There is a very common legal concept/term called "sub judice". When a case is already in court, you're not supposed to be discussing it publicly, especially as a party to such litigation. Doing otherwise can make a party (to a case pending in court) be charged with contempt of court.

By asking Aunty Crocodile-tears Natasha to shut her trap about the case except in court, they're doing her a favour.

That woman should stay at home and take care of her family. No amount of reputation-tarnishing campaign she dedicates herself to will be successful. This is Nigeria, and she's got her case against a hardened Nigerian politician. No reputation will be damaged; she's just wasting her time and making lawyers smile to the bank. I will only take the perennial former presidential candidate Sowore seriously if he adds himself to that list. An untrained but desperate politicial office seeker is more dangerous than a well-known and scheming politician who thrives on controversy. Sowore fits the description, hence a dangerous man indeed.

Let's not go back and forth over the inappropriateness of 'attending' a new job interview on the premises of your current employer, and possibly utilizing their other resources as well during the virtual session.

It's extremely difficult to believe in any political process in this country when it comes to administration of justice. But Natasha is a politician who enjoys the relative protection of her political cronies. We must not forget that It's not a mean feat for anybody, especially a woman to emerge as a senator in this country! Hundreds of millions must have been judiciously 'wasted' to fulfill her lofty aim of becoming a federal legislator in the Upper Chamber.

Having said that, I very much doubt it that her fellow honourable members would hang her out to dry over this matter if there was any iota of truth in her allegations. For crying out loud, most of them are seasoned politicians with loads of money and influence that could not be bought off by the Senate President over 'something' he hasn't tasted (at least madam senator has not accused him of rape!).

I think she's been found out to be a mega liar by the Committee, but they would rather not wash her dirty linen in public lest it soiled the Senate further.

It's in honour of a colourful masquerade in my area in my childhood. As a little child, I was in awe of the masquerade. There's nowhere in the report that he raped "the victim". The word "defiled" is used because he had sexual intercourse with an underage girl.

While there's no evidence in the report, it could be surmised that it was a relationship oiled by exchange of money; many "underage" girls are in such relationships everywhere, especially where poverty thrives.
