In their bid to clear the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hiding in some parts of the North Eastern of the country, troops have intensified efforts on clearance operations.


It is in this regard that the 29 Brigade Quick Reaction Force (QRF), in conjunction with Civilian JTF carried out an ambush against Boko Haram terrorists east of Marguba village in Kaga Local Government Area, Borno State yesterday Friday.The troops killed 2 of the Boko Haram terrorists, while some of them sustained gun shot wounds as could be seen from traces of blood during mopping up.


They also recovered 1 AK-47 rifle with 29 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, a bow and arrows, a Tecno mobile telephone handset, 1 wallet and an Identity Card of Animal Dealers Association, amongst other items.In a related development, troops along with Civilian JTF have continued clearance operations within Sambisa forest despite harsh climatic conditions and bad terrain occasioned by heavy down rainfalls especially within Gombale area.


Despite bugging down of vehicles and equipment because of the bad terrain, the troops have continued with their clearance operations.Thank you for your usual and kind cooperation.

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has reiterated his believe in the unity of Nigeria. Speaking on Sunday, July 10, shortly after receiving the Zik Prize, 2015 in the Good Governance category, Governor Amosun extolled the vision of Nigeria's founding Fathers and urged the younger generation to emulate them.


"Leaders like the great Zik challenge me everyday when I look at the kind of legacies they have left behind for the coming generation," Governor Amosun said.

The governor added that being a recipient of an award like the Zik prize is a challenge to do more.

"Yes, you may congratulate me for being recognized with such an award, but it is also a call to more duties. For me, an award of this nature is a challenge to do better than my best and I am dedicated to doing more for our people," Governor Amosun said.

Equally honoured at the event which held in Lagos, is Chief Willie Obiano, Anambra State Governor; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara; Chairman of Channels Television, Mr. John Momoh; Founder, Insight Communications, Mr. Biodun Shobanjo and CEO, Erisco Foods Limited, Chief Eric Umeofia.

Yunusa's lawyer, Barrister Huwaila Muhammad Ibrahim shared this photo of herself consoling her client's mother after his release and return to Kano."What i felt was priceless i pray Allah to continue to give us strength to make Difference and touch the lives of people" she captioned the photo.
