cassava, corn, fruits, yam are options you can consider

unnecessary trip. practical implementation is what we need.

Hello all. I have been following posts here for a while now and have decided to take the bold step of going into piggery at Okearo Farm. I, however, need you great guys to put me through on some current details:
(1) Current cost of renting Pen that can hold between 50 to 100 pigs at Okearo Pig Farm
(2) Current cost of 50kg bag of Maize
(3) Current cost of 1 ton of spent Brewers grain (Dry and wet)
(4) Current cost of 1 ton of PKC
(5) Current cost of 50kg of Dried bonemeal
(6) Current cost of 1 ton of Cassava Marsh

Everything depends on your location feed costs, finance and breeding methodology you decide to adopt.


You need to plan the farm very carefully from d scratch. you can't stumble into piggery

2 males are enough for 20 females.

with good feed and management the sky is your limit.

First crush is about 44 naira per kg

Another cost saving strategy is to buy food products directly from farmers.

An example is Pork meat which is still more affordable than beef or chicken.

If you make bulk purchases of Pork from me I will give further discount and you get it delivered to your home
