sorry for bothering everyone. I found the answers to my questions by reading through the posts esp from feddy27.

One more question feddy.. please how did you manage with local transportation between accommodation and hospital and locall shopping of basic things you required? will also be grateful if you can share contacts(cab, accommodation etc) that were very useful during your stay.

Thank you

in the spirit of giving back..... here is my POE experience.
myself, wife, son, and MIL came in through JFK..... i was ready with my burden of proofs

ME: Hello
CBP: (no answer)
CBP: passports please
ME: handed our passports to him
CBP: (after about few minutes) place your fingers in the machine ---- then he asked my wife, and MIL to do the same.
CBP: that's all
ME: thank you

at the Agric section: i handed the officer my landing card
officer: you indicated that you have more than $10k
me: told him the other currencies i had and the total and he wrote them down
officer: what do you have in your bag....
me: food items, cassava flakes etc
officer: ok you can go

that was it.

Divine favour all the way.

thanks to everyone who has contributed their experiences and tips on this forum.

God Bless you all.

My people ! In the spirit of giving back, here's my birth story: I gave birth to my baby boy last week Tuesday at Oakbend and Dr Fagbohun took the delivery himself. I had a very fantastic and amazing labour nurse; Lesley ! God bless this pretty soul. The members of staff were very helpful. Baby was given all the supplies he needed and they brought a celebratory meal to my room to celebrate baby's arrival. I had more than enough juice to drink..lol. also, different pain medications were administered. Overall the hospital experience was great and Dr F is really experienced and good at his job. I'll def use him again. Birth certificate was ready for pick up by Monday, went to downtown for passport yesterday and picked up same day. Waiting to process naija visa, collect zero balances and get ready to make my way home !

CONGRATULATIONS.

Great job every one. i have also been a silent follower of this forum..... God Bless you all... All ya believing God for the fruit of the womb and the means to have your child in US..... it is my prayer that God will visit you this year by God's grace.

Please i have the following questions:

1. I got the B1/B2 visa last year, never used it but now wish to have my baby in US. Is it compulsory to write the embassy to notify them of my intention to have my baby in US?

2. I plan to use Dr. Fagboun..... any good accommodation around oakbend where the hospital is? i believe the area is called Richmond.

3. Which POE will u recommend ?

4. Which airline do you recommend?

5. What is the minimum recommended number if days/weeks a newborn baby requires before getting on a local or international flight?

Thanks in advance. smiley
