Seconded. I've hated this act of his for a while. He posts a topic, and moves it to the Front page. Posts another and moves it to the front page. He never looks around to see if there's any good post that's worth to be shared with the whole community. He is quit a selfish mod. I'm sorry to say, but, that's the truth. |

CODEEATER: I have blender already..+ tuts.Youtube is your best friend. The thing is that most people think that 'cause Blender is free, that other programs are better. It's one of the Best. Youtube will get you on track. |
If you can lay your hands on Maya or Blender 3D, I'll advise you go for it. Those are the 3D programs that fully aids your working from modelling, animating, good game development environment. Blender is free. But, being free doesn't make it inferior, it's REAL good. I MEAN GOOD. While Maya is sold. Check the cost on their site. |
My laptop stopped charging and the engineers said I'll have to change the board for it to back to normal. So, please, does anyone know at what price I can get a good one. I need your answers 'cause my laptop is now more of a desktop computer. It goes off immediately light goes off. Your contributions will be highly appreciated. Thanks. |
Alright, Bro. Thanks. |
Well, I probably would love to be part of the crew. My first contribution: If I'm permitted, I'll like to Re-design the Logo to something more professional. I do 3D but not character rigging. Well, I'll also try and do the custom Dark Dove sound. And, will contribute to where I possibly can. |
Sir, I love these. Can I color them? |
daresylva: great job broThanks man. |
Heard that an Ebola case has been confirmed in some hospitals in Nigeria, Abeokuta, Akure, Fct, Benue, Kaduna, Borno, Niger and Some other Federal Hospitals in Nigerian, through a Liberian who came into Nigeria. Anyway, whether true or false, we all need to be aware of the necessary preventive measures to take in reducing or stopping the spread of this deadly virus in our precious country. I want us to know that staying away from that hospital will not in any way stop it's spread among the people. Whoever brought the virus into Nigeria, obviously sat in the plane with other Nigerians, and also passed through airport officials. Liberians basically greet by hand shaking and hugs, so you can't tell how many people he/she must have greeted while coming into Lagos. Therefore, the following are the preventive measures we need to take, rather than avoiding the 'said' hospital:- Please have a personal hand sanitizer and use it as frequent as possible (like every 30 minutes).- Do not buy and eat any fruit directly without washing it first very well.- For now, you might want to stay away from eating any meat that you do not know it's source, most especially our lovely 'Suya and Eran igbe'.- Also, try not to put your hands into your mouth without using a sanitizer first ( for those of us that bite our fingers a lot, we need to consciously stop for now).- Try and avoid unnecessary hand shaking for now, or immediately after, use your sanitizer.- Unlike HIV, Ebola can be spread through contact with body sweat or saliva, so take caution when you sit in the 'danfo Brt' buses in Lagos or when you want to kiss.- Avoid eating any meat from apes e.g monkeys and its families.- Generally, avoid having contacts with body fluid- Bathe as often as you can- Prepare your meats by yourself, if possible- Lastly, get more information about Ebola, it's free on google hope I have been able to help, and stop the unnecessary panic byavoiding a particular hospital. Please stay safe and healthy!!!!! Remember Nigeria Govt no Care. Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is the human disease caused by ebola viruses. Symptoms start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus with a fever, throat and muscle pains, and headaches. There is then nausea, vomiting and diarrhea along with decreased functioning of the liver and kidneys. At this point some people begin to have problems with bleeding. [1] The disease is first acquired by a population when a person comes into contact with the blood or bodily fluids of an infected animal such as a monkey or fruit bat. Fruit bats are believed to carry and spread the disease without being affected by it. Once infection occurs, the disease may be spread from one person to another. Men who survive may be able to transmit the disease sexually for nearly two months. To make the diagnosis, typically other diseases with similar symptoms such as malaria, cholera and other viral hemorrhagic fever are excluded. The blood may then be tested for either antibodies to the virus, the viral RNA, or the virus itself to confirm the diagnosis. [1] Prevention involves decreasing the spread of the disease from infected monkeys and pigs to humans. This may be done by checking these animals for infection and killing and properly disposing of the bodies if the disease is discovered. Properly cooking meat and wearing protective clothing when handling meat may be helpful, as may wearing protective clothing and washing hands when around someone sick with the disease. Samples from people with the disease should be handled with an extra degree of caution. [1] There is no specific treatment for the virus with efforts to help people including giving the person either oral rehydration therapy or intravenous fluids.[1] The disease has a high death rate: often between 50% and 90%. [2] It typically occurs in outbreaks in tropical regions of Sub-Saharan Africa.[1] Between 1976, when it was first identified, and 2014, fewer than 1,000 people a year have been infected.[1][3]The largest outbreak as of 2014 is the ongoing 2014 West Africa Ebola outbreak, which is affecting Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. [3] The disease was first identified in the Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Efforts are ongoing to develop a vaccine; however, none exists as of 2014. |
Welcome to CGminds blog. Today, we'll be sharing with you a trick that has helped freelancers get paying clients. Enjoy. Last year, I attended a digital marketing conference in San fran, and, I had three objectives: 1. Learn cool stuff I could use for my own businesses and to help my clients. 2. Pick up potential clients. 3. Eat a lot of that famous west coast sushi :-) After all – I'm a digital marketer – so everyone at this conference is a potential client, right? But here's the thing… From attending these conferences in the past, I know how people pitch their services and pass out business cards that get stuffed into pockets and thrown away. I 100% hate that approach. Every fiber of my being shrieks in pain at the thought of being "that guy". ** So I decided to do something different… Something that would make potential clients come to me. ------------------------------------------------------------ What I came up with cost me about $50 (I think $48…) in total, but it should have cost less. I had to pay for overnight shipping though so what should have been a $20 marketing project cost me $30 more. What was the project? A t-shirt. "Huh? That's it?" Yep. A t-shirt. But… I didn't want to do what everyone else does: slap my logo and some salesy message onto an ugly T that fits weird. I wanted my shirt to actually stand out like crazy, and I wanted it to look cool. After all, if I'm paying $50 for a t-shirt I'd better be able to get more than one use out of it LOL. I also wanted who I am and what I do to be instantly recognizable so potential, qualified clients would approach me to discuss. ** To accomplish those goals, here's what I did: ------------------------------------------------------------ I found a cool fitted black t-shirt on one of these websites that lets you design your own clothing. (I don't remember the name, but a quick Google search for "online screenprinting" or something similar made them pop up.) Then, using their online interface, I put one single word in Helvetica Bold across the front in white: "copywriter" All lower-case, for personality ;-) In this case, I was promoting our agency's copywriting service as we were backed up with design projects. But the same tactic would have worked if I'd printed: "web designer" Or "awesome web designer" Or something else that's simple but has some spice. ** When I arrived at the conference, here's what happened next: ------------------------------------------------------------ On Day 1, I found my seat, took out my notepad, and started prepping to take notes. Then I heard: "YOU'RE A COPYWRITER? HEY WE REALLY NEED ONE." I looked up to find a wide-eyed fellow in front of me. We chatted and he couldn't have been more excited at the idea of hiring me. (And I put his dialogue in all caps because he practically screamed it at me. Which only served to attract more attention :-) ) In fact… ** This simple little* t-shirt worked so well that after the first hour… I took it off and didn't put it back on for the rest of the weekend. ------------------------------------------------------------ (*I say "little" because it's kind of a running joke that I wear small t-shirts… at a recent event I spoke at, they had a comedian "roast" a bunch of the speakers / audience at one point and the guy called me "Baby Gap" LOL.) I was overwhelmed. The response was more than my fragile little mind could take. I was offered projects from the people I'd met later on, but I actually declined them because they weren't very interesting. (I'm very picky about projects, and have worked very hard to get to a place where I can afford that pickiness.) Unfortunately, this actually made these people want my services even more, which made me feel really bad when I continued to decline them. But if I'd needed the cash or wasn't so selective, I would have made a small fortune from that $50 investment. ** The best part? I really love the t-shirt and it's now a part of my regular rotation :-) ------------------------------------------------------------ So if you want to try this for yourself, here are some things to keep in mind: * Wear it anywhere entrepreneurs roam. That could be Starbucks on a Monday morning or marketing meetups / conferences, etc. * Conferences where you have to pay to get in will get you more qualified leads than free ones. Why? Because they're full of people who are actively spending money on marketing. That means they have cash to spend and they like to spend it on growing their businesses. * Keep it SIMPLE. My shirt didn't have any sales messages or anything. Just "copywriter" in big, bold, white letters on a solid black background. ** It's stupidly simple. ------------------------------------------------------------ I know. But sometimes the best ideas are. Source: http://cgminds..com/2014/07/the-cheap-client-getting-method.html |

To be candid with you,If anybody offers to teach you either web design or Graphic Design for anything less than 20k, slow down and look elsewhere. The truth is that you can't learn both at a go. You must focus on one and get done with it. They are two different things that need time and attention. Well, there are some persons who'd offer both for 15k but, remember, they'll comb it and leave you with little or nothing. The least I know you can enroll for any of these is 50k.(For one. Not both). Or you can alternatively use youtube and google. Goodluck. You, tried mailing me. And, the email associated with my account ain't functioning anymore. You can mail me @ xchipgraphics@gmail.com. |
