Dis reminds me of my own, I also saw rope dangling but she shouldn't make any attempt of pulling it off. No hot water down there except sitz bath pls, and d water for sitz bath shouldn't be too hot also. It will heal up with time

The water should be warm, not hot. Some even do cold water. She should add salt and savlon (optional) yo it and sit in it for 5 minutes like thrice to 5 times in a day.

The rope could be the thread coming off as a result of healing (some use the dissolvable kind) or could be loosening. Only a Dr or nurse can confirm. But if the site is gaping and shows signs of not being healed, I think she should see a Dr.

Good afternoon mamas

Her episiotomy site is giving her pains. It was not like this before, the pains just started suddenly, now sitting well is a problem
She said she can see a rope dangling down there undecided

, does it mean the stitches are healing or coming off? embarassed

Her mumsy has been using hot water (not too hot) on her tummy and down there, could that be the reason?

Any suggestion on what to do about the pain and dangling rope?
