Just like I said in the other thread, most (not all oooo) Civil Engineers are very good in coping what someone had already done before even if it's not the same thing. I watched the making of the hotel in Dubai (Burj Al Arab), even after doing the design and had already gone far in the project(about 250m above sea level), the Architect Tom Wright decided to introduce a diner on the one of the top most floors. Now this diner was to span about 40m on the air, without any columns. Imagine a cantilever of about 40m on a height above 250m. The engineer said it was not possible but the architect insisted that it was. At the end of the day, it was achieved. Now that's an Engineer that thinks.

Na so some engineers de do but not all though. I've seen a hotel in Owerri with a cantilever of over 5m. I will take pictures when next I visit there. Some Engineers no just want challenge or stress.

I'm not that good at giving estimates hence my reason for omitting them (it's not my job anyway). I wouldn't want to post something and then a Quantity surveyor will give another. Each man to his field.

Client meets an Architect for the kind of designs OP posted. Architect gives his price and the Client claims he has someone who will do it for less than half the price.
After the job has been done, Another person like OP will come to generalise after seeing the "clients" house.

I love the 5 bedroom penthouse design. I want with the design with slight modification. I would want the house car pack eliminated and the masters bedroom to be larger with a box room on the first floor

The thing is most engineers are lazy and they just copy and paste. Did a design with a spiral staircase, the engineer copied one that he had already done before with a different radius entirely. After person go come tell me say him de correct my design.
