simpleseyi: Good, let all the Northern APC governors be removed, so that it will be Jona-daft appointing all governors. We are waiting for Jona-daft in the South-West. Let him come and plot the impeachment of the APC governors in the South-West also, History is a biatch, it always repeats itself. The first, second and third republics came to an end due to the refusal of the South-West to be caged by the Hausa-Fulani/Ibo conspiracy.
Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa and Nnamdi Azikwe colluded to imprison Awolowo in the First Republic, we know what it lead to; Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa paid with their worthless lives while Nnamdi Azikwe fled to London or where ever and the First Republic ended abruptly. At Second Republic Shehu Sagari and Alex Ekweme colluded and rigged the 1979 and 1983 elections, the South-West refused to accept the forged election result leading to the 1984 coup, we can still remember how many months Shehu Sagari spent in house arrest and several months that Alex Ekweme spent in prison after the Second Repuclic too was brought to an abrupt end. Professor Humprey Nwosu was so scared of the evil nonentity called IBB and the vagabon Arthur Nzeribe such that Humprey Nwosu refused to release election result and evil nonentity called IBB cancelled the June 12 election. The South-West made the country ungovernable even for the evil nonentity called IBB and the devils first son called Abacha, we all know what happened thereafter.
Jona-daft, his illiterate Dere is God oo a.k.a Sheppopo wife and his South-South and South-East fools have started again, bring it on, we are waiting for you in the South-West, history is about to repeat itself, but remember that only the Second Republic ended abruptly without loss of life, all other Republics ended with lost of lives. Many lives have already been lost in this blood sucking Jona-daft Republic, hence it is obvious that this Republic will end with lost of blood bath, but whose blood will flow apart from the North-East that is already flowing? Only history will tell. You are the biggest FOOL that ever existed, its a pity your father wasted his hard earned money on your school fees. I'm sure your parents are not recognized anywhere in this world and you open your smelling mouth raining abuses on my President and his wife. You are very immature... |

Politics › Re: (Revealed) Aviation Agency (NAMA) Bought four Toyota Tundras For Minister Oduah by fishbone11(m): 7:27am On Oct 22, 2013 |
Usbeel: https://saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/news-page-images-480-wide/page_images/news/2013/NAMA-Limos.jpg https://saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/news-page-images-480-wide/page_images/news/2013/NAMA-limos2.jpg
A new SaharaReporters investigation reveals that the National Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), another agency under the Ministry of Aviation, also purchased four Toyota Tundra vehicles for the Minister, Mrs. Stella Oduah.
Nigerians are currently up in arms about two armored cars purchased for her by another agency, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, at the scandalous rate of N225million, and many are calling for her to be fired.
The Tundras are in addition to four stretch limousine cars that were allegedly purchased for the movement of VIPs.
Saharareporters obtained the photos of the Limousines, which were parked at the headquarters of the Total Radar Coverage of Nigeria (TRACON) grounds in Abuja today.
Efforts to get the NAMA spokesperson, Supo Atobatele, to comment on the fresh allegations proved abortive as he claimed he was driving and could not speak on the wheel. When later confronted with the facts, Mr. Atobatele denied the existence of the stretch limos claiming that NAMA is a “professional agency” that provides navigational aid to aircrafts flying within Nigeria’s airspace. He hung up and switched off his phone when further told that Saharareporters had the photos.
NAMA’s CEO, Nnamdi Udo, reportedly made the purchase and ‘donation’ of the Tundras to the Minister in June 2013. The four Limousines were received in the third week of June but have never been put to use.
Last week after SaharaReporters revealed the purchase of two BMW armored cars for the Minister, her aides and later the Managing Director of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Fola Akinkuotu, claimed the vehicles were meant for VIP movement, but a former lawmaker and leader of Anti-Corruption Network, Dino Melaye, told SaharaReporters today that it is the duty of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to transport international VIPs in Nigeria.
He also revealed that the most important Aviation inspectors are teams from the ICAO who already have a Nigerian office which handles all their transactions.
SaharaReporters could not confirm if the NAMA limos are armored. It is also unclear why NAMA, an agency believed to be cash-strapped, would need stretch limos that are normally used by celebrities, to ferry international VIPS.
Meanwhile, a high-level source has confirmed to SaharaReporters that the Total Radar Coverage of Nigeria, which Mrs. Oduah brags about as one of her achievements in office, provides epileptic service. Because it often breaks down, the objective of establishing a safer national airspace is said to have been compromised. Foreign airlines are said to rely on their built in navigational equipment for air safety within the Nigerian airspace.

Politics › Re: Alleged Plot To Kidnap Amaechi Uncovered by fishbone11(m): 10:20am On Oct 18, 2013 |
Donchyke39: A plot allegedly directed at forcing Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State out of office in a way former Governor Chris Ngige of Anambra State was subjected to in 2003 was unveiled, yesterday. The plot, allegedly aimed at forcing Amaechi out of office through blackmail while being kept incommunicado, it was claimed yesterday, would also involve family members of the embattled governor as co-conspirators. The plot was made known in a statement by the Rivers’ Peoples Forum, RPF, signed by its president, Mr. Charles Bekwele. Central to the plot, as disclosed by Bekwele, is that the governor would be seized in the same way Dr. Ngige was held hostage on July 11, 2003, few months after his inauguration as governor of Anambra State and subjected to physical pressures to resign from office on account of alleged differences with his estranged political godfather, Chief Chris Uba. The point of the blackmail was, however, not detailed in the statement by RPF, which claimed that Amaechi would be seized and forced to record his resignation speech for subsequent broadcast. The chairman of People Democratic Party PDP fac in the state, Felix Obuah, who has led the campaign against the governor was in a meeting when Vanguard sought his reaction to the statement. A text message sent on the issue had not received a response at press time. RPF in the statement said: “This fresh plot to illegally remove Governor Amaechi from office is another desperate move by the Abuja cabal that is desperate to remove the governor from office by all means possible. This Abuja cabal has hatched a four-part sinister plot that is planned to end with the governor being blackmailed and threatened to resign from office. “Incontrovertible information at our disposal indicates that the Abuja cabal working with some expired politicians in the state has planned to execute this plot within three weeks. The hatchet man of the expired politicians is a former Rivers State legislator, who was recently involved in the failed plot to remove the state Speaker Otelemaba Amachree, which led to the fracas in the state Assembly. The said former legislator lobbied the state legislators with promises of huge sums of money to impeach the Speaker.”
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/alleged-plot-kidnap-amaechi-uncovered/ This is a cooked story from Amechi's camp to rubbish GEJ...will someone plan evil and give details of his plan? Amechi!!! How many times did i call u? What u'll see will be de shock of yr life if there's a plan to remove u from office. |

The move will make imported cars more expensive thus, promoting the purchase of locally manufactured vehicles.
Punch sounds like it supports this move. Really, I personally think it lousy! It's not about tarriff as it's about electricity availability! Besides it's not federal government that makes the industry. It's technology that does. If there's no native Nigeria auto tech or improvement thereof, raise the tarriff as high as anything and we'll all need to jump up on the unavailable trains!

If the new govt policy is meant to encourage indigenous vehicle manufacturing, increase output and enhance the quality of fully made in Nigeria cars, fine and welcome. But if the policy is meant to encourage foreign manufacturing companies like Toyota, Peugeot, Mercedes, Ford, Tata, Opel, Volkswagen, etc., come to Nigeria to establish assembly plants, then Nigeria's govt has taken a reverse policy, a backward policy, as far as automotive development and manufacturing in Nigeria are concerned.
Nigeria has had some of the above named automotive companies assembling their vehicles in Nigeria for decades, how far did they impart their technology of vehicle production on Nigerians? To what degree did their assembly activities positively influence Nigeria's economy?
In the recent past, India's Tata manufactured a very good car that sold for US $2000. If indigenous vehicle assembly plants and prospective vehicle manufacturing companies in Nigeria are not subjected to suffocating competition from foreign cars assembling companies in Nigeria, before long, Nigeria's indigenous car manufacturing companies can replicate the Indian Tata feat of bringing up brand new good cars that may sell as low as 1.2 million Naira

Politics › Re: Boko Haram Again! by fishbone11(m): 2:10pm On Sep 29, 2013 |
Completeguy: KANO (AFP) – Boko Haram gunmen on Sunday stormed a college dormitory in Nigeria’s conflict- scarred northeast, firing on students as they slept, the military told AFP, in the latest such attack blamed on the Islamist insurgents. Security forces were at the scene but details on the number of dead and injured were not yet available, area military spokesman Lazarus Eli said. The early morning assault targeted the College of Agriculture in the town of Gujba in Yobe state, Eli said. It was carried out by “Boko Haram terrorists who went into the school and opened fire on students,” while they were sleeping, he added. A police source, who requested anonymity, told AFP that initial reports indicated the death toll could be high but he was not prepared to discuss figures. Gujba is roughly 30 kilometres (18 miles) from the state capital of Damaturu. Yobe has seen a series of brutal attacks targeting students in recent months, all blamed on Boko Haram. The worst occurred in July in the town of Mamudo, where the Islamists threw explosives and sprayed gunfire into dormitories in the middle of the night, killing 41 students. The name Boko Haram means ‘Western education is forbidden’ and the group has repeatedly attacked schools, universities and colleges during its four-year insurgency. The military has described the spate of recent school attacks as a sign of desperation by the Islamists, claiming they only have the capacity to hit soft targets. The defence ministry has said that an offensive launched against Boko Haram in mid-May has decimated the group and scattered their fighters across remote parts of the northeast. While many of the recent attacks have occurred in more remote areas, often targeting defenceless civilians, the unchecked killing has cast doubt on the success of the military’s campaign. The northeast remains under a state of emergency imposed on May 14. Scores have been killed this month, including in the northeastern town of Benisheik in Borno state, where at least 142 people were slaughtered by presumed Boko Haram fighters who came disguised as soldiers, set up checkpoints and fired on motorists and bystanders. Some of the recent violence has targeted vigilante groups which have formed to help the military. Boko Haram has said it is fighting to create an Islamic state in Nigeria’s mainly Muslim north, but the group is believed to made up of different factions with varying aims. A toll earlier this year said the conflict is estimated to have cost more than 3,600 lives, including killings by the security forces. The current figure is likely much higher. Nigeria is Africa’s most populous country and top oil producer.
