Prophetic Focus for FEBRUARY 2017

My Case is Different greetings to you all in Jesus’ name.

There is no doubt that everyone of us has enjoyed unusual grace in the just concluded 21-day prayer and fasting. I pray that the effect shall continue to bring forth testimonies all through this year in everyone’s life in Jesus Name. To God alone be all the glory.

Before our very eyes, darkness is covering the earth and gross darkness the people, uncertainties pervading the atmosphere but God has ordained our exemption. As it is written, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee” Is. 60:1-2

According to scripture, until the Book, that is, the word of God is opened to a man the struggle of life continues. – 5:1-5/6-12
It is also discovered that believers are much more victims of ignorance than they are of the devil – 4:6/ Is. 5:13/ Job. 34:10-12/31-32
Therefore, our real challenge is not with the powers of darkness, but with the absence of light – 60:1-3/ Jn. 1-5/9
Obviously, light is our real seal of exemption from the horror of darkness – 2:16-23/ Dan. 2:46
Nothing repositions the believer for an exceptional life like revelation – 45:3-5/ 2 Cor. 3:18
We are spiritually illuminated to dominate our world – 1:5/9/ Gen. 41:38-44/ Gen. 45: 7-8
According to the word, revelation is the way out of all the challenges of life – 28:1-13/ 2 Pet. 1:4 / 1 Cor. 10:13
One cannot be exempted from the powers of darkness without light; therefore, our year of exemption must be our year of abounding revelation. 2 Cor. 12:7/ Act.14:11/19-20
But it is the word we engage that transforms our lives, not just the word we understand and receive – 28:1-13/Lk.5:4-7/James 2:18-24/26
It is also common knowledge that the value of light is in walking therein because one cannot benefit from the effect of light with his eyes closed. 8:12/ Jn. 12:35-36
Therefore, the prophetic focus for the month of February 2017 is:

MY LIGHT HAS COME – Is. 60:1-22.

We are all required to engage with the word like never before this month, not only to know what is written but to put same to work believing, thereby commanding dominion over the forces of uncertainties that is pervading the world around us.

Actually.....I have known people personally who suffered in that way.

And my response is simple...I follow Christ.

Quite a while ago, a group of missionaries were brutally murdered by some people they tried to preach to. Ten years later...the wives of the missionaries were working in the same area....and all five of the leading murderers were converted....and the tribe they were working amongst was said to be ''impenterable''

Many years ago...I visited a village in the Far North...that had a church. That village was known to be so Muslim...that they drove off several missionaries who had tried to go there. But...one man, who was not even a missionary...persevered...and today there is a thriving church in that village.

Let me be honest with you....I think that Christianity is a weak man's religion. All that turning the other cheek...is just nonsense. But behind the nonsense...is a truth....that becoming a Christian means that you acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus...and by extension his power, dominion and will. Even when it does not make sense.

Many Christians died in the persecutions of the Roman and other Empires...but it did not mean that the Light died out. Our God is our refuge and strength...and we have to believe it...even if it does not seem so.

At no point did Jesus Christ challenge the constituted authority, at no point did Jesus ask his followers to kill those who persecuted him and his followers, at no point did Jesus Christ need the help of a politician who wouldnt pay his workers salaries to avoid been arrested, neither did any of his disciples.

At no point did d diciples decide they had had enough of the persecution and decide it was time to retaliate, even wen Peter was imprisoned, thts after James was imprisoned and beheaded, what the disciples did was pray and God sent an angel to set peter free.

How Nigerian Pentecostal pastors are asking their members to take laws into their hands is questionable, how dey decide to add fuel to the fire is unimaginable, how pentecostals see
nothing wrong with this self acclaimed apostles statement shows u d level of decay we have gotten to.

Good afternoon.

Now, before I comment, I would like to issue this disclaimer...

I do not approve of the violence being comitted by anyone, including Fulani Herdsmen. I approve of people settling their differences within the ambit of the laws governing this country. We have the police, the courts, traditional elders, etc....let's use them. It is better to jaw jaw than to fight fight.

Now...on to my main comment.

I cannot fathom why CAN would back a man who said that it is ok to kill members of a certain tribe if they enter his church or waylay him.

Has CAN become an organisation for the promotion of violence?

Has CAN forgotten what the bible says...that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal....

CAN should go back to the bible...and read about a man who once upon a time ran around attacking and dealing violently with Christians. He even wanted to head to another city to continue his violent anti-Christian activities....but he was waylaid by a Divine Being. And even then, it took the activities of Christians like Barnabas...to welcome him into the Church.

CAN and Pastor Suleiman are not doing the right thing. I am sorry, I know this does not make me popular...especially as many Christians have suffered in this country over the years. But to start responding to our 'persecutors' with our persecutor's weapons.....shows that we are not Christians. We are just another group of Gentiles.

And even then, the language used by the Apostle Suleiman is similar in nature to the language that certain extremists used in a certain country about another group of cattle rearers. We all know how that ended (Hint...800000 people died.).

But the sad thing is that the Apostle Suleiman brand of Christianity is popular in Nigeria. Many Nigerian christians have given up using the weapons of God, and have switched to the weapons of Satan. We now use the same carnal weapons favored by the Enemy....forgetting that the more we use them, the more we get manipulated into our Adversary's trap. And our Adversary has no face. Our Adversary is not represented by any religion, creed or tribe. Our Adversary is legion. And such an adversary can only be fought with the tools our Father has laid before us...the tools of prayer, and of doing what is right before the Lord.

It is high time CAN and Christians stopped using the language of violence and hate...and used the language that God has taught us to use. We Christians are the LIGHT of the world....not the fire that ignites bushfires that combine into a conflagration.

Nigerian Christians....awake.It is time we returned to the Lord....our strong Refuge...and turned away from refuges built by men.

I pray we do so.
