Pls any body in the house can help me with this little problem.i drive a 2000 model honda accord(babyboy),i noticed that it takes time to move after applying brake for some time when i am at a roundabout or after climbing a bump.my mechanic said is the gear sensor and he had it adjusted,now the problem has resolved a little but there is usually a deep sound(noise)when i am driving below 20km/hr i.e, gear 1 and it revs to about 3000rpm before changing to gear 2 if i press a little hard on the pedal.The gear is changing easily,i checked the transmission oil and it appear brown and a little below the crisscross mark.Pls i need advice to d possible cause(s) of this problem.

Thanks 4 d wonderful advice you have being giving on this thread.pls i ll like to ask you some question that i need clarification on.I m a starter,i want to get a car soon.i ve bin considering getting babyboy 1999/2000,but people warned against it cos of the gear problem.pls can you tell me about (1)the maintanance of the gear to prevent such problem,a frnd said he always change the gear oil every 1 or 2 month
2) how long does it take for the gear problem to start
3)what is the danger of buying a naija used that subsequently develop such a problem.tnx

So happy to see this thread.i never new nigerians have so much hatred for that thieving network.i pray they never realize their mistakes till they loose all their customers.As for me,my mtn sim is already in my godforsaken 2nd fone and my etibaba in d brand new fone i jst bought,mtn sim will never taste the sim slot.i am also making sure that i get at least one of my colleague at work evryday to change 2 etisalat or glo.
