One person has been confirmed dead and scores sustained bullet wounds after a war broke out between the Vikings and the in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State on Thursday, June 29th.


The deceased (pictured left) simply identified as Junior, an alleged member of a rival cult group was killed around 6 o’clock yesterday evening, near the town's royal residence.

Joy Bishara , 20, and Lydia Pogu , 19, two of the Chibok schoolgirls who were able to escape from boko Haram in 2014, met with US President Donald Trump at the White House Wednesday, June 28. The duo and several other girls who escaped moved to the United States to complete school.


With the help of a Christian nonprofit, others, they were able to attend boarding school in Virginia. Bishara and Pogu transferred their senior year and recently graduated from Canyonville Christian Academy. They will be attending Southeastern University in Florida in the fall.

A Grenfell Tower survivor who lost everything in the inferno got out out his seat to furiously confront the Tory housing minister live on television.

Oluwaseun Talabi, who fled the 14th floor of the burning tower with his family, jumped up on the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire show and challenged housing minister Alok Sharma over his need for a permanent home. .

He was held back by fellow residents as he told the Tory MP he was not prepared to accept inadequate rehousing. As he spoke of his admiration for the victims of the tragedy, Mail Online said an interjection came from the audience in the area’s Maxilla social club, telling him: “Stop it, please.” .
.
An emotional Mr Talabi approached the minister and pointed his finger at him, saying: “I am not moving my child from here to here to here to here – I want permanent accommodation. .
.
“If I don’t get permanent accommodation, I’m not going to accept it. I am not going to take any house you give me, it has to be suitable. Don’t give me any accommodation. I was happy in my house. I work hard, I work hard, I had a good house.” .
.
He was then led back to his seat.He had earlier told the host his family had ‘lost everything’ in the fire. Mr Sharma was interrupted by survivors several times during the show, starting when it was suggested only temporary accommodation was being arranged. .

After the confrontation, Mr Sharma said: ‘Right now we have a lot of people who are in hotels. What we’ve said is that we are dealing with these housing needs assessments with everyone and if anyone is here who has not had that done, I will personally sit down with you straight after this and we will go through.’ .
.
Frustration has been expressed by residents after they have reportedly been forced to move between hotels several times since the blaze.

The marital crisis between Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill entered a whole new level this past weekend when Churchill went back to Tonto Dikeh's family house to have her bride price refunded.


Churchill's uncle, Bishop Dare led a delegation to meet with Tonto Dikeh's father, Chief Sunny Dikeh in Port Harcourt to collect the bride price they paid over a year ago when they held their introduction.

Tension is mounting in the Assin Dansame township in Ghana, following an order by the chief of the town for a corpse to be exhumed.

The chief, Nana Twum Barima V is said to have ordered for the body of the deceased, Kofi Emmanuel to be exhumed from the cemetery on Monday 26th June , a day after his burial , on the grounds that the deceased flouted community’s rule by abstaining from communal labour when he was alive.

The chief argues that since the deceased failed to respect the laws of the land, then he does not deserve to be buried on the same soil but elsewhere hence the exhumation.

The corpse has since been dumped at the town’s lorry station after it was initially left along a footpath in the town. Fluid from the corpse leaks unto the ground with many fearing of a possible disease outbreak as a result of that unhealthy discharge.

An unidentified young boy was crushed to death after he fell asleep under a vehicle on Friday morning, June 15, in Jimeta, Adamawa State.

It was gathered that when it started raining early that fateful morning, the boy took shelter under the vehicle and eventually dozed off. When the driver started his vehicle, he unwittingly crushed the sleeping boy.
