Professor Itse Sagay (SAN), a renowned constitutional lawyer has called on President Bola Tinubu to probe the activities of the Ministry of Justice under former Minister, Abubakar Malami (SAN).

Speaking in an interview with worldviewafrica, Sagay, who headed the now disbanded Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) in the last administration said he agreed with civil society organisations who are calling for a probe of Malami’s activities during his tenure as Minister from 2015 to 2023.

According to him, Malami ran the Ministry of Justice in a very shameless manner.

He said “I agree one thousand percent with those calling for a probe of the Ministry of Justice. The former Minister, Abubakar Malami ran the ministry in a very shameless manner. So many things were wrong during his tenure as minister”.
“I don’t want to say too much at this stage but I think that ministry needs a probe because it wasn’t run in a transparent manner at all” .
