It is doubtful that an iota of seriousness is attached to the polling feature on this forum! What sort of polling questionnaires are posed on the topic?!! When I have the time, I will continue to point out these seemingly illiterate polling questionnaires. We are far more educated than this! |
What's there to poll on an unfounded and unverified opinion of an individual who is clearly biased in his allegation or claim? Nairaland needs to desist from making a mockery of polling as a research tool to weigh public opinion. Its arbitrary administration on this forum is gradually becoming an institutionalised nuisance. |
She is lying. They lie to trend. And use the opportunity to market their flesh business. Just look at her. |
Since he has admitted his incompetence as a direct result of distractions caused by family issues, shouldn't he be prosecuted for criminal negligence? Or the purported serious family matter that warranted this sudden resignation began just yesterday after leaving the Villa? We should seriously look into passing a law that criminalises making a fool of the Nigerian public for telling uncreative lies; it's some kind of national embarrassment! |
Until all or most suspects of a potentially bloody coup have been identified and arrested, no government in the world would admit there was any attempt at overthrowing it. Security operatives at the highest levels would openly deny any such attempt to create a false sense of security for the suspects, especially those that might foolishly hope their involvement would never be discovered and to lure home those who might still be foolish enough to return to the country if they were out to buy themselves alibis. Getting involved in a military coup is one of the simplest but surest ways to become infamous especially if the attempt failed before it had even had a slim chance of near-success. No legitimate government would harbour failed coup plotters. |
I understand her clearly. That's a professional talking there. Yes, you can can do anything legitimate including dancing to promote your work or business, but don't take advantage of other people. Don't force it down the throat of others to engage in a promotional activity that benefits only you, but somehow demeans others because they don't willingly volunteer for it. This happens a lot in other businesses too including private schools where teachers are forced to go about distributing flyers! Can you imagine something as ridiculous as that? |
Ahayalift:Speak for yourself. You have a lot to learn from sharia-wielding Muslims. No problem for as long as YOU admit that YOU have a lot from them. I've got nothing to learn from intolerant practitioners of any religion. I've got nothing to learn from individuals who will not hesitate to murder in cold blood in the name of religion. I've got nothing to learn from people that insist that I must conduct myself as they dictate once they have the instrument of control - legitimate, pseudo-legitimate or outright illegal. That man has just made his most costly political mistake. His political ambition will not survive that careless and thoughtless utterance. |
Precious201010:Very very funny! What a creative observation! |
Mr Sowore, a very active political activist! Keep it up! You make "beta" noise as an activist; let's keep it that way. You sha know there's no presidency for you. Activism suits you a lot better. Thank you! |
Let the illiterate man continue to deceive his fellow illiterate followers. Their governors and National Assembly members and others will make sure they over-comply! The silly goat must be thinking taxes like these new burdens carefully packaged are paid to door-to-door tax agents (thugs). |
Goodmarlian:Apoda! A patriot defends what's in the Constitution even if he was against the provision at the formulation stage. To enact a constitution, provisions are proposed, discussed, negotiated, amended and adopted. Once that's done, the adopted version becomes a binding legal instrument on all parties, irrespective of your stance during its creation. However, you can lobby for amendments in the legislature, not go to war. Awolowo defended the Constitution he helped create even though he was not solely responsible for its rigid clauses. |
While it can be entertaining sometimes to see the extent that some people are willing to go to display their ignorance and illiteracy, it can be annoying likewise! The Nigerian agency simply reacted to a recall, initiated by French authorities, of a particular product that failed to declare ingredients that may be harmful to SOME people. How can you then possibly interpret that as incompetence or political manipulation? As seemingly strange as it may sound, SOME people react badly to consumption of eggs and/milk. Some religions, such as Judaism, forbid taking of dairy products with meat. In fact, you may not use the same utensils for them, and you may have to eat them separately many hours in between! Some regulatory agencies take such matters seriously, especially the health risks associated no matter how minor. |
The wicked man is lying about "stealing of his glory". That's nothing but an afterthought nonsense to "justify" his repugnant crime. I'm almost certain that police might soon discover that the killings were not his first. If they were, he must have been into fetish rituals before he and his evil herbalist decided he needed to "upgrade" his money juju. I hate jungle justice, but in this particular case I wish all the heartless perpetrators had been caught by the public before the law "saved" them from a dose of their own barbaric poison. Hopefully, justice would be served earnestly; they don't deserve any prolonged suit. May Almighty God grant peaceful repose to Funmilayo and the innocent baby Sewa. May their souls rest in peace as we pray for the family to have the fortitude to bear this terrible loss. |
shortgun:You can lie! Or just being conveniently selective of what to remember when it comes to the tested-and-confirmed terrorist now in jail. Maybe someone cloned his voice on the illegal Radio Biafra calling for violent attacks on security agents among other criminal incitements. |
FreeStuffsNG:It's difficult to comprehend how people like you reason! You really believe that in a country of millions of people - many of them educated and not necessarily so young - only the same tyrant of how many years should continue ruling! You actually believe that Biya won the election because he was loved by his people, because it was a free and fair election? You really think that young and eligible Cameroonians only needed to earn the right to lead their country despite the peculiar danger of their national politics? Something is fundamentally wrong with your thinking! |
She didn't cook any of those dishes. Her types only go about looking for friends who are good cooks. In fact, I doubt she's a legitimate student anywhere but University of Social Media (TikTok & Instagram Campus). |
Some people, unless they're great pretenders and propagandists, do not know the meaning of "beautiful" in giving an accurate description. Therefore, they should be forgiven for labelling a few ordinary pictures as "beautiful" when they're actually just plain. When they see truly beautiful pictures of some cities, I'm sure they'll be dumbfounded not only because they can't believe their eyes but because they lack fine descriptive words to express their amazement. |
b0rn2fuck:"We" do not reward anyone for nudity or scripted immorality; the organisers of such pseudo-entertainment do with the passive collaboration of their audience. Meanwhile, the feat achieved by the teenager has been recognized by the government who didn't have to reward her for participating in an academic contest that brought more fame and PR mileage to her school than the nation. In case you don't understand clearly, winning that language contest doesn't make her the best teenage user of English in the country. |
What sort of CCTV camera moves along with the 'performers' like shooting a cheap action movie? The camera, outside during the initial encounter, moves to cover the movements of the main actors. How is that CCTV footage? Or am I imagining the movements in the frame? And before you start quoting me unnecessarily, I know there are CCTV cameras that are activated by motion, and can actually follow movements because they have the functionality. But the one purportedly in use outside of the premises is not a high-end CCTV camera with such function. |
That's a warped statistics there! DNA test is not even remotely close to the census of a small village let alone the whole Nigeria! That one out of four is from a very limited population of families that already have paternity suspicion before going for the test. Nigerians don't just routinely wake up to go and conduct a paternity test. Some level of suspicion, an outright claim by another man or inheritance disputes lead to DNA test; it's not some routine test carried out on a sizeable number of the Nigerian population. |
Well, I didn't watch the video and I've got no intention of doing so. But I doubt the action was taken without approval from the appropriate authorities even if that was not clearly stated. It's a no-brainer that government wouldn't permit every Dick and Harry to modify a public road in the name of safety. A speed bump on a major road would also require road signs to warn motorists. I don't think anybody can just erect such traffic signs without violating some traffic laws. |
Many are here pretending they live in a better place than this. We love preaching everytime that a person should live within their means; they shouldn't live beyond what they can afford. And that includes accommodation. There are people who rent hundreds of thousands of naira apartments, but they struggle every year to pay up. Sometimes they owe years of rents. Many would rather constantly get unending loans to live in "decent" flats. Meanwhile, some of the people who humble themselves to live in a place like this, more often than not end up in their own houses. They're daily motivated to get their own homes. They rarely aspire to get a better accommodation other than their own house. In fact, many live in such houses as some kind of financial sacrifice for other needs. And it is not a miracle that many children raised in such houses and neighborhoods are not only streetwise but motivated to have a better life. In conclusion for now, living in a house like this or starting your life in a house like this doesn't stop you from being successful, and doesn't mean you'll become a criminal or an immoral person. |
That headline is very misleading! This is not 'showing off'! This is calling attention to a disaster in the making because it's evident that the owners of those buildings might be rich enough to buy that tempting piece of real estate in the first place, but they are definitely NOT rich enough to build any lasting structure on it. Even if it's legal to buy and build on it, a plot of land on that stretch will take billions of naira to develop it. The current 'owners' must have realized that it was a futile investment borne of a lack of common sense or greed, or both. |
The headline is misleading. There's nowhere he called the amount a 'bribe'. Even the biased headline thoughtfully put the word bribe in quote either for the sake of deniability or to make it look like the actual word used by the man. It's quite glaring that he didn't mention what the payment is really meant for nor who receives it. Is it expenses incurred in lobbying or statutory charges for sponsoring and presenting bills in the House? The 'accurate' report fails to mention that. Or the reporter forgot to ask clarifying questions on the revelation. |
I don't think it's 'presidential' for an ambitious runner for the top job to get involved in something as relatively mundane as an altercation between a transport service provider and a customer! There are more serious national and regional issues at stake that should not only occupy a serious mind running for the position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria but also daily drive them to the point of proffering tangible solutions that will benefit over two hundred millions of Nigerians. And it shouldn't matter that they're not yet the president. They can 'loan' useful ideas to an administration they deem incompetent because they love the welfare of their people more than the job. The constituted authorities should be allowed to do their job. And aggrieved 'victims' do not need a presidential hopeful to seek redress. |
Great and historic feats like Mission X of our dedicated heroines will definitely attract sincere and grateful compliments as they deserve. We won't be too shock, however, to hear of a couple of demented comments from some perverts that have been unfortunately enabled beyond their asylum by the internet! Esther Okoronkwo, we've got your back. Let the insane coward show their face. Meanwhile, congratulations 🎉 once again, our queens. |
That false report is nothing but AI-generated piece of writing by a very lazy and unprofessional journalist. He simply provided some background information and "tasked" AI to do the rest. The machine simply went ahead and used the stock sports reporting style without any updates. No media house that's worth its salt will forgive such an embarrassing blunder that clearly discredits its reputation without sanctioning the culprit. |
BareFacedLies:Succinctly put! Thank you 👍 |
T-H-I-S is the correct spelling of this! The question is quite straight forward! The options provided are simply distractions. |
What sort of inept logic did our career presidential candidate use to arrive at such a childish demand? |
Before saying this, I've read several vdm did this and that. Take note that most Nigeria policemen are not just complete illiterate, but lack the usual native intelligence to do the job. Having said that, a few Nigerian policemen are actually well-educated . That few is enough to question the reason why vdm should be arrested in the first place without some credibility to the allegations. |
Stolen:If you see nothing wrong in stealing, especially stealing from your own brother who trusts you, I don't know what to say other than to advise you to check your conscience. I can't imagine myself cheating my siblings so blatantly! It's unspeakable! |
