Rip To Those who die

11 persons; 3 females, 8 males were burnt to death while 3 persons were rescued alive after a 14 seater commercial bus lost its brakes, somersaulted and burst into flames yesterday, July 21 at Berger by Otedola bridge.


According to LASEMA, a fully loaded Danfo bus carrying 15 passengers lost control and somersaulted three times before catching fire.


The impact of the lone crash reportedly caused 11 passengers to pass out and in the process, the bus caught fire, burning them alive.

2 passengers were rescued alive by LASEMA operatives around 6:10pm today.According to Police PPRO, Dolapo Badmos, the accident happened around 6:00pm.

She added that the bus was heading towards Berger from Mushin when the tyre bust and subsequently somersaulted 3 times before going up in flames.The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene of the accident.
