A man has been arrested by police after eggs were thrown at the King and Queen Consort during a walkabout in York.

The 23-year-old was held on suspicion of a public order offence and is in custody for questioning, North Yorkshire Police said.

As the eggs landed, a suited protection officer positioned himself next to the King and briefly held his shoulder.

People in the crowd booed and shouted "God save the King" and "shame on you".

The protester was heard to shout "this country was built on the blood of slaves" as he was detained.

The King nearly stepped in one of the eggs but appeared unruffled and continued walking.

The incident occurred on the second day of an official royal visit to Yorkshire, during which the King and Queen Consort later travelled to Doncaster.

The royal couple were being welcomed by city leaders in York when several eggs were thrown at them as the protester booed the pair.

Charles continued shaking hands with dignitaries including the Lord Mayor as the eggs flew in his direction, pausing briefly to look at the cracked shells on the ground.

The eggs missed the King and Queen Consort and they were ushered away.

Several officers were seen restraining a man on the ground behind temporary fencing set up for the King's visit.

Witness Kim Oldfield, owner of the Blossom Street Gallery, said she was standing in the doorway of her shop "enjoying" the couple's arrival when she heard "some booing and eggs flying".

"I glanced across, [saw] the police just descended on the barrier and tried to drag this chap over the top.

"About five eggs he'd managed to send.

"Camilla sort of flinched a little bit when the booing started but they [police] quelled it really quickly. Just a shame they spoilt what was a lovely moment."

Transgender influencer, Nikita Dragun was reportedly placed in men's unit of a jail after being arrested in Miami, Florida on Monday, November 7.

Nikita's Rep, Jack Ketsoyan who confirmed this, described it as "extremely disturbing and dangerous".

Jack said in a statement;

Cops said she was walking around naked at the pool in The Goodtime Hotel, before dousing officers and security guards with water.

A police report obtained by TMZ showed security operatives responded to a report of someone causing a disturbance and being extremely disorderly at the hotel.

Police say when they got there, hotel security told officers Nikita had been causing a disturbance for a long period of time and walking around the pool area naked.

Nikita reportedly ignored demands to stop causing the disturbance and at one point intentionally threw water on hotel staffers.

Once officers arrived on scene, they say they went with security up to Nikita's room, where they heard loud music being played.

Nikita opened the door after several knocks, but when security explained to Nikita she needed to cut it out or she'd be asked to leave the hotel, Nikita slammed the door in their faces.

A few moments later, cops say Nikita opened the door again and asked security, "Do you want more?" Officers say Nikita then swung an open water bottle, causing water to hit and spill on both the security guard and the officer, resulting in her arrest.

She was subsequently booked for felony battery on a police officer, misdemeanor disorderly conduct and misdemeanor battery. She was booked at Miami-Dade County's Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $5,000 bond.

American actor, Chris Evans has been named People's Sexiest Man Alive 2022.

The star of “The Gray Man” and Marvel’s original Captain America was revealed as this year’s honoree on Monday November 7, during the evening broadcast of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

The 41-year-old actor accepted the award remotely from the set of his upcoming film after being introduced by former title holder Dwayne Johnson, 50.

“It is with humility and gratitude that I am thrilled to announce that People magazine has decided to award me the incredible honor,” Colbert began to raucous applause, before revealing his joke. “…Of announcing the sexiest man alive for a second year in a row!”

“Say something sexy,” Johnson implores. A sash-sporting Evans stares down the camera, points and commands, “Go vote tomorrow.”

The daughter of former deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, appeared in a UK court today November 7, to answer to claims that she trafficked a homeless man into the country to harvest his organs for herself.

Ekweremadu, and his wife, Beatrice were arrested in June this year and have been standing trial alongside their doctor, Obinna Obeta, for charges bothering on conspiracy to arrange the travel of another person with a view to exploit him and harvest his organ.

It is alleged they conspired together, with others unknown and with another family member Isaac Ekweremadu, to arrange the travel of a 21-year-old man identified as David Ukpo Nwamini, with a view to exploiting him between August 1 2021 and May 5 2021. They have been accused of facilitating David's travel from Lagos to London to remove one of his kidneys and use same for their daughter, Sonia, who has a kidney-related disease and has been on dialysis for some time.

While in court today, the prosecutors claim the plot was to harvest Nwamini's organ for Sonia's benefit. The prosecutors told the court that the Ekweremadus and their doctor were arrested after the young man, who previously lived on the streets of Lagos, turned up at Staines police station, claiming he was the victim of trafficking.

Prosecutors claim Nwamini told police officers he had arrived in the UK on 20 February this year and had been taken to Royal Free Hospital for tests, none of which he consented to. After these tests, Nwamini said he had returned to the house he had been staying in, where he was 'treated effectively as a slave'. Prosecutors claim he escaped the address and was homeless for three days before going to the police.

Mr. Ekweremadu and his doctor are currently on remand in HMP Wandsworth and HMP Belmarsh respectively. They did not appear in court today.

Mrs Ekweremadu who was granted bail at a hearing in July, appeared in court today alongside Sonia.

The defendants were due to enter their pleas but this could not take place today because of further legal argument.

The trial has been brought forward from May 2023 to January 31 2023, at the Old Bailey.

The Ekweremadus and Obeta will next appear at the Old Bailey on 16 December this year.

Ahead of 2023 general elections, Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom has reportedly stated that he won't be supporting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, due to the killing of Benue people.

The Sun reported that Governor Ortom stated this Sunday night, November 6, when he hosted Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, Seyi Makinde of Oyo and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state in Government House, Makurdi.

The four governors were in the state ahead of the flag-off of PDP election campaigns for the 2023 general election as well as the commissioning of some projects executed by Governor Ortom in Makurdi .

The publication stated that Ortom who lamented the killing of 18 people in his Local government last week, said;

“To hell with Atiku and anyone supporting him. They should go and tell him. You want me to be slave for a Fulani. It’s better I die. Anybody supporting Atiku is an enemy of Benue.

“My people are being killed and you want me to be quiet.

My tenure ends in may and you can do what ever you want if you think you have the powers. I have written my will. When I gave it to my wife, she cried all night.

If I die at 62, many of my mates have gone long time ago and If I die today, I’m a fulfilled person but let it be recorded that I died resisting the invasion and killing of my people.

“I will never support a Fulani man to become president. If there is another person who is ready to work with me and ensure the security of my people, I will work with him,” Ortom said.

He said Wike holds a title as the Eagle of Tiv land noting that when he, Ortom, was attacked, Wike was the first person who roared that ''kill Ortom and you have killed the whole Nigeria.''

“He did not keep quiet when Benue was under siege, he visited with stakeholders from Rivers state and committed N250 million and subsequently he has committed over N700 million to Benue IDPs.
