Politics › Re: Why Did Buhari Replace His Address With Video Tape When He Was Present? by Firefire(m): 8:21am On Mar 21, 2015 |
agabaI23: On Thursday Buhari met with women in a TownHall at Lagos. Fashiola addressed the women first. He remembered only one promise which GEJ made to Lagos that he has not fulfilled. That promise is fixing the airport road. The second was power which we has improved though not as expected and we all know milestones have been achieved.
After his address, the video of Buhari's new year was played. Amaechi was called up to talk. Buhari was live and direct.
I thought that was disrespectful to the ladies.
I also noticed that the women there were high class women. At least 3 women who spoke in succession were complained that their children who are abroad want to come home but cannot fit in because the society won't allow them to function. A few women were permitted to ask questions. The lady who moderated the Q&A was behaving like she was selected from Nairaland. She was using the mic to embarrass the ladies. " speak to the mic, ask only questions, speak to the mic, be audible.... etc. This only happened when she sensed that someone wanted to ask a revealing question.
My questions are
1. Why did APC choose to play the video of Buhari's message while he was there choosing to allow others speak. Is Buhari still sick?
2. Was the TownHall meeting meant for the rich and wealthy alone? What about the market woman who he claimed he is coming to give eternal life?
3. Why is it that APC youths are rude and aggressive when things do not go their way? What else do you expect from failed party, caricature and nothing more |

Politics › Re: Electing Buhari As President, Disaster For Africa – ex US Envoy by Firefire(m): 7:50am On Mar 21, 2015 |
OLADD: Wake up from your slumber and face the reality. It's too bad if there's any gullible Nigerian who has been brainwashed by Buhari's hoax, pretence and new songs of civility.. Before castigating the former US envoys spokesperson or FFK, do yourself a favour by dissecting the veracity or otherwise, of their claims and compare vis-a-vis with the actions of Buhari in the past. In light of the above, pls swear with your life if the ffg are true or not; 1. That Buhari had once vowed to entrench the practice of Sharia throughout Nigeria despite knowing the secular nature of the country.
2. That Buhari once condemned the killing of Boko haram members and canvassed for the sect to be granted amnesty.
3. Buhari once tagged the fight against Boko haram as an onslaught against the north.
4. That Buhari was once nominated as a negotiator with the Federal Govt by Boko haram. This is rather curious and suspicious. Why Buhari despite the existence of thousands of Muslim clerics in the north? Were the terrorists attracted to Buhari because of his religious radicalism ?
5. Do we have any reason to suspect Buhari for consistently choosing pastors as his running mate in presidential elections? Is it a ploy to coverup his sinister fundamentalist posture?
In conclusion, leaders all over the world who are aspiring for political positions are assessed based on their antecedents and Buhari's case should not be an exemption. He has a grossly tainted past and his election as Nigeria's president will pose a danger not only for our existence as a nation but that of Africa as a whole. Good job. All your points are valid and could not be disprove by anyone, I posted few screen-prints above to support it. Mr. Boohary can NEVER rule Nigeria again, NEVER! |

hush15: Sir, whether you an relgious extremist is not even the question at all. Even if I agree that you not following your choices for the deputy, what is happening is simple.
You past is hunting you and not until you confront it, it will continue to. Its call Nemesis. You need to do a national broadcast and apologise to those you offended specifically and to Nigeria as a whole. You just have to pocket your pride to forge ahead. Tender a national apology and openly request for forgiveness and God might answer you through the people. I dunno why I am advising you but I want you to be at peace with yourself, the people and with God.
You won't win, not cos I said so but cos you already made it so.
Your counterparts know better ans that's why people like Gowon, Babangida, Abdulsalam are chilling and make the most of their old age.
You think you are exceptional, yet you are not ready to do the exceptional. Pele.
God exalts the humble, and resist the proud.
Simple It is called posterity.

kay1one2: Boko haram chose this man as their negotiator! They must have seen the same fundamentalist ideology they fight for in him! No wonder he can't produce his certificates! Didn't say he doesn't have any (at least waec) but probably burnt them in front of yusuf as a show of solidarity to boko haram! Now some myopic people will be chanting his name as a candidate in the upcoming elections! Nawa! I pity the brainwashed people...

maestroferddi: Damage limitation.
She committed a gaffe. Full Stop.
I have heard her mouth off prostitution from time to time.
How many times has she condemned the sundry societal ills against the girl child in the north like female genital mutilation and child brides?
APC supporters define hypocrisy perfectly. The woman is attempting to cajole our people and bamboozle them with her words. I have never heard her speak about the attached, why is she mocking Edo people
