these people, they behave like they dont care at all, 6 months gone and wasted, they dare not attempt to strike ever again

fabby26: They have to accord that respect to their member, they're already in mourning mood, so not in the right mind for such meeting. Remember is a human being that died not an animal, and a Senior member of the union, whose contribution in that meeting would've been of immense value. They suppose to even think of convening the meeting after his burial, that's my opinion though

today postponed, due to Prof.
Iyayi's death.
A source confirmed that the ASUU
National Executive Council
meeting scheduled to take place
at Bayero University, Kano today
would no longer hold.
He said the strike will
continue until the
professor is buried and all issues
concerning his death are solved.
He also said the union may have
to include
compensation of Professor
Iyayi's family into the agreement
since he died in the cause of
trying to end the strike.

The strike should not be called off until the man is buried in the 3rd quarter of next year,this would be a sign of respect to the man and his family,but if they decide to call it off,i would not go back to school until the man is buried cuz d spirit will surely hunt souls in schs, am too young to die.
