Sports / 6 Reasons Why Mikel Is A Chelsea FC Legend by finestsuccess(m): 4:43pm On Jan 04, 2016
My Opinion why Mikel deserves to be called a Chelsea FC Legend..
Chelsea FC did not choose Mikel Obi.. JMO chosed Chelsea and he remain truthful to it,the veracity of the matter is not he is one of the most underrated Chelsea player, however he maintains its utmost love for Chelsea FC, while trending on tweeter in Africa, Nigeria, UK And USA for most part of yesterday.
Despite all the turmoil at Chelsea, one thing has remained a perfect constant throughout – John Obi Mikel.

The Nigerian midfielder has been there throughout all their recent managers and is now enjoying a renaissance under Guus Hiddink.

Mikel has been restored to the team since Hiddink and at a time when many Blues fans have fallen out with the majority of the squad, he remains a beaming light of professionalism. It shouldn't be a surprise to see the whole section of the Away team against Crsytal palace chanting John Obi Mikel name, notable football fans were tweeting his name all round. As a loving Chelsea Fan I pulled out 6 reasons why Mikel deserved to be a Chelsea FC Legend haven't spent over 10 years in the club, my opinion is subject to criticism but let's do this after going through my salient points

And here’s 6 reasons he’s a true Chelsea legend.

6. He chose Chelsea over Man United
Everybody knows the story of how United agreed terms to sign Mikel from Norwegian side Lyn in 2005, only for Chelsea to move in.

Mikel turned down Man United despite posing in their shirt (Picture: Getty Images)
They eventually negotiated an agreement for United to cancel their pre-contract agreement, and Mikel chose to join Chelsea despite already posing in the Red Devils kit and having a press conference.

Proper hero!

5. He’s won loads
Make no mistakes, while he’s not always been a regular in the time, he’s got an incredible trophy cabinet.

He really enjoyed winning the Europa League (Picture: Getty Images)
Mikel has won the league twice, FA Cup four times, Capital One Cup twice, a Community Shield, the Europa League and the Champions League.

Add to that the African Nations Cup and Chelsea Young Player of the Year twice. Most players would be envois of that.

4. He’s pass completion record is insane
Mikel’s passing isn’t always cutting open defences or clearing from his back four, but that doesn’t mean they’re not accurate.

Mikel is the master of a sideways/backward pass (Picture: Getty Images)
In his first three years at Chelsea he had the highest pass-completion in the Premier League, boasting an impressive 89.93%. That’s even better than the likes of Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard or Man United’s Paul Scholes.

He’s since returned to those stats, being the only player on the pitch to gain possession as many times as he lost it against Crystal Palace, and completing 78 of his 82 passes.

3. He never complains
There’s been a couple of alleged revolts in the Chelsea dressing room in recent years – which have ultimately led to the exit of the manager.

Mikel is always smiling (Picture: Getty Images)
Andre Villas-Boas and more recently Jose Mourinho were reported to have gone after falling out with the players, but Mikel was never mentioned as being one of the players involved, even though he’s not been playing much.

He’s a lover not a fighter.

2. He actually has unreal tekkers
A tough tackling central midfielder, people forget that Mikel actually has some pretty impressive skills in his locker.

Remember that backheel assist against Everton? Gorgeous. For Nigeria he plays in a more advanced No.10 role (even rocking the No.10 shirt) and often produces moments of attacking magic.

Stop it, John Obi!

1. He’s loyal.
Mikel made just 18 appearances for Chelsea last season and has been used in a substitute role increasingly over the last few years.
But despite that, he’s refused to push for a transfer away, despite Besiktas and Galatasaray both admitting in the summer that they wanted him.

Instead, he’s just got his head down and worked hard, and has now got his place back in the Chelsea line up – without saying a thing.

A true gentlemen and a true legend

Sports / Breaking As Athletico Madrid Prepares Audacious Bid For Ighalo by finestsuccess(m): 4:51am On Dec 31, 2015
The in form Nigerian/Watford star Odion Ighalo who ended British 2015 football calendar as the top scorer with 30 goal could be the subject of a £12m bid by Spanish title contenders Atletico Madrid in January, as he sits just one goal behind Premier League top scorers Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku.

The Mirror report that the Spaniards have watched him at least five times this season, and are considering a move after £25m signing Jackson Martinez flopped - but not until the summer, leaving Watford with time to plan ahead.

Crime / Revealed: Top10 Lagos 419 Tricks You Should Never Fall For by finestsuccess(m): 7:59pm On Sep 22, 2015
A lot of people explore the various opportunities
that are available in Lagos which usually cuts
across getting a job or engaging in a business.
Some people however have perfected the art of
duping and scamming people in the city. The
more people are trying to avoid getting caught in
the web of scammers, the more intelligent they
get. The scam, popularly called 419 which is a
section of the Nigerian constitution that deals
with fraud is very rampant in Lagos and you need
to be smart not to fall for them.
Here are 10 Lagos 419 tricks you must be wary
of.
1: Visa Lottery
The desire to travel out of Nigeria in search of
greener pasture is a weakness which fraudsters
prey on. Visa lottery is one of the opportunities
available to travel to America and Europe. These
fraudsters open fake websites or adverts for Visa
openings asking people to apply and pay a token.
The string of payment begins when they inform
you that you are close to securing a visa to the
country of your choice. If you are not careful,
you might end up paying more money than you
would have if you were following the due process
to secure a visa. At the end, the 419ers don’t
even have any visa to provide.
2: Money Doubling
This trick involves being asked to provide any
amount of money with the promise that the
money would be doubled. The elaborate drama
involves the supposed money doubler
‘successfully’ doubling the money provided by
random persons. The idea is to get you
interested especially if you are the greedy type.
If you put in a little money and you get double
the amount, you are likely to try with a bigger
sum which is when you will be scammed.
3: Prophet Of Doom
This scheme is meant to prey on the weakness
of those who subscribe to religion. These
fraudsters are aware that most people in Lagos
believe what they are told by religious leaders
and thus pretend to be one. The fake prophet
approaches and tells you he can see through
some imaginary means that you have a spiritual
problem and randomly mentions one or two
problems you might be going through. He is likely
to tell you that your great grandmother is
responsible for your woes and he alone has to
key to unlocking the bondage. If you believe him,
you are likely to spiral down a tunnel of lies.
4:Small Investment; Big Reward
Investments, especially in Lagos is expected to
yield big financial rewards but you should be
wary of the ones were little is known about the
‘business’ except that you are only asked to
provide some money and wait for your money to
grow. The scammer might give you list of names
and people ready to testify that the business is
the only way you can make it big in Lagos.. as
soon as you are in, you are likely to be in the
scheme until you have sold all your things and
borrowed more before you are left alone. By
then, it is already too late to do anything as the
scammer will disappear to the underground.
5:Familiar Face
This form of scam is activated and completed in
less than a minute so you need to be careful and
smart. If someone suddenly grabs you in a
friendly bear hug and says it has been a long
time you last saw each other while you are
struggling to see the person’s face, then you
have been hooked. It is likely the person will
release you from the grip, look at your face and
apologise that you look very familiar and makes a
comment that people are created in twos. As
soon as the person goes, he is sure to have
disappeared with your mobile phone, wallet and
other valuables you have. How this is done
remains a mystery but as soon as someone hold
you in a deadlock, better push away and
apologise later if the person is someone you
actually know. It is better than being squeezed
dry.
6:Bag Of Money
This trick is a very elaborate one meant to pull
the victim in until there is no way out. The
scammer who is a member of a larger group
pretends to have stumbled upon a bad of foreign
currency but the money is supposedly under the
siege of a spiritual spell. The plan is to entice
you with the large sum of money. You are
expected to follow the group to a spell where the
spell can be broken and the money will be safe
for spending. As soon as you follow the group,
you are definitely going to lose your money in a
bid to pay for the spell to be broken.
7:Winning Number
With the different promotions being done by
companies to reward their customers, scammers
are keying into this scheme to defraud people in
Lagos. Text messages are sent to random
numbers that they are the lucky winners of large
amounts of money in the on-going promo of a
company. A phone number is provided for you to
call in order to claim your money. That is where
the scamming begins as you are asked to pay
some amount of money for the money to be
transferred to you.
8:Foreign Relative
This scam also involves mobile communication
but unlike the Winning Number” which begins
with a text message, this scam is initiated with a
phone call from a person who claims to be a
distant relative and is living in one foreign
country. The scammer then milks you a story
about his decision to send you some goods and
that you need to send some money to an
account before the goods can be cleared. As
soon as you fail to detect the scam, you are
definitely going to pay a lot for your mistake.
9:Job
With a lot of people looking for jobs in Lagos, this
scam is not easy to detect. Lagosians lose their
guards when there is the offer of a job and might
not take the time to find out how credible the
job is. This scam involve job seekers who were
selected usually without applying for that job
being asked to submit their Cv and some
processing fee. The processing fee is not likely
to end until the job seeker realises that he has
been putting water into a basket.
10:Accident
This scam plays on Lagosians’ emotion which is
usually uncontrollable when they get the news of
an accident. In this case, the scammer calls to
inform you that a member of your family is
involved in an accident and is in critical
condition. Your phone number was found on the
victim’s phone and you are expected to send
some money so the person can receive adequate
treatment. It is reasonable to call the person’s
number first or someone who might have more
reliable information before proceeding. If not,
you can realise too late that you have fallen for a
419 scheme.
And if you have been tricked once plz share with us so that others can learn. To

NYSC / Come In HERE And Check How Ghost CORPERS Are To Be Bursted By September by finestsuccess(m): 6:54pm On Sep 03, 2015
Abuja – The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has developed a biometric data capturing technology that will help in the nationwide conduct of weekly and monthly check on corps members. The Director-General of the corps, Brig.-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, said this during the inauguration and practical demonstration of the programme at the Kuje Area Council, Abuja. “It is going to make sure that corps members stay in their places of primary assignment. It will reduce the rate at which they travel. “It will help the core employers to benefit from the services of these corps members maximally because they will now remain in their places of primary assignment. “We have policies in the scheme that guide absence from places of primary assignment. For example – there are certain number of times a corps member can be absent and such a corps member – in punishment – the service will be extended. “We are not doing this in isolation it is in line with the policies of the scheme. It is going to bring transparency and accountability into the way we do things. “My staff, who have been conniving with corps members in the past will not be able to do that anymore because unless such a corps members cuts the thumb and gives to anybody to thumb print for him.“ The DG said that six members of staff were presently facing possible dismissal from the scheme after being caught engaging and conniving with corps members to leave their places of primary assignment. He said that the disciplinary measure being taken was in line with the public service rule and the NYSC condition of service. He said that the biometric technology made provision for corps members who may genuinely fall sick or have reasons to be away from their areas of assignments during the course of the service year. Olawumi said that the biometrics would first be deployed for use in Lagos and Abuja adding that it will be fully adopted by other states of the federation next year. “This exercise will start this September with corps members of batch C 2014 who will be passing out soon and batch A 2015 and it is going to start this September in Lagos state and the entire FCT. “Batch B 2015, those who will be in Lagos and FCT this biometrics will be applied for them throughout their service year. By next year we will try to extend it to all the other states in the federation. “The demonstration, which we are witnessing today, is part of the second phase of the computerisation process of the operations of the NYSC scheme for the purpose of enhancing our overall performance. “Let me also allay the fears of some corps members we are going to make it very user friendly. “We are going to do it in such a way that it will not impose additional or inconvenience on you than what you face presently.“ He said that the analogue system which was previously in use promoted unwarranted journey to schools to collect call-up letters which led to accidents or loss of letters and in some cases some persons missed the service year. The DG urged corps members and staff of the scheme in states and local governments to embrace the process with diligence in order to make it a success. He said that the service would not tolerate acts geared towards sabotaging the success of the program noting that the scheme was working assiduously to computerize all activities of the scheme in line with global best practices. According to Olawumi, by this, the NYSC like other agencies of government will be positioned to render seamless, efficient, and effective service to Nigerians. The D-G warned corps members wishing to stage any form of protest either on non-payment of allowance or other matters to desist from such endeavor as there was no provision for such in paramilitary agencies. He said that corps members caught would be severely sanctioned and disciplined calling on states and local governments owing allowances to corps members to ensure immediate payment. Olawumi said that the biometric technology was already in use by the scheme as ID cards of corps members had chips which were used to identify and locate them especially in cases of emergency. “The package also includes a change in the certificate they will receive at the end of their service year. The certificate of national service will now carry the passport photograph of the corps member to forestall theft. “Employers of ex corps members can now login the NYSC website and verify the certificate and authenticity of other information presented them” he added. Earlier, the Chairman of the Kuje Area Council, Hon. Ishaku Saban, lauded the hard work and diligence corps members serving in the council showed in the discharge of their duties. He assured the scheme of improvement in infrastructural development in order to improve the condition of the people and corps members living within the area. Dr. Micheal Ikhide, the Director corps welfare of the scheme said that the task of effectively monitoring corp members nationwide had remained a challenge to management. Ikhide said the launch of the biometrics would check cases of absenteeism, submission of monthly clearance letters by proxy and other forms of indiscipline among corps members. (NAN) SHARE ON
