Family / Re: It Is Proper To Have Sex During Fasting Period? by femolevsky(m): 10:00am On Jan 07, 2015
The purpose of fasting is to deny yourself things that stimulate your flesh/mind, in order to clear it so you can hear God better, and receive instructions clearly.

Now, as a Newly married couple, you are not supposed to engage in any fast that especially includes denying yourselves your intimate duties. Also, depending on your own bodies, even if you have been married a while, you need to communicate your limits to your spouse and determine how long you can abstain.

Note: if during your agreed abstinence, you feel the urge denying your the concentration you need, it's ok to ask permission from your spouse to clear that urge and continue your fast. In essence, it's really between you and your spouse and what you are fasting for and expecting. However, if you receive express instructions to abstain totally, pls try your best to do so during the period.

Enjoy.

I hate to be the bubble burster, but it's either this guy has infringed on someone's patent or he is ignorant of the patent and did this with his own ingenuity. This device has been around for a while abroad.
Religion / Re: Before, immediately Or After Faith? Wen Do U Receive The Gift Of The Holy Spirit? by femolevsky(m): 12:02pm On Nov 16, 2014
A new believer receives the Holy Spirit for two functions primarily.

1) Holy Spirit within (Fruit): this is responsible for the internal guidance required by every believer to be able to enjoy the fullness of everything given to us by Our Father through Jesus. Through this in-infilling, we also receive the Fruit of the Spirit which essentially nourishes us spiritually to have the right attitudes in life's circumstances and in our relationships with people, as well as the right way to behave as an Ambassador of God's Kingdom on the earth. We should here that the Holy Spirit is received within at the point when we accept Jesus as our personal Lord(Owner) and Saviour(Deliverer/Grace supplier)

2) Holy Spirit Upon (Gifts): this is synonymous with the event on the day of pentecost, where the disciples received Him. However the dramatic way it occurred may not necessarily occur today when you receive the Holy Spirit upon you, sometimes, most often than not, it will be a quiet event only accompanied by speaking in "other tongues". Other signifying apart from your mother tongue. This "Upon" occurs for the purpose of your part to be fulfilled within the Church. Just like you go to school to receive skills which will be benefit the larger society and which helps you play your role in society, so does the Holy Spirit upon help you fulfil your Work in the Church, for the equipping of the Saints, including the unsaved ones.

You can receive the Holy Spirit upon when you pray and ask God directly or by another Spirit filled believer laying his/her hands upon your head and praying over you. Note, this believer has to have the Holy Spirit upon, as you can't give what you don't have.

Essentially, the Holy Spirit is your companion for your work on the earth towards God and your fellow man. He is an an all round Help in any and every way.

If you haven't received him, now is a good time. Join me, say this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe you came, I believe you died and I believe you were raised on the third day and you are seated at the right hand of the father almighty, I confess you as my Lord and saviour and I receive you into my life. Holy Spirit come into my heart and live within me. Thank you Jesus, I am saved.

For those who need the Holy Spirit upon, with evidence of speaking in tongues, say this:

Holy Spirit, I believe that you have been given to me to help me, I hereby ask for your help, come upon me, give me the gift I require to fulfil my part in your Kingdom, evidenced by the speaking of other tongues. Thank you sir, I receive it, in Jesus name. Amen.

Enjoy your life.

You are entitle to your opinion but not to your facts.
Sir, Jonathan told the foreigners we now enjoy light 24/7 , is that true?

I had 20/7 light then and now, it's even better, 23/7. I believe it will get better and my Nepa bill has been 3,000 since I can remember. Also I spend only N2000 on diesel all month on the average.

In all your noise, I have decided to single out this. Do you realise that the SUBSIDY bills started to speak in trillions when Jonathan came on board? It wasn't so when Yar Adua was there...
Hey, Jonathan admitted Fraud in the sector and the subsidy bill. Yet, the same indicted people are his campaigners

FALSE sir, it actually started under Obasanjo, the reason was because the middle class grew and many more cars got on the roads. Of course, as any other lucrative business, this attracted thieves, many of whom hit in during the change of government, they made false claims and were paid first because of people like you who scream at the sight of any fuel queues. One other thing that affected the growth in our subsidy bill was the need to Wet the country and still have enough in store to cover any shock. So PGEJ ordered PPMC to reactivate all our dilapidated depots and storage facilities so we can store enough to last us a while, that's why we haven't had fuel queues for a while. Now thrives obviously find their way into any system, as it becomes more lucrative, so the fact that the theives were exposed for your knowledge shows the government's commitment to plug loopholes. Nigeria has corrupt people everywhere, we just need a system to ensure they can't operate. And this government did it by ensuring MOMAN and IPMAN are the only importers. In fact, IPMAN has started building their own Refinery in Delta, this under PGEJ.

Final remark, The whole argument of foreign debt is a non-issue. Thailand has more external reserve than UK, Brazil external reserve is equivalent to that of US and UK joined together. Nigeria is 45th in term of country with highest external reserve.

In terms of external debt, the likes of Ghana, Tanzania are owing more than Nigeria.. we are 89th in the world.

Argument should center on the development of this nation than stockpiling fund in reserve (except the ECA or SWF for infrastructure investment). Get the damn money out of wherever it is and use it for the development of this nation. Until then, Jonathan till Buhari stop contesting election in Nigeria.

The Reserve is vital to ensure the Nation has enough to meet its external obligations, it gives investors confidence to know that the economy has enough to meet its obligations to them, without it, no one will do business with Nigeria, internally or externally. So it can't be drawn down and spent as you insinuated.

What we fail to take jnto account through all of these is that we have had a relatively stable Macro Economy through all the crises of the world economy. The Foreign Reserve of any Nation fluctuates as a function of many things, one of which is the Exchange Rate. Whether there is a draw down on the reserve or not, it's value fluctuates as the exchange rate does. Now, the Foreign Reserve is domiciled with the CBN and not the Executive, PGEJ or any other president for that matter can't touch the reserve. What he can touch is the ECA and he can only do that with the support of FAAC which comprises of all the states and their FM/commissioners. So this argument really is pointless. Now you may be asking why the Naira is falling right now against the Dollar which is our official reserve currency and the answer is Oil Output and Pricing which is subject to OPEC and the US, the US because they are/were our largest buyers until Shale entered the picture. Now they have scaled down their Orders which is what Obama promised to do, to keep their economy away from the shocks of the Unstable Middle East and African countries.

In all of these, we have had a stable Macro Economic structure that has seen the largest ever influx of FDI and Investor confidence. But as the risk of being an oil dependent economy exacerbates, no thanks to Politicians and their utterances towards the elections and falling sales, the Naira falls as investors get shaky as seen on the NSE, so NOIweala has done a great job keeping our economy stable in the face of the most troubling times we have faced since the War, some say even more so, considering the Financial crisis and Shale's assistance to our biggest buyers.

If PGEJ had not partially removed the Subsidy, we would have suffered more, our dependence on the dollar and affinity for foreign made goods, including the BlackBerry I'm typing with, is what keeps us open to external shocks. Until we can wriggle free, I'm afraid, we will continue to see our Reserve fluctuating.

It has nothing to do with GEJ. In fact, GEJ has shown more ingenuity than past leaders in that he has financed critical infrastructure using external funds directly tied to performance contracts which will ensure those projects are delivered and we are currently witnessing that. The largest infrastructural investments are taking place in Nigeria.
