I'm an Arsenal fan so I'll give a similar example. When Martinelli came in, he was an instant hit. But he started getting recurring injuries and we all thought he will become another fraud. And when he later got injured again, Arteta did something that seem like freezing him off from the squad. He said he wanted Martinelli to heal properly. The surprising thing is when Martinelli came back from injury,the coach still refused to play him and even played ESR (a midfielder) ahead of him. The coach's excuse was that Martinelli is not ready. We all thought the coach hated him. Now, look how fit and sharp Martinelli looks now.

Fact is if a young player is getting injured frequently, he should be given a time off for proper treatment and training to allow him to rediscover his fitness and form. I'm not sure if that's what Xavi is trying to do.

However, selling Fati is not the right option now for the club because he is still undiscovered but if his agent insist, then they should let him go and also if the player himself want the move.

You sure know what I am talking about.. They don't know that Xavi is trying to make the guy know what it means to play for a proper 11. If he doesn't see it as a way to improve, then he is simply not good enough to play at an elite stage.

Ferran Torres is a very good player. It's just his confidence that suffered abit. Next time, pay attention to the way he moves off the ball. You'll see why coaches like him. Once he becomes a consistent finisher, you'll appreciate him more.
