Maybe because it wasn't launch in Nigeria and the price is relatively higher than the note series

It is absolutely worth buying, you can never go wrong with it. Price should be around 150-170k for the base variant.

The 9k difference btw global rom & Chinese Rom seems much to pay for multiple language I would never use...

If it is the Chinese version ,you'd be missing out on the additional lte bands (20 for MTN, 28 Glo) though you'd be able to use the other 4G bands of these networks if you are in a location that supports them (band 7&3 respectively). You'd also have deal with the issue of playstore being uncertified,thus having a problem using some apps like dstvnow,Netflix etc.

The only solution now is to back up your data and factory reset your phone. You have wrongfully clicked on some sort of virus when you visited a site,hence y the ads keep popping. Factory reset.

No commands seems to be working anymore. My phone is on and locked but nothing is working, except the power on and volume buttons. I can't unlock, I can't turn off, nothing seems to be working. My phone is alive, but unconscious. REDMI 8A. I didn't do anything unusual, except update my MIUI 10 to 11 last night.

Press and hold the power button for about 5-10 secs, phone should go off. Then you can power it on.

Really don't understand what you mean by the black Friday deal tied to the coupon, you do know you can't use all that select coupon on one item right? The select coupons can only be used on some specific items.

It is business strategy, if they add finger print to the Redmi 8a,then what's the point of the Redmi 8? Do not forget Redmi 8a is an entry level phone and they will surely come with many compromises. If the fingerprint is a deal breaker, then go for the Redmi 8.
