Hello, my bestfriend did an ultrasound in union diagnostic center at 20weeks and it says she's expecting a girl. Her last LMP is 28/22/2016 and scan said her EDD is 26/09/2017 pls can this result be accurate. The baby is very healthy

Her last LMP you mean 28/12/2016? EDD is always plus or minus 2weeks so makes the EDD considerable accurate.

it depends on the fertility check you are doing? a pelvic scan will help determine the state of your uterus(womb), if your uterus(womb) is okay the we need to confirm if you are ovulating by doing follicular tracking, if all is well after tracking and you still cant conceive then sono-HSG will possibly be another option to check if your fallopian tubes are not blocked. But the procedure is not carried out by your CMD neither is the person a radiologist/sonographer i.e a doctor/medical personnel trained to carry out such. I dont know the qualification of your staff though but they dont look or sound professional. I feel you should improve on your image and rebrand. I have done ultrasound in your Ibadan and I was not impressed. I went to your Ikeja branch and dint have the scan eventually, everywhere was looking dark, the reception was unkempt, the place felt spooky.

Whoever attends to you at any of our Centre is a qualified sonographer with minimum of 2-3years experience in the field, but we all know that the level of interpersonal relationship of individual varies with but no to give excuse be rest assured that the management is seriously looking into all you said and be sure of a better atmosphere and service by your next visit.

Same thing happened to me too. I guess their popularity have gotten to them.

The day I went there, Same lady who was the receptionist attended to me. There was no light, I had to wait For her to send someone To get fuel and then power Gen.

The scan was rushed and i felt duped. I actually travelled a distance to come do it.

This feature is a part of what we carry out when you come to omvial for ultrasound, which gives us nearly 100% assessment of your fetus well-being and rule out any form abnormality. So more than the pictures and video that we do give the assessment of the fetus which is the primary purpose of the scan is always our number one priority.

Images gotten during ultrasound are also determined by some factors, the amniotic fluid, the position the baby, the age of the baby etc. All this above factors affect what you see when you come for a 4D scan, which makes some find the experience more interesting than the other but the basic assessment is carried out for all, but no matter how poor it may seems it is always a better view than having 2D scan, it gives accurate and clearer view that the examiner and even the patient need not to be guessing about whatever they are seeing. The images also influences what the image you will be given will look like but be sure you will be given a detailed report and the sonographer will always explain in details whatever he/she is doing.

On images we give one image as our standard practice, however at request we give more than one, while we still give video once compiled together and it sometimes take time to do that is why we do ask you to come back for it, for the conversion from the machine format to avi or mp4.
